He reminds me of that Tht president in The Last king of scotland. manners and ambitions and all..something is not right up there…this is not amusing anymore. This borders dangerously on the thin line of dictatorship…

Floyd yena o dio tomola mahlo…i’d be ashamed if i was a man riding another man’s shine (good or bad)….

  9. Mathaz on Thu, 8th Apr 2010 1:55 pm

Jah he is so learning and in training to be a dictator, i tell you. Kanti where is that intelligent woman who put Deborah Patta in her place, Vuyelwa or Vuyiswa?? I only see vo Floyd and them and yena she is so quite tjo!

  10. Kazisongo on Thu, 8th Apr 2010 1:58 pm

What does Juluis mean when he says the land reform policy in Zim was SUCCESSFULL???…yes it was courageous, millitant and radical and we know Juju loves that…but was it successfull?….Am i missing something??…what is success in this situation?….

  15. icognito on Thu, 8th Apr 2010 2:30 pm

he’s starting to look like a pig(greedy and disgusting) sorta like that fable called ” the animal farm”

  16. lady gaga on Thu, 8th Apr 2010 2:33 pm

this is embarassing yazi. this man!

  17. poshspice on Thu, 8th Apr 2010 2:35 pm

He is out of control, yep, it is not funny anymore. Unfortunately it is the media that has given him prominence and actually elevated him to the extent that makes him think he is important like he said in this press conference that the media is obsessed with him…I mean why would a BBC reporter cover Malema…

by hhayi Julius has something on ANC big shots especially Prez Zuma, he behaves like someone who possesses powerful information to destroy a lot of people….so he is growing arrogant knowing he is untouchable and no one will dare call him to order because he will tell them izindaba, kuyozwakala!!

  18. GA on Thu, 8th Apr 2010 2:36 pm

Meanwhile…some british paper is running with the story that says, following the TE murder..black people are roaming the streets with machetes…a civil war is on sight, so world cup visitors must be aware??…

Whats going onnnn ku lo mhlaba!!!….

  19. gigi on Thu, 8th Apr 2010 2:43 pm

This is going too far, regardless of what the journalist said , ga se tsela e sharp ya go treat batho. tit for tat wont get us anywhere. hae malema i was beginning to like him waitse. o bontsha a nale a lot of anger.

  20. poshspice on Thu, 8th Apr 2010 2:48 pm

My theory: Malema started kancane testing if Prez Zuma has a backbone to call him to order despite what he knows abt him, when he did not reprimand him, he grew to be the monster that he is now,out of control.

now since the Prez is quiet all comrades are folding their arms saying, we’ll see how Prez will resolve this one, and Prez is shit scared cause he has a lot to loose. I mean suddenly all politicians have gone quiet, Malema is running the show

I repeat Malema has something huge on Prez Zuma, poor prez didnt know he was getting into a deal with the devil who’s gonna use what he knows to make him look like a fool because that is what he looks like now, a weak president

  21. poshspice on Thu, 8th Apr 2010 2:55 pm

Wow BS impressive how you keep your website updated with breaking news!! congratulations, you are a star!!!

  22. Sslave on Thu, 8th Apr 2010 2:58 pm

“Meanwhile…some british paper is running with the story that says, following the TE murder..black people are roaming the streets with machetes…a civil war is on sight, so world cup visitors must be aware??…”

Exactly what Malema wanted to avoid. These british like turning things upside down and inside out. He’s right!! They are bloody Agents!!! Sometimes you need people with Malema’s balls to put these whites into their places. It is so amazing how we jump into conclusion and start reacting on something we dont have a background of. It would have been better if BS included at least some few minutes of the history of the clip in order to judge if whatever the “bloody agent” did warranted Malema’s reaction.

  23. Fruity on Thu, 8th Apr 2010 2:58 pm

This is sad indeed. What is more sad is that the president is not going to do anything about these coz where malema is concerned Zuma has only one answer ‘engage him’ as if malema knows the meaning of the word. This young tyrant thinks that he is above the law and what is worse is that comrades are putting loyalty to the movement above doing the right thing. It is like they have adopted the mentality that if you ignore something long enough it will dissappear, Comrades wake up and stop malema in his tracks, you have ignored his utterances long enough, guess what, he is becoming more and more inflated everyday. Its like they are ignoring the fact that the words of this young man has dire consequences on the country as a whole and the citizens

Cry, the beloved country for the young ignorant malema, let him not love material things over the well being of his fellow human race.

  24. QueenK on Thu, 8th Apr 2010 3:14 pm

This man seriously, and I mean SERIOULY needs help. Who the hell does he think he is! I mean calling him a boy? He needs 2 chill, get the f off his high horse & realise that nobody is impressed anymore. I think he wasnt given enough attention as a kid, so now he’s grasping for it every single second he can! Nxa! He’s so bloody annoying! Turning it racial! So placyed out! He needs to #clockout

  25. poshspice on Thu, 8th Apr 2010 3:15 pm

Sslave, 702 did play the tape, Malema said something like he won’t hold a press conference in Sandton, implying that Sandton was for the rich and he is just an ordinary man, then the BBC journalist shouted “BUT YOU STAY IN SANDTON” haah Malema got furious!!! that’s how this whole shebang started

  26. Iconic on Thu, 8th Apr 2010 3:24 pm

Eish yhaa.politics,@ poshspice,I agree with u,he’s got something big on them. They can’t just keep quite like this.

You can say that again Ga,I guess Malema’s measure of success is anything opressive to the whites which in essence is just reverse Apartheid.

Well he has certainly been learning from the best,if my memory serves me correctly, Mugabe once called a journalist in Egypt an Idiot!!!

  37. lwandie on Thu, 8th Apr 2010 4:10 pm

@ Sslave, jounalists always shout random things though-nothing at all to do with Africa

The negative reporting by BBC was to be expected after that Journalist stant and Malema’s recent visit to Zimbabwe. It may not be right but whether we like it or not thats the nature of the media-it’s voice has the power to topple whole nations.

Before the land -issue in Zimbabwe,Mugabe was the Darling of the United Kingdom-every single one of his state visits was covered in a very positive light ,even though the masses in Zimbabwe were already suffering. It was only when he touched the things that directly affected them that BBC and all other world media slowly started to discredit his reputation.

The biggest surprise in all this havoc going on in South Africa is why the president is not taking a more affirmative stance.

ohh Sslave the Mail and Guardian says:

“He criticised the Movement for Democratic Change — the Zimbabwean opposition party — saying they should go back to Zimbabwe instead of working from offices in Sandton, Johannesburg.

British Broadcasting Corporation journalist Jonah Fisher interjected, saying Malema lived in Sandton — unleashing a barrage of insults”

julius is an…nah he doesn’t deserve a mention, but floyd is nuting but a dick rider.

  46. GA on Thu, 8th Apr 2010 4:55 pm

    lol @ nan….

@ Lwandie…i truly always try to be objective when i analyse Malema’s rhetorics…hoping that with the passion he is lobying for this issues, there must be something there that us the simple people dont see. And with regard to the Zim success thing, ive been thinking that its either he has some serious deep point we dont see or he is really really mad….im inclined to go for the latter. But then the silence of Zuma and the ANC veterans makes me wonder if again, are we the simple people missing something that they see in malema???

Who in their right mind goes to the lenghts that Malema seems to be going to, to sabotage his own country that he claims to love??….is he indeed sabotaging the country or is he misrepresented (imperialists etc) . Something just doesnt add up. Its either we are dealing with a mad man here…or we are missing something…???..or something in between???…

    Im genuinly #just curious….

  49. Semomo on Thu, 8th Apr 2010 6:12 pm

Aintlek Malema is a racist, he even points his finger and calls the journalist “rubbish is what you have covered in your trouser, you are a small boy you can’t do anything,go out BASTARD” “here you behave or jump,uh huh don’t come here with that white tendency of undermining blacks even where you work”. That was uncalled for…MALEMA IS A RACIST AND A STRAAT MATE PERIOD AND THE ANC NEEDS TO GET RID OF HIM WASWABISA MXM.

Haibo I’ve just seen what Julius did to that journo and its sad. I’m so sad right now I don’t know what to say. Yoh hayi shame that journo, was there a need for Julius to do all that humilation. He was only trying to show that he has authority. There was no need for all those insults. Tjo! I’m shocked hayi there’s something mentally or psychologically unstable about Julius. Really this is not funny at all. Shame man he treated that journo like a kid. Tjeeer I didn’t want to comment on this but after I saw that clip on Enews I just felt like expressing how I feel, tjo hayi!

  52. GA on Thu, 8th Apr 2010 6:50 pm

    U said it King!

  65. BathoBatho on Fri, 9th Apr 2010 12:24 am

I also believe that Juju has something on Zuma and other top politicians, hence they don’t dare cal him to order.

As for his outburst, it is out of order but very entertaining, he should get an award for entertainer of the year in politics.

Sometimes these journalists r silly and disrespectful. Juju was just showing him who runs things at Luthuli, and u better take that literally coz he runs things.

  68. Luja on Fri, 9th Apr 2010 8:16 am

@ Sslave: I am so with u on everything u said there…each n every word.

my only issue with my beloved ancyl is the amount of unnecessary media briefings that they are holding at every other turn for such ambigious and petty issues that have very little to do with their constituency.

as for the guys sitting next to Juju, the one on our left is Floyd Nyiko Shivambu, former political intellectual and good writer with a very promising future in politics he was potentially the Barack Obama of SA in future politics. The guy used to write good notes at 3 in the morning but now since Mangaung the only place u will find him is Taboo…pity. The one on the right is Pule Mabe TG of the ANCYL is a former journalist and a published author…its a really huge pity what these former bright stars have degenerated into, really.

  69. Luja on Fri, 9th Apr 2010 8:28 am

oh and my point is, with the essay above, these learned gentlemen that are flanking Juju should have told him when he was getting personal with what’s in the guy’s pants…at least Floyd should have intervened in a form of a whisper and said ‘u know nkokheli (chief, my friend…or whatever they call each other) its enuf, leave this agent to go coz thina we are better than them’ coz he always says that if u kneel down to bark with the dogs ppl will not tell the difference.

thats my 2 cents worth ke

  72. MaBusi on Fri, 9th Apr 2010 9:04 am

Siyabulela u r so wrong! There was no need for Malema to throw insults at the guy! If the guys question was offensive he shuld’ve just called him to order in a good mannered way hay Ukuthuka!!!!

  73. Sslave on Fri, 9th Apr 2010 9:09 am

Nthatisi you are so right. I mean even on this very same blog people were blaming the poor lady saying she pushed Visagie. SMH and SMH again. Haai we are really scared of makgowa. I agree that Malema was wrong but we need people who will put these people were they belong. I was just asked if I saw what Malema said to the BBC guy by this white girl and I just told her that the guy deserved every word Malema said to him. What did she expect me to say. That Malema is a fool blah blah blah?

  74. Mathaz on Fri, 9th Apr 2010 9:13 am

The ANC leadership must do something and fast, OMG i even forgot that word “tjatjaraag”. Birds of the feather…he got that mentality and rude behaviour from the master himself Mugabe…

  75. Idealist on Fri, 9th Apr 2010 9:13 am

Everybody who voted for the ANC should not be complaining & shocked but happy because this is exactly what they voted for if not worse.

U ain’t see nothing yet, the worse’s still 2 come – watch the space because u’ll b uttering another “good riddance” soon.

It’s dissappointing to hear people saying that they voted 4 da ANC bcos there’s no alternative party to vote for & other parties r doing nothing but highlighting what da anc is doing wrong.

In 94 did da ANC deliver on anything or did u just vote for it on promises?

  76. Mmapula on Fri, 9th Apr 2010 9:20 am

julius must know something we dont, he is been accusing journalist of sleeping with politicians for stories and now he tells one that he must “come out” and that he has “rubbish in his pants” this is no coincidence.

  80. bonangmubishame on Fri, 9th Apr 2010 9:46 am

Ah the only issue I had is WHY the journalists didn’t leave with Jonah Fisher when he was told to come out the closet and get out: “Come out, get out”. Now they are all like, “We support Jonah Fisher, out learned colleague” but didn’t do so when it mattered… The bottom line in the media is all about profit and I’m sorry to say, but this year being a journalist has been a hard burden to bear.

My flatmate said to me yesterday that it is rude to interrupt another person when they are speaking and he doesn’t get why the people who took Visagie’s side when he threw a bitch fit are now saying that they understood why Visagie reacted the way he did, but don’t understand why julius did the same…

  81. Luja on Fri, 9th Apr 2010 9:46 am

@Idealist…u sound more and more like the people who blog on the timeslive…
Yes i did vote for ANC and about 99% of the ppl i know did as well, who would you prefer we vote for, Madame Zille? SO that we get toilets with no walls…

  82. Double Standards on Fri, 9th Apr 2010 9:52 am

Please find below Transcript of the Political Briefiing, it clearly shows that the President was provoked and he responded in a proper way befitting a militant Youth Leader..

President Malema: These popcorn and mushrooming political parties in Zimbabwe, they will never find friendship in us. They can insult us here from air conditioned offices of … Read MoreSandton, we are unshaken. They must stop shouting at us. They must go and fight for their battle in Zimbabwe and win. If they got ground and they are formed on the basis of solid ground in Zim why are they speaking in Sandton and not Mashonaland or Matabeleland?

There is nothing Sandton in Zimbabwe. There is everything about the Zimbabwean. Let them go back and fight there. Even when the ANC was underground in exile, we had our internal underground forces fighting for freedom, and we have never spoken from exile.

JOHN FISHER INTERJECTS: You live in Sandton

President Malema: Let me tell you before you are tjatjarag (excitable) this is a building of a revolutionary party and you know nothing about the revolution.

FISHER: So they’re not welcome in Sandton but you are?

President Malema: Here you behave or else you jump.

FISHER: This is becoming a joke.

    President Malema: Don’t laugh!

President Malema: Chief, (points at the back of the room), can you get security to remove this thingy.

If you are not going to behave, we are going to get security to take you out. This is not a newsroom this, this is a revolutionary house and you don’t come here with that white tendency, not here. You can do it somewhere else, not here.

If you have got a tendency of undermining blacks even where you work, you are in the wrong place. Here you are in the wrong place, and you can go out.

  83. Double Standards on Fri, 9th Apr 2010 9:52 am

    FISHER: But that’s rubbish!

President Malema: You can go out … rubbish is what you have covered in that trouser – that is rubbish. That which you have covered in your clothes is rubbish, ok?

You are a small boy you can’t do anything. Go out … bastard! Go out! You bloody agent!

We cannot be allowed to be undermined in our own terrain, you can do that in your own offices, but here, once you come in here – this is not a playground, this is Luthuli House. It’s the headquarters of a revolutionary party which has liberated the people of South Africa.

Here, you come, you restrain yourself and behave in a manner that is befitting of being in the head quarters of the ANC. It’s not a beer-hall here, it’s not a drunk beer-hall – cheap beer-hall, this. And you ask anybody including political parties which tried to undermine this house what happened to them.

You can undermine all of us but not the house. Never undermine the house. When you are here, you are in a different terrain. You are in our space and you are going to behave in a manner that is befitting of being in the ANC office.

You don’t howl here especially when we speak and you behave like you are in an American press conference? This is not America, it’s Africa.

You must behave in an African way. If you are in Rome, you do as the Romans do. These things you write about us and insulting us, that is your space [and] you can do as you wish. We don’t have a problem with that and we have accepted that you are abusing that space and you are abusing us in that space.

But you don’t come and abuse us in our own space, in our own house. This is my house and you will behave according to the rules of my house. We are not forcing anybody to be here. If you feel you are offended by the removal of this gentleman, you are most welcome to walk, you are free to go.

  84. Double Standards on Fri, 9th Apr 2010 9:52 am

We don’t force anybody to come here. We would be worried if the SABC doesn’t come, but the rest of you to be honest, we really don’t care.

SABC is our own but the rest, it’s ok whether you come or you don’t come. We don’t have a problem.

And if you feel offended in solidarity with this gentleman, like the solidarity of other journalists who connived with a corrupt journalist which was exposed by the Youth League, you are again free to walk. The corridors are open.

Let’s not push each other to a point where we will have to engage each other differently because we are not going to be undermined by young boys and then we say ‘no, we need to restrain ourselves’.

When we are in the BBC studios you can pull us around and say whatever. You do that anyway when we have interviews with you. You just come in when we try to respond and you ask further questions … we never fight with you at that level, that’s your space. But here, my brother, you need to ask the South Africans – if you’re not – what the ANC is and what does the head quarters of the ANC mean to them.

So these are the headquarters of the ANC and we behave accordingly and like I said, if you felt offended, you can walk. There is no problem. And this is not a threat to media freedom. Media freedom without limitations and journalists just running amok and wanting to undermine us like that – we are human beings.

We are not going to be looted here and harassed by journalists. You can do that to the elders and not to us. We are the youth and we will act in a youthful manner, if you know what it means.

So that is how we will act on anybody that seeks to undermine us. The ANC is going to revive liberation movements all over Africa.

  87. GA on Fri, 9th Apr 2010 10:11 am

@Double Standards ..thanx for the transcript mfe2…makes some things clearer, because honestly the news clip made it sound like the journo was silent while malema was feasting on insulting him..especially the “rubbish is what you have in your pants part”…ooryt…kinda makes sense now, there is a bit of logic, coz what we got yesterday sounded like a mad man.

I do have a problemn with malema demanding respect when he himslef doesnt respect others. He talks about respecting elders, yet he insults with impunity elders who are anti ANC. he wants ANC respected, yet he doesnt respect other parties..what he said about MDC and Tsvangirai is wrong on so many levels, yet only he is supposed to do such….

Yes he has valid points about racism in this countyry and the distorted british/international media..even SA media..but his aproach is very wrong.

last night the debate continued over drinks..and 4 of my very academic friends were very supportive of him…and i realised that He has many supportes..most of them you will never find on this kind of forums…

Double Standards thanx. Exactly what I said yesterday. We needed the whole background and the entire story before bungee jumping into conclusions. Please fellow country people, we should check and recheck what the media is feeding us. Even on the news, they only showed the Malama gone crazy part and the bloody agent was not audible because there were no 50 microphones in front of him. The media only wanted everyone to see Malema as the most black rasist ignorent person (As vuyo puts it). I refuse to be channeled by the media. I repeat I do not condone the use of foul language by Malema but he was provoked and he responded in a proper way befitting a militant Youth Leader..

  95. Mathaz on Fri, 9th Apr 2010 10:46 am

Whether the journalist provoked him or not, it still does not justify his utterance, bottom line…Malema was wrong and should be called to order.

THANKS DOUBLE STDRDS For the transcript..coz eTV has an agenda vele nje ngoJuju..BUT His APPROACH WAS WRONG even if the journo was out of order and i do agree that this guy was undermining him…he seemes young and inexperienced in dealing with foreign politics..maybe he is seasoned journo in the UK..but Malema has some valid points about respect..even though HE is the most DISRESPECTFUL politician to ever come out of the ANC…I think the fellow journalists should have supported this guy and left with him to show solidarity..but being the opportunists that journalists are, they just sat there and watched the poor guy beng insulted..shame on them…they just wanted the story no matter what ….this is just Juju’s personality at its best..but the question is WHAT does the ANC think about his outburst, are they deliberately ignoring him or he has a hold on them for some reason..HE knows where the bodies are..!!!LOL….

“Cry the beloved country”..62 yrs on i wonder if that tittle is still approprate for obvious different reasons. how do i disanged myselft to this feeling of dipondency while all i want is to “JAMBOK” malema kakhulu nje aze akrazukelwe ziblukhwe….what For? for being an angry little boy? for being rude? for being psychologically unstable? Insensitive?incorrigible? Oh yes mos def,,,but for being racist? I am not sure i wanna hit him for that while i want to send a condolence note to ET’s familly that reads “REST IN HELL/ PIECE ET”. Yha that malema is unapologetic, insenstive but he represents everthing that his suppoters utter in solitudes of their toilets but will never dare say in public, the kind that is silently hatefull of “other” race. I “stand” here very confused and mad, confused because i think Malema represented the “racist” in me by kicking the Guy out, Mad because that boy has no moral standing as a leader, yu see uMakhulu wam once told me a leader is a dealer, a purveyor, a deliver of hope and he is non of those in my opinion, with that being said, i believe our main man(JZ) had never been a deliver of hope(again in my opinion) and that was one of the reasons he gave his balls to that “IDIOT” called Malema, otherwise why would he let lenkwenkwe igqube esibayebi sakhe, well it maybe be because he exchanged his horns for a tail, otherwise why is he held at ransom by non intelligent and babbling boy. a future Zimbabwe isn God’s plan for us after whts we hav ethrough as a nation. it is quite esay to fall into trap of feeling negative right know but hell no I AM LOOKING forward to the WORLD CUP in SA, even with politics getting “TJATJARAG”

After Idi Mugabe terrorises MDC supporters maybe its better to do business there juss like the ANC left for other African countries cos the Apartheid gov was on their back and I also agree with previous statements,I think Malema has a thing big things on the ANC leadership mostly uJZ.Honestly, there is something Juju knows that we do not know… This is politics

@DoubleStandards thanks for the transcript. Searched for it everywhere. I must agree with most people who say that we need to check up on lazy journo’s, they spin the story the way they want to. So do you have more of the transcript from before the interjection so that we can hear a little more about how Juju was bad mouthing the MDC? Or is this your spin? I’m sorry but I can’t excuse Juju’s behaviour. People have said the journo was undermining him? What? Juju was mouthing off about the MDC having an office in Sandton, what like the ANC didn’t have offices in London during the struggle? He deserved to have that interjection. He’s making grossly ignorant statements about a country where opposition politicians fear for their lives! Come on. Just as we want to be informed and arrive at our own conclusions, maybe Juju should not just believe everything Zanu-PF tells him. He sounded like a Zanu-PF spokesman, this while for the past months and years SADC and President Zuma have been trying to make the powersharing deal work. I’m sorry but he’s a politician and should be able to take the heat. Was he flustered because the interjection exposed him? Who actully cares, losing his cool like that in front on all those camera’s was an insult to the ANC, I don’t give a damn if he somehow felt insulted.
