South africans are realy working hard to give good music, this must be a tough decision for the judges…I wish everyone good luck, even those who won’t get the award don’t stop doing what u do best
soul sista on Thu, 4th Mar 2010 11:08 pm
Thank Ghaad Dr Ribs is no where to be found.

Brian Themba is my fav too.
Nonkawu on Thu, 4th Mar 2010 11:19 pm
This is bull sh*t,i am boycotting the SAMAs ths year. Why wasnt Shugasmakx nominated for that track Imisebenzi Yakho feat Brickz? Skwatta also no nomination for Summer Song kwi song of the year category? Why is RJ Benjamin nominated AGAIN for the same song,in the same category as last year? I am so disappointed. L-tido,also nt nominated for DO U LIKE IT WHEN IT RAINS? I Hope Thandiswa walks away with most coz ngkhathele u Lira, she is followin in Sis Ribz footsteps (too much of anything/anyone can make me sick).I am glad Ribs aint nominated ths year.. Thandiswa and Black Coffee,my money is on the both of u..Goodluck,hope these sama people dont ask for some kind of payolla.
Nonkawu on Thu, 4th Mar 2010 11:25 pm
Ntando Bangani,i hope u also win @ least eyodwa.U are very talented,u are the ONLY male afro pop artist whose music i buy without even thinkin twice.

Cheesa on Thu, 4th Mar 2010 11:50 pm
Oh Nonkawu I’m with you on the Ntando issue. I sooo want him to take both awards that man is good at what he does. I am sooo mad PRO is no where to be found on the nomination list like WTF. They have been robbing him too much I thought they were finally going to recognise him this year other than that I am fine with the list. I am glad there is no Ribs and Lira. She should also rest this year. Why is Change the World there like really now. Thank you there is no Chomee and Kelly Khumalo. I’m glad Big Nuzz has more than one nominations and they must please win this year. I wish Black Coffee wins too and Jozi. I think I’m cool with the list shem.

Nonkawu on Fri, 5th Mar 2010 5:51 am
What pisses me off about Mdu’s death is knowing that stupid programme called LIVE could dedicate the entire show to him, pretending as if they care with their straight faces and knees whilst they stopped talking about him let alone playing his music donkeys years ago. ..Tonite they will be all sad and dressed in black…Hayi nxa. Thats why i loove Gareth Cliff coz yena he does not pretend shem.. Well back to the samas, why is PRO n NHLANHLA not on the list? Vulan usekele oooh okaay. Ndiyahamba mna ndibhek eZimbabwe, ndibhek eMalawi, ndibhek eMozambique, ndibhek eNigeria, ndibheke Conco… I repeat: This year i am boycotting the damn awards,I AM NOT GOING TO SUNCITY and I WONT WATCH THEM ON TV..*let me plan a trip to where there is no sabc or no tv @ all*

soul sista on Fri, 5th Mar 2010 8:46 am
Guys who made it official that MDU is dead?
I was listening to Kaya fm and the rumour is NOT TRUE.
Arthur Mafokate said he talked with Mdu and he’s ok. The only thing that is dead is his career.

soul sista on Fri, 5th Mar 2010 9:10 am
LOL @ Nonkawu…I just thought of you and the Bonang picture that is to be taken while she’s in class.
sponono on Fri, 5th Mar 2010 9:12 am
As much as I’d like Lira to win, I dont understand how does a LIVE recording of songs from OLD albums, get nominated for the artist for this particular year, maybe they should have said best live recording…(at least she got nominated for global dvd.whateva that means)
Secondly…I’ve not heared a SINGLE song by Busi Mhlongo from her latest cd.except the House mixed tracks from other djs…so how does she get nominated,as BEST Female solo. is it somekind of a sympathy omination…SMH…(love her though)
LOL @ Joe Nina is now doing Alternative Music….
NKD, Axene….who are these people
Nonkawu on Fri, 5th Mar 2010 9:21 am
soul sista, since no one is willing to help me,i will personally go and take the pic myself….its part of my resolutions…lol
Kazisongo on Fri, 5th Mar 2010 9:24 am

iconi…I also have the same question, surely there musta been something… but then I wonder what gave Bonang the rite or duty to report or is she some kind of spokesperson for yester-years musicians or did somebody ask her to tweet abut Mdu mmmhh and she even said we’ll have more tommorow…nx what a Twat!!!
sponono on Fri, 5th Mar 2010 9:47 am
Nonkawu..now what are you suggesting about the Live virus and mdu…

Miss H on Fri, 5th Mar 2010 9:52 am

Best Hip Hop/Rap : Teargas. All the rest Big Nuz.
Nonkawu on Fri, 5th Mar 2010 10:07 am

P.S Nonkawu, where were you yesterday? Wena no BS?
Mabheka on Fri, 5th Mar 2010 10:32 am
IF the past 15yrs are anything to go by then talents such as Black Coffee & Bongani are not gonna win anything but rather RJ(repeat nominee), Lira(vat alles) & Tumi (wtf seriously). Thus i am boycotting the damn awards
NiccY on Fri, 5th Mar 2010 10:33 am
Guys i just got an email that Mdu Masilela has passed on – is it true?

kellerman’s cd lacks originality. he’s taking music from other artists and plagiarising –poor work. lacks integrity.
kwaito rock on 4eva.

Do the people that don’t like songs without any “message” not listen to instrumental music ? e.g Summer Days by Nick Holder, Maputo by Bob James & David Sanborn, Seventh Avenue by Jonathan Butler, songs by George Benson, Zim Nqawana, Sipho Gumede, Jimmy Dludlu etc ? I find that very strange but after all we have different tastes. If I want a message I’d rather read the bible or some book.

Though I’m not a fan of house music, I’d like Black Coffee to win the dance award. I think he deserves it for the hard work he’s putting in, plus I like the collabos on the cd.
