The Derby’s Castle Super Fan Experience!

The overrated Soweto Derby ended in a draw as always but I’d be lying if I said I was bored at the stadium.

Castle Lager invited a couple of celebrities to go to the Derby and experience “A Day In The Life of a Super Fan” and the idea was for the celebs to go sit with superfans Mzion and Ntshebe at the “extra strongs” so they could experience what it’s like to sing/dance throughout the game, as those guys do but that didn’t happen but I don’t think the invited celebs were bothered by that fact. It was hott shem. I am not a celeb but I went there anyway so I can come and tell you guys all about it… heheh.

Anyway, we all left our cars at SouthGate and rode in a Superfan bus to Orlando Stadium. We first went to Bara Mall to go pick up Mzion and his crew…

Mzion came to our bus to give us a little talk telling us how Pirates was gonna give us a trashing… hehehe.

I wonder what he thought after the game!

Ooh, what a gentleman this hott man is! Stoan Seate, who manages to always look like he just stepped out of cinderella’s dreams was there.

Speedy was also there, arriving in a sponsored car. Can’t remember what that car is, all I could see was the “Car of the Year Finalist” splashed all over it. He’s a cool guy, enjoyed chatting to him, until I pissed him off a bit…. more on that later. hehe.

SABC Sports Presenter, Lebo Motsoeli was there showing off her Bhakaniya jersey! With her boo, Kagiso. They’re too cute together!

TT Mbha was there with his fiancee Roquelle, yeah, that’s an engagement ring. Heard he proposed to her on Television (soweto tv), sweet.

Speedy was quite a hit with the fans, yho! I don’t know how many times he stopped to pose for pictures. Love that he didn’t make a fuss over it.

Oooh, one of my favourite moments at the stadium is when the teams come out to warm up just before the game. Loved the sleeveless T-Shirts the pirates boys came out wearing!

but it was good being at the stadium, something about the atmosphere in that place.

My future husband (if I’m silly enuff to ever do it) needs to know that I don’t want a house with a built in cinema or anything, I just want a house with a stadium! Nothing more!

As we left the stadium, disappointment over the no-goals was evident on the body language of the many superfans who had come all dressed up for the event. heeheh

LOL I have to share this coz I kill myself laughing sometimes….

After taking the above pic, I ask Mark to take a pic of me and Robert… so because I’m wearing shades, Robert puts on his shades too …

Me: Why you’re putting them on?

Him: Coz you also have yours on…

Me: No, no, no, okay, I’ll take mine off then. Those are for putting on when you go to court.

Him: You’ think you’re funny neh (or something like that)

LOL I couldn’t help it …when I saw those shades I just thought of THIS picture.

LOL he’s a good boy so he took the shades off & I got my picture.

On our way out of the stadium, we got stuck in the traffic so David suggested we walk and catch up with the bus later…

Speedy was a little irritated with me when when I asked him to put his towel to good use and carry me on his back with it… LOL. I mean, it just sits there on his shoulder so why not. heheh. Hey Speedy

It was a dissappointing game by Chiefs & Pirates, well, the little that I saw of it ,but thanks to Castle Lager for hosting us, we had a great time. Umm, also, Castle, I look forward to doing this again during the World Cup neh? *wink*
