The 503 Error

Hey Y’all.

You might have encountered problems logging on to JC these past 2 days. Well, our hosts tell us it’s because of the traffic we’re getting, they can’t seem to handle it and they’re suggesting that we move to another server.

It’s so irritating and frustrating for me coz I don’t even speak this language, they keep saying capacity overload what what but I’m sure it’s worse for you so I’m sorry, am honestly working on getting it sorted asap.

They couldn’t give me a temp solution so while we try sort this out we’ll keep getting the errors. Unless I put up a maintenance mode type page till everything is sorted? At least it will eliminate the frustration of sometimes getting in and not being able to get in at other times.

Still thinking.

As a result, we’re gonna slow down on posts coz there won’t be a point in putting up new articles just for our readers to get frustrated trying to read… uyang’thola?

Rest assured though, we are trying to fix it.  Askising hle bagaetsho…

    BS – I suppose there is nothing much we can do but stick around until this is being sorted out. Are you now moving to a beeeeger server? If yes, please make sure that it can handle the traffic, with bba and idols coming, this place is sure going to be busy.

    Secondly, how long will this take? Remind your system administrator to make backups and he must not mess up with the registration process as I dont see my self going thru that pain again. lol

    So the problem happens during the day? Cos now yokinto ihlangene.

    Solution, whilst they are busy fixing it, put a under construction thingie during the day say 5 am – 7pm and then we will have a field day @nite. lol

    Can these silent bloggers come out and start commenting so that when we get error 503 we know that it is worth it… It’s like we are lying now when we say there is too much traffic.

    I know SS – the silent bloggers must come out so we know what size server is required. I am busy finalising with the technician and pulling my hair out as I dont know how many people I should cater for. Eish, tough ka montle man.

    BS – can we finalise the font and emoticons issue before I give the go ahead to upgrade?
