I said it on my blog (http://ulwazimgwadleka.blogspot.com) and I am saying it here (AGAIN);... it has always been good to sort out your own stuff at home before you leave to help outside your household.

Yes, it's a good deed. But, we all know, SA has always needed help. But, AKUKHO BANTU BANCEDAYO.

It takes many months for the government to provide blankets, BREAD and clothes to people who have been hit by heavy rains and CT weather.

However, the Haiti-meko gets first-aid at all cost. Schools need stationaries, proper buildings and infrastrustures. How about the SABC provide help to such situations instead of shaking peoples hands with millions of rands.

Anyways, wasn't SABC broke a few days back?

Tjo asazi ne, maybe there is something fashionable about high profile disasters kinda like wearing the red ribbon on the first of December and a pink one in October-but hey help is help I guess and its all good that resources are being channeled to Haiti from all angles of the world-hopefully in the future SABC and local Mzansi's will take heed and be more proactive with disasters closer to home.

To be fair though there is a fair number of on going charities and voluntary programs that directly aid various South African causes (lets not forget the silent heroes and heroines out there who are sponsoring kids and running community projects etc),so in a way I think it is a nice gesture for Africa to give what they can to another part of the world for a change.

Finally someone who shares my sentiments. For a minute there I thought I was the only one who had relised that mary j had reached and exceeded her sell by date. I think its high time janet jackson an jlo joined her in an indefinate retirement in front of the Mike.

As for the SABC telethon, eish asazi. Charity begins at home and all but two wrongs don't make a right. Yes they should've done the same for all disasters which happened here at home, but I hope that we aren't mean spirited enough to gladly turn the other cheek while Haitians suffer. This should used as a point of reference the next time another disaster occurs. As nonchalant as I can be, I choose to take the moral high ground on this one.

To be quite honest i also have reservations...aka..no..i did not. It was okay for the SA rescue people to go there to contribute manpower, but what is happening is really one of those laughing with the outsiders when at home there is no laughter at all.
Even the bible says..before you approach judea, samaria and all other places..start in jerusalem..ekhaya..

Hey love, Damien has quite a few songs. As for the performance with Nas, it was their first appearance prior to their collabo. album 'Distant Relatives' due for release this April.
