Generations TrendSetter…
March 24, 2010 by Brown Shuga
So the “Sbusiso finds out Senzo is gay” storyline was so interesting that the whole country watched yesterday’s episode, tweeted about it and made it one of the Top 10 trending topics WORLDWIDE. Big ups to Generations! Clearly you guys are doing something right …
Damn, I even found myself doing a countdown way before the show started!
LOL… yeah, countdown to Generations?? Ya neh!
A big shout out to Menzi Ngubane on the awesome acting! Absolutely believable man….
Except, of course, for the part where he conveniently just had a sjambok lying around…
and.. eish, I refuse to blog about Generations again. Just wanted to send them props!
Well done… :-)

Haa Sbuda wa mpolaya sambok! That was really hectic kwakwakwa – he reminded me of MaAgnes.
Nonkawu on Wed, 24th Mar 2010 6:17 am
That was the best acting of Sbuda that i have seen by far.Actually the entire cast on that scene made it so believable.I was sooo lookin foward to last nite episode.I even told a very of mine that was coming to visit me to arrive 15min b4 or after Generations bcoz i didnt want any disturbances.Well,he was on tym and I MADE him watch it. Well done Sbuda,Senzo,Jason nawe MaKhumalo. I am waiting to hear wat babomkhulu Jabulane is going to say when he gets ths and Kenneth is goin to TROW (in ngamla’s voice) TROW it in his face always.
Dladla on Wed, 24th Mar 2010 7:01 am
Good morning y’all… Mna, ndiphuma noMakhumalo and the way she screamed ngayo. I think that was brilliant. My mother even called me saying, Andiyithandi into eyenziwa nguSbusiso kuNtombi…
Well, I couldn’t really explain to her as to what was happening. I didn’t want to be the one doing that. Who knows, she might have mms(ed) a slap all the way from the EC.
Anyway, I don’t think the whole scene was all that. So, sorry folks, I don’t really agree on this one.

bonangmubishame on Wed, 24th Mar 2010 9:34 am
Lord have mercy. I was sick yesterday and I set an alarm to be woken up before Generations and I nearly missed it!
The sjambok bathong… I was standing up, wincing and feeling the pain. Bamuvova uJason!!! Beat him black and blue…
But the acting was soooo real, that I felt sorry for Senzo and that fine Jason guy… it went from what a waste to Sbuda is a homophobic bastard!
Shame Mfundi redeemed himself in this scene… It was reall acting and super fun to watch. Pity I was too sick to even tweet about it…
So now is Jason gonna be fired??? I hope not because that will mean that we are going to the society route and I dnt want to watch anothet Beth…
Cleve2 on Wed, 24th Mar 2010 10:00 am
TJO TJO TJO TJO!!!!!!!! I even rewinded my PVR. I could not beleive what I saw. They acted that scene so well. All of them. Ja ne we have to give credit where credit is due. Generations niya rocka shem. I relate to Dineo and Paul, Karabo and of course Khethiwe.
Luluwise on Wed, 24th Mar 2010 10:06 am
I also enjoyed last nite’s episode. I actually had an emotional reaction (nothing hectic just impressed by the great acting and Senzo’s reaction to his father’s rejection). This happens only when I’m watching Home Affairs and Khumbulekhaya. Hoepfully they are taking note of what the public wants to see….hardcore mixed with frivolous…..
Lahvee on Wed, 24th Mar 2010 10:40 am
I even sacrificed the second half of UGLY BETTY yesterday! heheh! Yah nooh, I guess they are slowly going to hit the 5million viewers mark soon!
ntshepeng on Wed, 24th Mar 2010 11:14 am

yesterday’s acting was great! maKhumalo, Sbusiso, Senzo and Jason part was brilliant acting…
Well done to everyone who was involved
Bee on Wed, 24th Mar 2010 12:51 pm
Thanx Miss BS. Well Generations was dope sheim but they must keep those kind of scenes coming then they will hit that 5mill viership. Funny how Sibusiso fought for ‘only indodana yakhe Senzo’ bt now he disowns him. Well Zondo family is coming bk to get their son bona they probably won’t be as shocked especially the mother. Mothers always know.
boitha on Wed, 24th Mar 2010 12:52 pm

bonangmubishame on Wed, 24th Mar 2010 1:13 pm
went to the generations blog this morning… I have never seen anything so BORING and ghastadly bleak!!! ALL of them bloggers are politically correct and all they say about last night’s episode is “sbuda was right…” 5 people in a row! *kill me now* I think we need to revolutionise that blog and give it power coz its unbelievably DEAD!!!
xaluva on Wed, 24th Mar 2010 1:15 pm

poshspice on Wed, 24th Mar 2010 2:38 pm
Bee ‘Mothers always know.’
I think you’re right, mothers spend too much time with children to know if something in not right…it would be interesting to find out if mothers really know deep down if their kid in not straight..but I suppose it hurts so much that they don’t want to accept!!
Lela on Wed, 24th Mar 2010 2:40 pm
The whole scene nje was too good and very convincing. I also wondered about the sjambok, but then I thought indoda yomzulu may have imvubu noba ihlala etown.

Out of topic, plz tell what was happening wth 3rd degree, is there a repeat?? cant help bt be curious as a parent..
Leeds on Thu, 25th Mar 2010 2:50 pm
I must say that I was really shocked at Sibusiso beating up Senzo and Jason, just goes to show how our parents react when you tell them that your gay. But I think he was just being ridiculous with his whole beating the crab out of them and Now I know when it is the right time to tell my folks that I myself fall under that category.
And to think that they would be the ones to understand that. Clearly reality needs to educate them a little longer.
