SAFA & SABC’s So Called “nyAgreement”!
October 13, 2010 by Brown Shuga
After the mess up with the Bafana Bafana game this past weekend, your Public Broadcaster and SAFA, led by SABC Acting GCEO Robin Nicholson and SAFA President, Kirsten Nematandani met to discuss their blunder and to agree on how to avoid it in future. .
We will ignore that the press release from SAFA referred to the SABC a “pubic” broadcaster (see screen grab below)… I mean no one’s perfect lol… or it was typed before they made peace.

Here is what the two baboons organisations agreed on…
- SAFA and SABC need to work together to ensure that rights are secured in time for games that are outside South Africa.
- SABC agreed to structure a relationship with a production entity with broadcast capability to produce matches in the West African Region.
- Both parties agreed to strengthen teams that meet on a fortnightly basis from both sides in order to strengthen communication between the two organizations.
- There must be a joint pre-inspection team prior to games be it local or outside South Africa.
- Prior to the games, there must be an advanced team that will profile the country that the game will be played at.
- The audiences will be informed in time as to whether the games will be broadcast or not.
- The Executives teams from both parties will meet on a continuous basis to review operations and to monitor the progress on the issues agreed on.
So elementary…
They have also sent out an apology to you guys for making you miss the game…and have agreed the two CEO’s will meet to discuss when contract negotiations will resume.
So, have you forgiven them?
I think these are things that should have been agreed upon ages ago… not now. Agreement, nyAgreement, nyAgreement yamas****

oh c’mon now guys, this was a publicity stunt to test whether South Africans are still behind Bafana-Bafana after the World Cup. Hopefully now that you have seen we love them and still behind them you wont pull a stunt of this nature on us ever again.

I now dont really blame SABC for not boadcasting the game. I think this is all down to the morons at SAFA. What was the agreement before if this was all agreed in the meeting today? All this is basic stuff that is supposed to form the basis of every agreement between a company and the supplier.
The Question now is who is the worst between SABC and SAFA? …my answer, birds of same feather flock together
