When Julius Becomes Emperor

December 2, 2009 by

zumamanI must admit without shame or regret that I was one of those people who never thought that Msholozi would ever make it to the Union Buildings. Don’t blame me though,  the man was dogged by more scandals than Eric Forrester and Kenneth Mashaba combined, from rape charges to a corruption rap sheet  long enough to cover Eloff street.  He had it all, now that was good  reality TV. My bet was that he would never taste the throne, but I was wrong.  I now I have to contend with Noxolo Grootboom & co. calling him: umongameli waleli whenever they read the news.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate the man, neither do I judge him -  in fact I admire his ambition, he was set on being the president and nothing was going to stop him.  How I wish my ex had the same ambition, we could be married and having triplets by now. Zuma’s rise to power made me realize that anything is possible in Mzansi. My silly mind could not help but wonder what if Julius Malema becomes the next president.

Before you call me crazy and move to another  blog, indulge me. Who would have thought that a president would be toppled at some obscure mini-version of a city called Polokwane? However, it did happen, and no one ever remembers a man by the name of Mvuyelwa Mbeki.

ntatemalema

Julius fascinates me as a person, at times he reminds me of the late Peter Mokaba – the man who coined the now outlawed slogan: kill the boer, kill the farmer!

Whenever Julius speaks, he leaves me with a bitter-sour taste in my mouth, one of shock and disbelief. I can’t help but wonder if he is the most stupid politician of the twenty first century or the smartest man in the room, much smarter than 5th graders? One thing I know is that if he becomes the commander in chief, Helen Zille will emigrate to Australia or New York, I hear they offer discounts on facelifts and tummy tucks.

What kind of presidency would Julius offer us?

I think President Malema is going to cancel Generations, ban kissing and sex scenes on TV – everything will be like the characters in that soapie who do not kiss or drink beer and we will have to watch him and his fat parliamentary members.

130205malema_quotes

Imagine Julius Malema documentaries on TV and radio, 24 hours a day! What if he nationalises mines, strips banks of their independence or worse, puts all whites on his own version of Amistad and ship them off.

I don’t have a crystal ball nor do I read tarrot cards, so I cannot predict the future, but my question remains:  what kind of leadership style will Julius bring to the union building, if he ever makes it to power? I am sure someone out there can enlighten me….

On a lighter note: Can someone get me the cell numbers of Zuma’s sangoma, I have some legal matters than need to be sorted out.

Julius I think will be the kind of president who shouts on top of his lungs about every issue that he thinks he knows betta about.

He’ll spend most of his time being a chatterbox.

KWA KWA KWA@ Zuma’s sangomas’ numbers. Lol, Ive heard a lotta folk say that… figuratively, of course. But eish, u may never know, some meant it.

Julius is truly a force to be reckoned with. Whether you love him or hate it, you can’t escape him. His way with words will always keep us waiting, listening on what he has to say… and boy does he always have something to say! I can’t imagine him running the country. Whoever said nothing is impossible?… U can’t live underwater without some form of oxygen supply… But I digress…

Anyways, so the Zuma bit was just an intro? I was a bit confused by that…

By the way, triple KWA KWA KWA @ the Helen Zille running off to a country where she can get a cheap offer on breast augmentation and tummy tuck! kwa kwa kwa

He sounds exactly like Mugabe….*anything is possible huh*

  9. Bra Bizza on Wed, 2nd Dec 2009 6:44 am

I think he doesnt aspire to be President of the Country but of the ANC. There are people who are trying to change the image of the ANC, and Julius Malema is at the forefront of fightin that battle, hence he comes out strong and say things he says.

There’s a behind the scenes war, which Zuma also fought and won and at the time, people didnt understand what kind of the President he’d become and now that he’s at Union Buildings he’s dealing with issues facing the people, not his personal issues. So people must not fear Julius, based on silly remarks he makes.

He is young lion of the north out to pounce, pounce he really did pounce on Debra last nite, Debra also tried to nullify the leader of the ANCYL…

Blows where traded, casualties where minimal, the moment was savoured by audiences country wide…
    Juju ke seqabolane, motlae…

  11. Gee on Wed, 2nd Dec 2009 8:31 am

He is an idiot. I dread the day he makes it to Parliament

  12. GA on Wed, 2nd Dec 2009 9:30 am

Eish, the heartburn is arising now. Wabona, im zero % deplomatic when it comes to these 2. I still find it hard to accept Umungali welele, I HATE watching him read speeches, if i want to hear i’d get a trascript, listen on radio or get a podcast.
Juju, even his pictures just piss me off. The one where he is laughing its like tshega nna so i want to “take millitant action”.

However, i understand the power about these men. Infact i spoke to someone who knows a lot about the inner circle, who told me tht apparently people (big people weho matter) are scared of him coz he gots dirt on them. I wondered why Nedbank didnt hit back at him and torn him apart when he made “accusations” about them calling them racist dring the ASA Caster drama. They were almost apologetic and somewaht protecting him when they set the record straight. And he did say he will expose them for who they realy are and i thought..oh please there he goes with rhetorics. So this guy is no run of the mill 100% zuma 20% wodwork harry, there is something there. Pity its for our heads to crack whether tht something is destructive or not.

There is one young man (relatively) whon i find fascinating. I say he is the hybrid of RobertMugabe nd Julius Malema….the 37 year transitional president or something of Madagascar with a sick cool name. Andry Rajoelina. The era we live in……

  14. Bruised Ego on Wed, 2nd Dec 2009 9:39 am

The day Juju becomes a president it will be finished with this country, yes we need people like him to tackle racial issues and other issues, but sometimes he becomes too pessimistic and generalizes things….He needs to work on his tongue and act like a matured man, i know politicians sometimes go overboard but if his attitude towards issues does not change then ANCYL is where he would rather dwell!

I admire Malema, he is not afraid to speak his mind, he would be a caring president and service delivery would be his main goal. If he were to runfor presidency i would rethink about voting for the ANC again…LOL.

  17. Vesa on Wed, 2nd Dec 2009 10:25 am

It’s amazing how much power he wields. I was at a Corporate Breakfast some weeks ago, and one of the speakers gave a brief speech about him and his utterances. It was very interesting to be in a corporate environment and listen to great business men talk about him…..they fear his utterances as they believe (utterances) have so much substance and can do damage even to reputable entities.

  18. GA on Wed, 2nd Dec 2009 10:26 am

okay, os im watching 3rd degree now….hmm.
Debra Patta: Mostly condescending in how she asks the questions and how she takes his response.

Julius: His sense of humour about the serious staff is warming my heart a little (shud i be worried aboyt slef)….heartburn is going down a bit. I must say nommater how hard D tries to bring out the “stupid” in him and even highlight it with the question marks. Juju is stililll kinda sorta woning her.

Pleasantly suprised on J’s side…its only been 10 minutes…lets see what happens next.

Okay…he clearly doesnt need Floyd Shivambu…he can rep himslef quite well infact.

    *whistling*..yerrr….dayyyum….*whistling hard*
Gaaad im afraid this interview will make him even more popular lllawd have mercy….

  19. Mudalo on Wed, 2nd Dec 2009 10:39 am

He is doing excately what the ANC need him to do, destruct others Act stupid, be the Rebel, told to insult other. None seem to have notice.

Simple example Hillary concentrated on insulting Barack ‘s inexperience than campaining, She lost.

we are still bickering about Julius than concerntrate on issues at hand, while he continues to distruct…

  20. Lique on Wed, 2nd Dec 2009 10:47 am

Debra failed to show juju’s stupidity, instead, she made a fool of herself on national television! Im nt a fan of juju, mara i liked how he handled the interview n i think it made him gain more fans. Ppl watcched, xpecting to flinch n clench their teeth throughout the interview bt instead it warmed their hearts seeing a different side to juju. Oh… I should stop! I seem like im praising him…*eeuw!*

  21. Johnlegend on Wed, 2nd Dec 2009 10:57 am

    I just watche 3rd Degree…..Juju is stupid.

  22. Johnlegend on Wed, 2nd Dec 2009 11:04 am

I disagree with you Lique….Debra’s intention was to expose expose Julius’s stupidity and Juju fell for it.

  23. Pjay on Wed, 2nd Dec 2009 11:26 am

I think, regardless of how hilarious that interview was, that man speaks poison only! Everything that is wrong is blamed on whites…..if not that, then its the media! Post 1994, this is not the attitude that a leader should have, or be spreading!

Ok,my moment of serious is over……….what a moegoe, yoh yoh yoh!!!

  24. blu on Wed, 2nd Dec 2009 12:03 pm

  25. Bruised Ego on Wed, 2nd Dec 2009 1:18 pm

Thanx @Pjay n @Johnlegend…Juju did not win Debra instead she won at proving how ignorant he is *nuff said to him about his ignorance & i shall not dwell on that*….That interview made no sense, instead Debra enjoyed showcasing juju’s ignorance and people think juju won just because he was the loudest *remember empty vessels*…..Claiming that whites are racists, how on earth? Mandela fought 4 that and its done…….Not all whites are racists…..Claiming that every single issue in SA is due to racism…Mxim!!

  26. Momo on Wed, 2nd Dec 2009 3:10 pm

Hey bloggers! can I copy and paste my comments from the Debra blog “She was so condescending…i developed some love for Juju right there and there…@ GA & Lique- I’m so with you!
@John Legend if a case study were to be done after last night show I say Juju would have lost nothing but actually gained a few fans while Debra lost a few…especially creditabilty a journalist so needs…How much more of Julius’s stupidity could she really expose??? think about IT….the man had always be known to be stupid!

  27. Mancu on Wed, 2nd Dec 2009 3:31 pm

Mahle amazinyo ka Juju shem or is it false teeth? #justcurious?

  28. Xoliswa on Wed, 2nd Dec 2009 5:40 pm

i love me some juju. he’s so real and entertaining. he isnt stupid though. being a member of the YL i know we’d never have voted him in had he been stoopid. he’s not diplomatic i agree and he is a bit of a loud mouth but none of that matters and none of it are prerequisites for his office. love him, hate him or be in differernt this is a man with a mission. as for Debra Patta, she is a bitter person. she doesnt interview she attacks and tries to look smarter than her interviewee by enraging them and mocking them on tv. typical

  29. Lady D on Wed, 2nd Dec 2009 11:14 pm

Juju is so not dump,he might not be educated but he is very wise, what i love about him is that he’s got courage,he’s got the will to do and achieve, which is something some so called intelligent people lack.Juju stands his grounds, ofcourse like he said,he is a diamond which still needs to be polished.

Juju is ultimately going to be the president of ANC,he’s far from being the president of SA though!

    Hi Bloggers,

I think it is important for us Youth of SA to get inclined with the political issues of our country as we hold the future of this country, As for Juju i’m not sure if i’m a fan or not as i like most of the things he says but my problem is how he says them. And whether he can articulate or not… i dont blame him as english is not his Mother tongue as like most of us, and i would like to agree with Xoliswa about Juju being elected by ANC Youth League whom are propably highly educated, i feel gore Juju i just used as the YL mouthpiece and mouth say he is good at it as he comes out very Blunt and straight forward in mamy cases. With racial issues he always preach
about i think i high time that someone stands up for most of South Africans who are still being abused by the whites of SA who does not want to be liberated.

I’m from Soweto and my parents always told me about apartheid and some riots i still have some small memories about them and how they use to come beat people at school and still remember smell of Tear Gas and how Boers used The Inkatha (IFA) to kill most our family members…. and it really drives me up the Wall when i still see racisim at this day and time esp here in Pta, worse i had to attend ko University of Pta where the lectures are 99% white and treat you badly as a young black person, now i work in Pta and i still experience Apartheid. So on that note i really support Juju and i say he makes lot of noice about it until this Whites stop with their Racism and please dont get me wrong here coz not all Whites are rasict but most are still esp at work places where they hold high position ithink thats where they find a chance to oppress us.

I wish i watche the Interview on 3rd Degree Phato… But guyz please lets try to not to criticize for the sake of criticizing but lets be constructive with our critics.

    Ayoba Juju!!!

I am a die-hard ANC loyalist who has been part of this thing they call “the struggle”.. something Comrade Julius and his ilk only read about in autobiographies of stalwarts..

and all i can say in my mutterings whenever I see this boy on TV are two Xhosa words I learnt I learnt whilst studying at UWC..

    uyaxhoka.. and sibhanxa..

  38. Sbudah on Thu, 10th Dec 2009 12:42 pm

Fair is fair – Julius seems arrogant, pompous and ignorant but let’s all step back a bit. Does ANYONE have a better candidate for Presidency among us?

Julius may seem like Idi Amin, Robert Mogabe or any other dictactor known to man but fact is he *always* thinks about what is right and good for the people and is willing to be prosecuted by even those that he fights for.
