Season’s Greetings Just Curious Readers!

2009 has, for the most part, been an amazing year. So much happened and there was never a day that went by without us hearing, reading or seeing something that was just too funny, too sad, too ridiculous or stupid nje. From television, to radio, amaphepha, the net, sho, what didn’t we see nje this year?

With all the “Best of 2009” lists that are flying around, the highlights of 2009 and the decade have been well documented so there’s no need for me to add to that list but I do have my wish for the stars in 2010 and that will be on a separate post.

Just Curious was launched on 25 November 2009 so Christmas day will be our one month anniversary! Yay!

We’ve had a great first month and thank you to each and every person who supported us by visiting the site, linking to us or just spreading the JC word, we truly appreciate the love. It is always difficult to launch a blog when there are thousands of hot and interesting blogs out there but for some reason, Just Curious landed with a bang. We received massive support and just as we had hoped, we got people talking.

A big thank you to Jucy.co.za, Globaroo and Mikastefano.com for the features on their awesome sites. We got good traffic from your referrals, hope you guys will grow from strength to strength!

How could I NOT send a huge shout out to JC’s talented team of writers!

The SportLite, Just Scandalous, Jozi Insider and Phathu Makwarela you are my dream!

It does not get better than you, thank you so much guys, Just Curious is very blessed to have you, may God bless you as much as you have blessed this place with your talent. Wish you sweethearts a super festive!!

We will also be welcoming 3 new contributors in 2010 and their focus will be on Books/Music Reviews, Relationships as well as Politics. I can’t wait to welcome them to the team and with them coming on board, I’m confident that we will have enough interesting content to keep our readers coming back for more.

For all the other writers who have unsuccessfully applied to become JC contributors, please do not give up. Just because you can’t write for JC doesn’t mean you can’t start your own blog and succeed. I am definitely willing to assist and guide you where necessary so do keep in touch and we’ll help where we can.

The JC writers are on leave till January and I will also be away from 26 – 02 January 2010 so the site will be very quiet next week :-( apologies for that. My planned trip to Paris & Amsterdam will be well documented though so look out for my “travel blog” up in January.

    LOL Lerato…my whole plan for going to France even though it’s as cold as it is, is because I heard my baby Thierry was at home. I’m not coming back till I find him, wife or no wife! lol.

    Blessed holidays B.S and all the J.C team, you guys really keep us in touch with Mzansi.The more the merrier in this miserable weather-but nothing spoils Paris IMO so you will have fun despite the snow.lol keep a lil bit of misletoe in your purse for Thierry-I will talk to his people to arrange with your people…hehee with Tiger Woods and his ho ho hos I’m told black is the new white for these billionaires, so uzoza naye ekhaya uThierry for sho :)

This site is one of d things dat kp me sane in any state i fynd maslf in. Testimony,d day my man was admited in hospital i ws stn there panicing n i loged on n heard abt d death of Nciza’s child n 2me it was lyk God ws tln sm ppl r goin tru worse n i shud b glad dat my man is stl alive. So rly ds is not js an entertainment site bt its ol dat n mo. Enjoy ur festive 2 gal n may ds site grow stronga n stronga n as long as its here nam ndizobe ndilapha.

    Oh yini Lela!! Unyanisile my friend… I can always count on you to comment, no ba ndibhale ububhanxa kakade lol. Enkosi sthandwa sam ngayo yonke iinto and I know and am very appreciative of the passion u have for JC.

    I’m so touched by that testimony sister Lela (LOL) hehe. But honestly though, didn’t know he was still in hospital all this time. We thank God for sparing his life. Hope the whole family will have a great Christmas, luckily daddy’s out of hospital just in time to spend it nani :-)

Tjoe, my ppl finaly left….kunini ndibathundeza… I gav them early b/fast, packed their picnic bags, and on several occasion I walked them 2 the car park… hayi tu….! They even ate “a late brunch’ of inyama ebendiyi braaya 4 them 4 the late evng… hayi suka, bhetele kwa wena… let me nap 1st and then catch up with tv…. at least i will watch programe of ma choice, kunini ndibukeliswe u sky news? I understand about expenditure, my guest r fortunately self sufficient shame… (except 4 ma lil sister… that woman must just finish school & get a job, she z draining me…..), they arvd on Sunday & r leaving on 29th… They know ma policy… 1st stop 4rm airport z always my local Pick & Pay (with Woolworths foods 4 those who r ….), I always stay in the car & let them go buy & pay all what they will need during their stay in ma place…LOL

    The only entertainment I paid 4 them was the ostrich steak that I braai(ed) this mng, twas suppose 2 b a treat a treat 4 da evng kodwa bayitye emini… mfncim…. However, the fatigie of having ppl z just too much….

    Talking bout hair… I heard my Lil Sis mumbling sumtin bout her hair…. this I prefare not 2 hear… Enjoy the evng
