I see Avatar taking most of these Oscars and as for Morgan Freeman maybe I was watching a different movie I don’t agree with the nomination. District 9 is up against the best I don’t see them taking an Oscar , happy they got nominated though

Oscars ayang’bora coz most of the movies come out (in SA) after the actual ceremony. So you cant really make a great judgement. but congrats to district 9 & invictus coz they are south african related.
Monique must take the supporting actress just coz umuntu omnyama, not many blacks get nominated or black movies are not that good?? What qualifies an oscar nomination? Will Tyler Perry ever get a nomination? Or are his movies not oscar material??

**Sigh** this is Avatar’s event through and through.
here are my layman predictions on other non-Avatar segments:
Actor in leading: Collin Firth/Morgan Freeman
Actor in supporting role: Matt Damon/Stanely Tucci
Actress in leading role: Gabourey Sidibe/Sandra Bullock
Actress in supporting role: Monique/Anna Kendrick
Animated feature: Up (although I would like princess and the frog to win!)
Costume Design: The young Vic. or Coco before Chanel
Make up: The young Vic.
Music “original song” : Down in new orleans(princess and the frog)
I’m clueless on the rest of the segments

Precious is one over rated movie. Itried watching it more than 4times but still could not finish it.When I finally did,I never felt anything like the way Tyler and Oprah talked about it.
As for Sedibe,I dnt think she deserved a nomination. Mo’nique was way better than her. She made Sedibe look like a supporting actor.
If Oprha did not put her name behind this movie,I doubt it would have got any nominations.
I am shocked “my sisters keeper” and “Brothers” were not nominaited. Toby deserved a nomination after such a perfomance.Sofia Vassilieva who plays kate on my sisters keeper deserved a nomination.
Globes are really starting to get to me. They nominate movies made by big studios every year. They are more like SAMA’s.
Goodluck to Morgan.Even though the movie was not great,I think he played Mandela part very well.
