Tjo! Mara Floyd Bathong!

February 23, 2010 by Brown Shuga

foydWow, what is up with our “leaders” heh?

News24 reports that when they called Floyd Shivambu, the ANCYL spokesperson, to find out why Julius Malema was still listed as a company director of SGL Engineering Projects, even though he had told a press briefing that he resigned…. Well, Floyd told them to voetsek… actually, this is what the article says….

“He (Malema) gave the orders to the lawyers, whether the database was updated is not our problem.”

He said he took exception to the fact that a journalist who did not attend the morning briefing contacted him about the issue.

“You are out of order. Fuck you,” Shivambu said before putting down the phone.

Tjo, Ja no, clearly this year is gonna be an interesting one.

Looking forward to seeing Hellen Zille, Mangosuthu, Terror Lekota, Theunis Crous, Mvume Dandala, Van Schalkwyk and all the other mlungus’ lifestyle audits.

TJO!

Why do people get all emotional n violent on Journalists when all they r doing is their job? or is it because those people dnt knw how 2 do theirs? Just Curious!

  2. ugogal on Tue, 23rd Feb 2010 5:27 am

Tjo! Is Floyd also a primary school dropout? Haai his behaviour… JC

  3. BathoBatho on Tue, 23rd Feb 2010 8:00 am

What do u expect from a guy who wildly accused Zille of sleeping around with concubines in her office. SMH, the poor guy needs training on how to handle media.

The sad thing is that he probably doesn’t see anything wrong with his behaviour. His tounge has been sleeping around, that’s why what comes out of his mouth is dirty.

  4. Vesa on Tue, 23rd Feb 2010 8:42 am

They are feeling the pressure and are unable to handle it.

    It’s gonna be interesting indeed

  5. Mabheka on Tue, 23rd Feb 2010 8:45 am

@Lela thats because journos tend to be stupid sometimes really eg. that indian gal on E news channel last nite who reported about the Juju’s press confress said “let us rather focus on the real issues such as Y would the ANC defend Malema in public” I mean come on was she expecting the IFP to do so.

  6. sponono on Tue, 23rd Feb 2010 8:58 am

for some reason in political arties all the lamthuthus are the ones who get airtime and are always on the frontline, even with the IFP..all the so called spokesperson are mamparas..and teh guys who are intelligent and have great leadership and public speaking /people skills are always silenced behind…what happened to Kgalema and the rest of really good anc guys

  7. pinana on Tue, 23rd Feb 2010 8:58 am

I totally look forward to seeing aboHelen Zille’s audits, too….
I totally agree with Julius Malema on this quote on the right. If this issue was handled well, I’d understand.. but black people are made out to look like we cant do anything for ourselves without breaking some rules…

This tenderpreneur this is just a normal procedure its just that umntomnyama sometimes does a bit too much… we cant just taste sugar and be satisfied that its sweet.. we always have to go for more.. and more… and more… and end up drawing attention.

Which we can still blame a white man for, coz if they were treating us properly we wouldnt always be unconsciously trying to reach their standard and doing our worst best, stealing sugar just so they’d see taht we also able.

My only concern is that these tenders after they give them to themselves, who then does the work on the ground… do they still just subcontract the more established white companies, who still use the black contract workers who do the actual building of the roads… or are they used to empower other black people, to build a self-sustainable society??

aboHelen Zille should start focussing on doing stuff for their parties, raising awareness for their own parties without capitalising on every crisis that the ruling party seems to have.

  8. Mogwanthi on Tue, 23rd Feb 2010 9:49 am

LOL True Pinana about tasting sugar and wanting more..I mean did he really have to buy a range rover after another one?? off course people will start questioning his ‘fortunes’..We all know politicians dont really get paid THAT well!

  9. NQOBILENNN on Tue, 23rd Feb 2010 10:06 am

What i dont understand is why Helen Zille is dragged in2 dis when it was Vavi and Gordhan or is it Gordham, fellow alliance partners mind u, who called 4 da probe in2 Malemas finances and wealth. Dis time its not about da white man wantin 2 prove dat we arent capable of doin anything on our own, dis is a simple matter of ppl within da alliance jostling 4 positions, airing each adaz dirty laundry so they can look good in da eyes of da public b4 2012.

  10. Smiley on Tue, 23rd Feb 2010 10:08 am

Guys, i think Julius Malema’s tactic of pulling the race card everytime is fast getting tired. He should just explain why he is a board member in those companies- finish and klaar. In fact, this shouldn’t even be a big deal. Why are people acting like the idea od the audits was a white persons idea while it was actually black people who proposed it. See, I am cool with Julius Malema but I don’t appreciate him trying to take black people for a ride by making us focus on race and not the issue at hand. Having said that, I must say that black folk, keep chasing that paper and chase it legally!

  11. NQOBILENNN on Tue, 23rd Feb 2010 10:10 am

Kodwa Floyd nkosyam, is he tryin 2 b da next Malema, always in da news 4 da wrong reasons? JC!

  12. Makgotso on Tue, 23rd Feb 2010 10:18 am

Hau Smiley l read Malema’s speech on another post,l didnt see him pulling the race card maybe my eyes need a check up if he did.

  13. fabulicious on Tue, 23rd Feb 2010 10:30 am

    tjo Floyd wamakatsa!

  14. Dr_MashobaDieta on Tue, 23rd Feb 2010 10:31 am

Smiley u are out of order if i may say…. How can a person explain how he got employed??? its simple u apply for a post, go to the interview then vaula!!! u got the job. or if the company want you they make you an offer then thats it.

and please Malema did not scriutinize any race whatsoever in this particular matter. and you contradicting yourself…. what if Malema chased the paper legally?

back to the topic at hand I think Floyd was tired of answering the same question everytime from different journalists, and he is not Malema’s spokesperson …He is the ANCYL spokesperson so he doesn’t have to answer questions about Malema’s personal life

  15. Scalo on Tue, 23rd Feb 2010 10:51 am

Ja floyd tel thm to back off this journalist ar boring nw days floyd is nt jujus spokesperson tjo batho!

  16. Mabheka on Tue, 23rd Feb 2010 11:09 am

@ Dr Malema is the face of the ANCYL therefore questions concerning him will always raised/ posed to people like Floyd if Julius is not present & tiredness has nothing to do with a senior position holding individual telling journo’s to fcuk off as that could be aligned with bringin the organisation into disripute & also contradicts previous rally statements of how the youth should respect fellow citizens & for someone in who is in the executive he ought to have known better & should have behaved like a thorough professional but inclosing this generation of journos are realy pathetic, weak & lack probing & empathy skills

  17. BuhleFab on Tue, 23rd Feb 2010 11:24 am

    mmhh!! sad very sad

  18. kittykat on Tue, 23rd Feb 2010 11:25 am

Botlaela ba gae bo fetelletse!!!’He was the Wits SRC president some years back but was academically excluded (suprise suprise!!!) Mara at least o phala Juju ka gore o thotse exemption! lol

  19. Gee on Tue, 23rd Feb 2010 11:52 am

I want to hear what people have to say to the statement Malema made during the conference when he said Journalists sleep with politicians to gain inside information.

Is he implying that the information the journalists have, is to close to the truth, that he has to shift blame from good/proper investigation to tactless accusations?

  20. Luja on Tue, 23rd Feb 2010 11:54 am

Its amazing how we are all so swept up in this media frenzy about Julius’ personal belongings.
I wish you guys can try and walk a mile in Floyd and Julius’s shoes, they have been bombarded by calls asking the same thing all over again. The poor guy was on the radio first thing in the morning answering useless questions and the funny thing is that no one has has proved ukuthi uJulius has breached any law whatsoever.

I know that none of u guys can tolerate being bombarded with the same pitiful questions. Nam ndingabathuka shame!!!

  21. Mogwanthi on Tue, 23rd Feb 2010 12:00 pm

    Floyd, Flyod, Flyod!!!

Why do people still call this guy for comments?? huh? after “we mean what we say and we say what we mean” stunts last year??

  22. mama ka Gundi on Tue, 23rd Feb 2010 12:04 pm

Ditto Luju!!! Bathuke wena Floyd kude le!!

  23. blu on Tue, 23rd Feb 2010 12:28 pm

Juju mara le ena……….i heard him on the news last night are “i have never seen a million in my life”
    >
    >
    and i thought to myself……what a wonderful world!!!!1

  24. Nogs on Tue, 23rd Feb 2010 1:46 pm

I will do the same…i don’t see anything wrong with floyd insulting them…some of them are so weak shame, e.g the E.TV journalists who interviewed Julius during the state of the nation adress…she was so embarrassed after julius told him to go back to her journalist books…she immediately ended the interview…so its just obvious that some of them don’t do their job properly.no wonder they get undermined.

  25. GA on Tue, 23rd Feb 2010 1:47 pm

Im not a Juju fan…at all. But epsecially based on the quote on the right, i do think all this is ridculous.
As for Floyd..hai…i dont wanna get into that…

  26. ugogal on Tue, 23rd Feb 2010 1:53 pm

@blu… he meant literally. he only sees it on his bank statement! LWKMD…

  27. bonangmubishame on Tue, 23rd Feb 2010 2:40 pm

As a journalist, I understand why these people get frustrated with us… the thing is we all want a different comment from them that would make your story stronger than your competitor and that’s the only way to survive in the news gathering game.

  28. Mabheka on Tue, 23rd Feb 2010 2:56 pm

@ bonangmubishame, then that means u(journos) got to get to the source 1st & if ur not 1st then sit down brainstorm & come up with a different angle but seeking an answer with diferent words but the same connatation & if u cant well then do some searching find something new to story. What hapenend to your 5W’s&H or SOLAADS etc. Or like our senior citizens would say if you aint got something nice to say then dont say nothing.

  29. Silvio on Tue, 23rd Feb 2010 3:03 pm
