Jozi Insider Speaks JubJub
March 10, 2010 by Brown Shuga
As though the chubby Jub-Jub hadn’t suffered enough, what with his mom jail saga continuing in spurts. Now he had to go and act out his repressed emotions like a teenaged boy.
Prior to his Monday night drug and alcohol-induced fatalities, chubby Jubz and alleged girlfriend Kelly Khumalo were reported to have been kicked out their home in Bassonia, south of Johannesburg, after they allegedly burnt it down with impepho. In fact, those close to the source revealed that the home was Jubz and Kelly moved in with him shortly after being kicked out of her Fourways home.
I thought Thandiswa Mazwai was the only one on this impepho situation. Apparently she also lights it up in her car. Those who were in Cape Town at the concert last year confirm that Thandiswa likes to burn incense and impepho.
Going back to Jub-Jub, Kelly’s manager Linda Moeketsi was not available for comment on either Kelly or Jubz’s story. He posted a twitter update that he’s done with calls and he’s not Jub-Jub’s manager. Fair enough! But we just want to know how Kelly feels about this issue.
And now, just like a teenaged brat with suppressed emotions and with no father or mother figure, Jub-Jub went out on a drug and alcohol spree, which resulted in the deaths of innocent children.
JI feels that Jub-Jub and friend should be locked away for many years. His actions and rage should have actually been redirected at his parents, where it belongs. NOT these young innocent who are now robbed of their lives at such a tender age.
If you feel that I’m being harsh, take a look at these pictures. See the sorrow and anguish on these people’s faces. Feel the heartache of the mother who’s expecting her child to come home from school and eat the afternoon snack she’d prepared for him.
I say put them away for good!!!!
More updates:
The charges have been changed from Culpable Homicide to Murder. Jub Jub and Themba Tshabala both tested positive for cocaine. Story HERE.

they should LOCK them away and THROW AWAY the key…i mean couldn’t they go to kyalami since they on that “swagger tip” i’m sure they could afford to go to a PROPER race course i’m deeply saddend by this and HOPE and PRAY justice is served such foolishness and stupid acts should be dealt with…he BETTER not get off for his sake coz i doubt he’ll make alive outside…you not being harsh and this WASN’T a mistake ESPECIALLY coz DRUGS were part of the reason why this whole thing happened in the first place, and you cant take drugs by mistake…i’m sorry i sincerely HOPE he NEVER leaves jail…poor families that have been robbed of their children.
Dladla on Wed, 10th Mar 2010 8:20 am
I pray to God for Justice to be done. Dr Khumalo walked free and so did Mandoza. This time around, I pray to God to let justice be done.
If the police fail to grant these folks the punishment they deserve, God, let your will be done.
People, a mother is not suppose to burry her child. That is totally unacceptable.
NOW, on the impepho note: What seems to be wrong with impepho? Mhh? What seems to be so “oooh, aaah” about it?
Sure, Thandiswa uses it. Is she wrong? No, people let us stop judging other people’s ways of living.
I don’t know what Jozi Insider does as far as shim’s beliefs are concernd, so don’t critisize or judge abanye abantu.
I don’t use impepho, but I have stayed wiht people who did. Besides, in our society we have amagqirha/traditional healers, they use it and they are perfectly normal, in my opinion.

I pray to God for Justice to be done. Dr Khumalo walked free and so did Mandoza. This time around, I pray to God to let justice be done.>>> I agree with u totally Dladla, it’s abt time that these so-called-celebs realize that no one is above the law. He needs to be severly punished, him and his friend should get a life sentence so that he can be umrapper in jail, perhaps then when he sings gospel songs he will be HONESTLY born again.
As for Kelly Khumalo, I think nawe uyajeziswa for claiming to be a virgin when u actually weren’t.

This is all Mama Jacky’s actions.I blame her for all this mess. Its sad that as children if our parents mess up other people’s lives and get away with it then we have to take the fall. Its SO WRONG!!
LindZ on Wed, 10th Mar 2010 8:56 am
This is really sad i just recieved pics of the dead boys at the scene of the crash and it really hit me how horrible this was. They all looked so innocent i couldnt help but cry.
July on Wed, 10th Mar 2010 9:00 am
I am a bit confused, why have the authorities changed the charge from culpable homocide to murder? I thought murder was intentional killing whereas homicide is based on some degree of negligence and if my TV viewing serves me correctly the state is required to prove all the elements of a crime beyond doubt. I dont know all that much about all this legal stuff but the change of the charges isnt making sense to me.
Nonny on Wed, 10th Mar 2010 9:02 am
This is all Mama Jacky’s actions.I blame her for all this mess.>>> This is Jub-Jubs own fault coz at the end of the day it was him on the drivers seat, not mama jacky.
Fruity on Wed, 10th Mar 2010 9:02 am
In a way I pity him, having to live with the fact that you are the reason behind that gruesome incident, Everyday when he looks himself at the mirror he is going to see a killer, when he walks down the streets we are going to see a murderer, when the child is born and he kisses it goodnight he would know that he robbed some parents of an opportunity to do the same,When he gets into a car to drive, that is if he will still be allowed to drive, he will ALWAYS be haunted by the images in this article, by the lifeless images of the boys he had robbed of their lives, how will he be able to live with himself. In my opinion, jail will be nothing compared to having to live with his conscious, but that is if he has one…
I am not a parent but I cant even begin to imagine what the parents are going through,I have experinced loss before and all I can say is that it is going to hurt, so bad taht they would feel like they cant go on anymore, but God heals. In time they will be able to live with their loss I just hope that God will give them enough strength to let go of all the pain, hurt and resentment and that He gives them peace that surpasess all human understanding, Finally I pray that maybe, just maybe someday they would find it in their hearts to release everything and forgives, not for Jub Jub’s sake, but for their own

I just saw the pix of the dead bodies and I can’t imagine the pain the families of these boys are going thru, having to identify your child’s body in that state. These boys must have really suffered. My heart really goes out to their friends and families. I also feel for Jub-jub…can you imagine sobering up to the news that you’ve killed innocent lives and your “moment of fun” (or whatever pleasure they got out of racing) has turned not only your life upside down but has denied 5 souls a chance at fulfilling their dreams. They were so young and had the rest of their lives ahead of them…they have to take full responsibility of their actions and it’s high time they proved to us that there is justice in this country. I know it won’t bring back the lives recklessly taken, but these offenders must be punished!
My heart also goes out to Kelly, who’s being dragged into this purely because of her association with Jub. What is she supposed to say when people are wishing her innocent unborn child dead, just because of the father’s sins?? This is a conundrum of sorts and i wish all concerned the strength and peace to do what needs to be done…

Brown Shuga on Wed, 10th Mar 2010 10:51 am
I agree with you Sponono, we can’t pretend like it didn’t happen and stop talking about it. We need to learn out of this all. We can’t physically be there to support the parents but we have this space to voice how we feel about this and that we are praying for God to give them strength.
ntshepeng on Wed, 10th Mar 2010 10:55 am
Hayi kabi magents….we spoke about this the whole day izolo….and not just here…everywhere on the net people talked about jub jub. If the intention is to “bring attention to the issue of drinking and driving and drugs as well as illgeal drag racing ” then shouldn’t we discuss THAT and not JUB JUB?

I understand people’s frustrations and anger towards Jub Jub and Themba Tshabalala but the media is having a field day using Jub Jub’s name in every headline so they can attract readers.
Please know that I am in no way excusing what he did it’s just that I am wondering Why are they making him take all the heat of this mess when there is another culprit who was just as irresponsible as him who hardly even gets a mention?
Nobody cares about this Themba dude and he will probably be able to face the public should they be granted bail (which is unlikely by the look of things) where as Jub Jub will need to go into hiding to avoid the wrath of the community.
Now the community is saying things like we buy these people’s CD’s so they can afford these fast cars in order for them to kill our kids. That’s not fair on the other celebs who have nothing to do with this tragedy.
The other day here in Pietermaritzburg a man had a similar accident that killed about 3 kids who were also walking on the pavement but I did not hear of any protest that was made outside the court for him to not be granted bail.
I trully feel for the families to think they had hopes and dreams for their kids, let’s just continue to pray for these families in their greatest time of need.

@hlobi.. the so called celebrities work hard to be popular, to get the media attention,so that we can notice them, they hire publicists to ensure they get maximum publicity, so when something like this happen to them, unfortunately there is no turning back and there is no way it can be ignored

Jozi Insider on Wed, 10th Mar 2010 4:25 pm
I can’t remember who asked the question now, but there’s hefty difference between calpable homicide and murder. Murder is more serious because it is a crime considered done with malice and culpable homicide is when you’re deservedly blamed for the cause of death of someone AND then there is manslaughter, which is homicide without malice aforethought.
Also, we’re focusing on Jubz because he’s more topical right now and his case is still ongoing. And the fact that he’s just facing murder charges means that a 20-year jail sentence looms. So, we will still be talking about Jubz until his sentencing.

Whilest i dont agree with the chain-emailing of the gruesome photos but once you recieve them you be tempted to open them so I Did and BOY did it put a damper on my day..SADDEST thing I’ve seen in a long time, and its not even blood and gore..its just their innocense and helplessness as they lay tehre in various potions and different parts of the bush.like some extras in a horror movie only you wish it was but .the end of such a young life and those uniforms the whole thing just made me think a lot about death

@July-it was changed from culpable homiside to murder because of the fact that they had taken drugs and alcohol. That action as well as that of deciding the illegally race are seen as intensional actions and their minds are perceived to have been clear when they decided to drink, snot and race. That’s is why it is now murder and not culpable homiside.

my take is this , has any one wondered wether the boys themselves could have been watching and cheering on ? I mean thats how Kasi kids are especialy boys when they see cars speed off , or spining they get all excited and cheer on , I dont condone the illligal racing and I understand Mr Marshmellow and his friend were wrong on dicing in a public road , but I still say probably the boys that they crashed into could have been spectating the Race gone wrong , food for thought

I think death sentence should be back n jubjub should be the first one to expirience it ,those were kids n they havent enjoyed life the way that he has enjoyed his,its realy not fair,n what he did was evil so much 4 always singing abt God hasnt he heard the saying that says practise what you preach, what he did was irresponsible n stupid,oh well you know what thwy say like mother like son i hope he rots in jail.

wow this is a sad story,i wonder what kind of person will jub jub turn to be after all this, and i pray so much that jub jub and friend should be responsible of the actions and not to get in to bribes to get out of this easy because realy this time jub jub u messed up and you must pay for our own action.

It is sad, I can’t imagine what all famillies of the involed both gone & alive are feeling now, May the souls of the four young victims RIP, this to shall came to pass with time, though the scars left on the surface shall never perish.
For Jj and Themba’s famillies, I know no parents wish for their kids to go through this. Sorry for the shame these young men brought upon your famillies, seeing that thei were high cocaine.
Now the government must do something to better the safety of these raods before more people get hurt.

A mother is not suppose to bury her child, children are suppose to bury their parents. i do feel the pain that those moms ar going thru. my prayers are with them, if there is a god indeed that is said to be a loving, fair god please let justice be done in his owm way.. those kids didnt run in the road they were walking on the right side they didnt ask for that, on the other hand jub jub am sure he didint just wake up that day and plan that today am going to run over somebody and kill them,
what am saying is that they both didnt plan for that to happen but unfortnately one has to pay and in this case its jub jub..save your prayers for judgement day you gonna need mercy on that day……..ooh mama jackie the least you can do is to say you`re sorry on behalf of your son to those families who lost their kids… thats if you are realy a human being with a consciuos..

My heart goes out to all the families. I lost my friend 6 years ago and no one can say anything that would make you feel better. The only advise I can give is turn to God for comfort and find peace in yourselfs. After the rain and storm the sun will shine again.
May God bless you all.
