Uti Wins But Munya Gets More Cash?

The Big Brother All Stars came to an end on Sunday and yet again, Nigeria were the front-runners. It’s a numbers’ game, votes count so however unhappy some people may be, the results mean that Uti had more fans than Munya and so he won the $200 000 prize. Was it fair? Did he play the game better than Munya did? Well, that could be debated but it was sad that Munya survived all those evictions only to be beaten when it matters most.

I wasn’t following this season but I wanted Munya win… not because I like him more than I like Uti but because I just didn’t want Nigeria to win again… lol. Not fair, I know… Anyway, it’s done now so congratulations to Uti (who was actually second choice, the first Nigerian approached to take part in BB All Stars turned them down) and I hope he will spend those dollars wisely.

The highlight of the finale was seeing TuFace performing live… If I’d known he’d be there, I would have gone o!

So what will you miss about Big Brother All Stars, now that it’s over?

How do you feel about Uti’s win and the news that a consortium of businessmen in Zimbabwe have come together and raised $300 000 to award to Munya as consolation for coming second? I think they are silly… there are far more important initiatives in Zim that need the money … why would they just “give” Munya money like that? I hope this is all just a big joke…

Do you still want to see another Big Brother Africa or would you say the lights have been fashionably switched off with this All Stars version?

I’m kinda cool with not seeing Big Brother for the next 3 years or so… and if it does come, I’d love to see a South African version but I doubt they’ll do that. South Africans don’t vote so they won’t make half the money, viewership or exposure they get with a continental version…  so we must just be strong.

    LOL @Zims consoling their boy, that still doesnt make him BBA’s winner!

    I was never a fan of BB, my mom was and I only followed it this year because I had nothing to do the entire day (poor me).

    Anyway, I’m more than happy with Uti being the winner, Munya was very sure of himself, he thought he was already the winner. And he didnt entertain me at all, always by himself and rarely mingling with other housemates>. That boy was so arrogant!!!

    I’m definitely sure that the majority of voters were women and I was hoping that somehow they could vote for another woman, Sheila in particular. But maybe it was still a blessing that she didnt win, my mom says if she had won she would blow all her money withing a week, she always said: “I bet there’s a green bottle next to sheila or in her hand”

    i was not necessarily happy when uti won, but 4 me he was a beta choice than munya. 1. I neva liked uti, my dislike for him worsened each time he made mwisho/kayone feel inadequate. 2. Munya on the other side was my fave male from day 1, i often thought he was misunderstood by other housemates. But then he started demonstrating arrogance when he realized that the viewers liked him, he started demeaning women etc. I slowly started to loathe him. He became so sure of himself he even told uti he’d finish him. The look on his face when he lost was priceless.. This was my 1st time watching bba, so i cant wait for next year . zimbabwe wanting to reward munya: hai ke ngoku. Bayagula shem, thats all i’m gonna say.

    Well weather any1 likes it or not Munya now has at least $US300k in his acc + a Mansion in Harare’s flyest surburbs so ges coming 2nd paid off! Ha! With that said BBA must disappear till abt 2020 or so!

    I soo wanted Munya to win, entertainment or not. Yes he was arrogant and consistent about it. Uti has always been arrogant, violent and condescending towards K1 & Mwisho.

    But I think Munya also became too arrogant especially the last few weeks, and I hated him for doing that. He thought that it was in the bag already. Telling Uti he will finish him? It was soo unnecessary

    It was interesting how voting went. SADC really tried to have a winner this time…..and Moz had to be the party pooper by voting FOR Uti.
    I thought the $300 000 story was a joke on twitter? Kante it’s true?

    I love Big Brother Africa, even though I can’t watch it most of the time!! It must come back next year, new housemates though!!

    9ja did it again!!! Munya was too confident that he can finish evryone, his judgement was too early because he never face King Uti. otherwise he could have finished long time ago. Anyways i wanted Munya too win…

    What can we do 9ja support is so powerful and beside that the brothers from another mother are always on the internet 24 hrs 7days a week all over the world, so what do you expect… lets celebrate with King Uti.

    Anyway I dont know how Africa judge people but Tatiana was a really Entertainer…

    Im happy that some1 is looking out for Munya, he deserved to win. Wishing him all the luck, Uti and Shiela will never be together after this, Uti is too arrogant even worse that he has a little bit of money in his pocket. For ur info Uti did not finish Munyaradzi, he can never finish him, not in this life time.

    Zimbo’s are just rewarding Munya for representing the country. Being a Zimbo I naturally felt robbed because the much anticipated finale fell far short of convincing . Honestly I would believe Tanzania could not vote their own and vote for Munya from Tanzania is not convincing . Already M-Net Africa’s credebilty has been put to question including Alexander Forbes the company that verified those results. Only on Big Brother Africa will a presenter prempts the result of the finale before the results are brought in by the verification team , this is a shame to the whole process.

    Hehehe i don’t believe that peeople actually believe that there’ll ever be Shuti. Those two are friends and it ends there. I don’t think they even that close on the outside world. I mean i remember when this season was starting they asked eachother about what they’ve been up to beouse apparantly they haven seen one another for about a year(they just chat on social networks). About the show i think women shouldn enter, whats the point of entering if they wont win. There should be just “HOT GUYS” and see if BB would make the money.

    As for Munya the less said about him the better. I liked this guy in 2008 but this time around he was fake, fake, fake and arrogant. lol he said he made Ricco win i mean WTF i bet hes gona say the same about Uti. Yena he is got brains shame , hes smart but arrogant.

    I wanted Munya to win not because he was entertaining, but i wanted Southern Africa to bag it…

    As Far as entertainment was concerned Uti did nothing of the sort if you call looking in the mirror every 5 secs and adjusting those dreads, Belittling Kaone and crying like a baby entertainment ????????
    Tartiana was more entertaining…. she was playing a game…trying to seduce anything with pants …and KAONE falling into the pool like that Classic

    My favorite was Mwisho and i think both Uti and Munya were over-rated but Uti won and Munya’s fans and Zimbabweans have really acted like sore losers. Imagine even their President is now getting involved in a silly reality show…eish how pathetic. I wonder where the money given to Munya will come from, hope its not from public funds. Munya is an able-bodied and educated young man and he should not be made into a charity case rather opportunities should have been provided for him to make his own money. It’s really sad that a Nation with so many Economic challenges thinks that the best thing to do with $300,000 is to give it to a reality Tv star while there are so many Zimbabweans starving. Talk about misplaced priorities

    Totally agree it was very easy to manipulate the voting system and both Munya and Uti’s fans were doing just that the only thing is that the Nigerians had an edge because of their numbers.If you visit both Munya and Uti’s facebook page you will see post from their fans publicly declaring how they had opened multiple accounts under different Countries. The Zims went so far as boasting of having 200 accounts each registered under different Countries and they were even planing which Country’s vote to take next. Infact they went on to explain how to beat mxit, all 1 had to do was install vote the maximum number of times, delete and reinstall a process that could be done as many times as possible. Now i understand how Munya got Moz’s vote even when he was up against Jen and the same happened with Botswana when he was up with K1. The Zims are only crying foul play because the Nigerians beat them at their game. Alexander Forbes should please devise a new voting system.

    What chance does any country have in BBA if the rigging is so easy? Nigeria and Zim will always win and the rest will be wasting their money and time watching and voting in BBA. How I wish most SA just dont even audition for housemate. They can easily make it a Nigerian show and everybody will be happy. I hated both Uti and Munya and wished the money could have gone to a worthy housemate like Mwisho or Sheila.
