Eskom Gona Kill Me Die!

I can’t cope… 25% increase in electricity prices bathong?

The National Energy Regulator announced that they’ve approved electricity tariff increases of 24.8% this year,  25.8% next year and 25.9% in 2012….

Well, I’m officially going shopping… Like seriously going shopping….

…..for iPraima stovu…

primer stove

Apparently these massive & shocking increases will put 250 000 people out of work. (amazing that soon after the increase announcement the `’they” already know the exact number of jobs that will be lost, when/how did they count?)

Yeah no, 25% is too much but I guess it’s much better than the 35% increase Eskom had proposed, so we should be thankful, right?  Hayi, someone needs to do something though, this is scary.

Our salaries only go up nga bo ma 7 – 15% per annum, how are we to cope with all these increases? Petrol, electricity, food? Every time I go to do my grocery shopping, the prices have gone up. No wonder people get married, it’s hard being alone.

This seems very insensitive by Eskom/regulator, why not a higher increase first – 25.9% kuqala thn lower increase as the price gets higher! Wasibulala uThabo Mbeki, almost 2 terms in office & thr was economic growth they dn’t think of investing in power stations, now just after a recession we have to dig deeper into almost empty pockets.

I always knew they dont need 35% but they used a high percentage so that we’ll feel better about whatever amount NERSA gives them, even though its still very high. nxaaaaa

I swear, SA is just a scary place. I believe on the saying now; the rich gets richer while the poor remain poor.

I mean, this doesn’t really affect the ‘elite’, as much, as affects ordinary citizens.

Just after a ridiculous period of financial difficulty, we wake up to this bull… EISH, Ass-kom!

  11. Mabheka on Thu, 25th Feb 2010 8:17 am

@Ugogal parafin is not a regulated product therefore @ 1 service station it could cost R3.80 a litre or R 6.50 right next door therefore find cheapest seller as its demand its bound to increase. @ ESkom masimba nje anga
