Friday night I attended Shugasmakx’s LIVE EDITION at the Blues Room.. please don’t ask me what that means because I cant explain it.
The invite stated 7:30pm and we were told not to be late and I quote ‘If u come late then u will miss out on the free bees and goodies that u can get before the show’ … So yours truly rocked up at 7:20pm hoping to score a bit but eish even the lady with the guest list rocked up late and damn did she look hot??!! Now I know why she came late Lol. Y’all know I am not one to give compliments but jah I got to.
Anyway we had our dinner, which my date complained about and insisted we take a picture, since the food wasn’t all that. To make matters worse, we had to pay for the food because being on the guest list only paid your way into the Room but no drinks or food. That’s what the waiter told us.
The man of the night arrived early for a change. He got there before all the guests and made sure that he welcomes everyone with a warm heart. I think you should have performed in that outfit that you arrived in, it really made u look HOT I am not sure about the school boy look…
I looked around for celebs but hayi hayi ke none, zero! Then after a few hours abomrapper started to pour in. The Skwatta Kamp guys came to show some love to Shugasmakx, I am talking about Flabba, Slikour, Infa & his humble wife Tshepiso.
What I admire about the Mzansi rappers is the support they give to each other. I mean they all came out in full force except for the haters of course. HHP was there sweet as ever,

Max-hoba,
Nota and Tee Pee
It was nice to see Smakx’s family showing their love and I almost shed a tear when I spoke to his mum and sister. They were just too happy for him shem
Slikour was the MC and he did a sterling job and even said WE CAN TOUCH him on his studio, hehe u should have heard the ladies scream.A new kid on the block called Kan-I opened the show for Smakx and all I can say is, that boy is going places because everyone knew his songs and were singing along, I guess I am behind.
Then Shugasmakx took to the stage and WOW, WOW, WOW, the dude can move. This was all about him for the 1st time performing with a live band as a solo artist. What I still can’t understand is the name of the band; It’s called I BEG YOUR PARDON. How does one come up with such a name mara? It was great and if I had paid to get in, it would have been my moneys worth.
JR joined him on stage to perform Monate So,

Thixo Wam! Fashion, fashion, fashion, talk about a parachute (how does one walk in those shoes mara), I had nightmares that night strue!!
My best performance of the night was when Smakx did the track JACKPOT, which is a very beautiful love song. He dedicated it to his girlfriend and also to Slikour & his woman Jill who are expecting their 1st child. Yes guys, Jill is 4months pregnant so jah Slikour is gonna be a daddy. His woman is so beautiful, down to earth, humble and looks very smart. Well done Slikour, that was a real upgrade and I personally wish u and Jill all the best. Did I mention she is coloured?? Heheh just like BS said I APPROVE.
Guys I wont say more; you’ve seen the pictures. All in all I had a great time though I had to cut the night short because I had to attend to someone, who later on dumped me to go do his stuff for his Gig the next day! Eish Musicians!!! Hayi mxm he made me miss the rest of the SHOW because……. anyway let me leave it, this is supposed to be about Smakx.

eish Kiki talk about Blues Room and time. I felt the same last month when I went for the tuesday comedy, I was not pleased at all when I arrived at 7h30 and was told the show starts at 21h00, we can go in have dinner…I would have gone home, freshen up, there I was with my office clothes and obviously some people know,they arrived close to nine looking fresh and dressed for the occassion!! but it turned out to be a great comedy night with…I had fun..

Since Shuga went all the way to the Blues Room for this live thing – I hope he’ll release it on DVD or something…or post clips on YouTube…
