Well, have you?

  • What makes “smoking weed” such a frowned upon habit? (Outside Melville that is).
  • Is it a foe? Why?
  • Is weed your friend? Do you smoke? Why?
  • Why is it not legal?

I took a puff (0r two) when we were in Amsterdam last year but it didn’t do anything to me and I wonder what would happen if I were to smoke an entire zol. Not saying I’m going to do it, just wondering.Guess I’m just curious to find out what you think of weed and how it has affected your life, it at all.

    I’ve never smoked it before, though sometimes i crave it so bad…u know to get high.It smells good too!!
    I don’t kno if its got the same effect as the muffins!! after u’ve had one or two muffins it feels like heaven, nothing else on your mind except this beautiful unreal world!! But the next ke its another stori!!

    My cousin is on medication because of weed, he’s been to a mental institution because of it!
    He started smoking weed in high school up to varsity and that’s where it started driving him crazy, it was so scary because he started seeing things that we didn’t see, would make noise & sing at the top of his voice in our complex!

    As much as he is still being treated but he hasn’t quit smoking, he’s been at the rehab but I didn’t help him to stop!
    I’ve never smoked weed, I’m scared!!

    There is absolutely nothing wrong with smoking weed it only becomes a problem when u overdose or let it rule your life. Just like anything in this world, tablets,food,alcohol etc if you overdose you will get hurt. “Too much of ANYTHING can make you sick”

    I have never smoked a cigarette and I don’t do cigarette smokers either. But weed is just a blessing. I miss the days when I used to go chill @ Tandoor in Yeoville and just enjoy the atmosphere. Now I just buy it and smoke at home. *not hiding* #TeamWeed

    #TeamWeed I smoke it. I love it… When I was still at varsity, I smoked it everytime before we’d go to perform. However, one langa-langa shushu day, I smoked it so much (with my two girlfriends) I got so depressed it got me wondering… I don’t know why nam. BUT, I will never stop smoking it. Maybe Kiki is right, one should not overdo-overdoe it.

    Oh, and, in all the 8 years I have been smoking it, azange ndake ndayibopha izoli. I don’t know how… Maybe, Kiki can teach me… LOL’

    Yep! Ekhaya my brother’s friend would do it for me. But I always had to pay him. At varsity I had these other two classmates of mine… Oh, how I miss varsity.

    Ouh, and guys, to those who (or want to) smoke it. NEVER BUY/GET INTSANGU FROM PEOPLE YOU DON’T KNOW. Otherwise, you will lose your mind like seriously. These people sell you ikhaphetshu and some weird stuff that will damage your brain.

    Kwaaaaaaaaa KIKI you no longer my mom, I can’t afford to have u parenting me. My room mate smokes weed and he suffers from memory loss, like he looks so dumb when he’s high.ppl said I will also smoke coz of my roomie but I’m too old to be pressurised. I’ve NEVER smoked weed and I’m not even planning to, tjo my mom wud kill me. So BS please don’t tell me you also smoke weed??

    I am an occassional smoker….like the feeling in my head that indicates i’m about to get high. the awareness that i am high….almost like an aerial view of my surroundings….love how i can laugh at just about anything when i’m high….

    i dont do too much of it because i dont wanna experience the hallucinations so i guess the typa weed u smoke is important. So jah, i am not for or against it but it’s something i dont mind doing.

    Mna i used to smoke it in high school and varsity,i think i smoked it cause i was already a smoker and i didnt drink so i had to have high of some sort,we even used it as spice and whoever tasted the soup we made would come back for more but when i turned 21 i stopped cause i just didnt see the point anymore. Last year i was working with people who smoked it every smoke break and they kept offering me but i wasnt even tempted shem but i know where they got the good stuff from in melville and yeovile.

    lol you guys are hillarious! I have nothing against weed but I have never smoked it simply because I refuse to inhale smoke, its a phobia of mine! Funny enough I’m obsessed with it though, I get it when Twinnky says she craves it, I think I do too. My friend once made soup and put it in and I remember felling a buzz and I liked it so I think I’ll only take it that way. Tjo, JC just gave me an idea, will go and get it ekasi!!

    He banna!! My cousin smokes weed and he’s skinny…..he eats a lot and really he’s irritating a sh!t outta me because i don’t like it and i don’t know why people smoke that thing,hayike i guess we all have different choices in life.

    Twinkyyy, I am slender. I ain’t thin, and yes, I don’t eat to live, I live to eat. Hayi kancinci futhi. I love food. But when I smoke it I never notice whether it makes me more hungry or not. That’s my essay for the next time I dish a joint. LOL’

    Foe…only because i have seen my cousin go mad because of it. And lyk yo cousing Bruised ego…he is on medication and yet he still does. I feel sad for my aunt (rakgadi) coz they always have to be called bcos he has been found lost all over soweto and beyond a le disorented, oh and he doesnt take the medication properly. The saddest part is that the older brother is the one who sells this things.

    And my front opposite neighbour back home le yena he went mad because of weed, and he had such a promising future, now he even gets mental disability pansion.
    Its too sad..too close to home and i would never ever.

    I got addicted to weed right after a messy break-up,I couldn’t sleep at night so I needed something to help me…For two straight years I smoked weed every single day…So for me weed got me through a tough time,but after I felt better I quit completely!!!But damn that stuff is good especially Phumla (Durban peeps) wld know!     i just couldn’t help but notice how majority of the people who have commented keep using the words *tried it once, have never tried but a friend has, i’ve had ample opportunities* etc, well, let me share a thing or two with you. Mary Jane, Reggie Bush, weed, whatever you may call it, is a holy herb. the reason it’s dubbed the Holy Herb is because it takes you to a meditational state of mind. hence Rasta’s are the most intelligent of people you may ever come across, most wise and most peaceful. unlike alcohol, it’s a depressant and not a stimulant which is why a person who’s high on weed never causes commotion. it’s been scientifically proven that a person who is High on weed is less likely to cause a car accident compared to a SOBER person as concentration levels are raised when you’re high. We associate weed with people who appear dirty, eg: boys who sit in corners @ the kasi, informal settlements etc whereas, your Paris Hilton’s, Lil wayne’s, Donald Trump’s, Jay-Z’s etc use it as well. it’s becoming popular and very fast. Melville by the way isn’t the only place you can smoke blunt like it’s legal in South Africa, Rosebank, Sandton infact most places, it’s now socially acceptable. especially for people who aren’t of the average mind. it’s no longer the 60′s darlings* (~~,) #TEAMWEED4SHO

    I used to drink it as a child all the time for many different ailments…especially in winter, for colds and flu…I didn’t know it was illegal until I was in High School.
    I was bred and buttered in Yeoville just around the corner from the Rasta House…this is still my supplier of choice.
    It also helped me get over morning sickness when I was pregnant…moderation is key.
    Imagine the possibilities, if it were Legalized, SA would become one of the worlds best destinations…just putting it out there!

    I’m useless when I’m on that stuff, I did it a couple of times and its always the same story. One time we were getting ready for Moloko, but after 1 blunt, I demanded eveeryone to switch off the music and tv, get me a blanket and curled on the couch, then I’m told I started telling stories, paying attention to minute details, debating polirics, relationships in great detail. Needless to say, Moloko never happened. Now… #closet team weed
