Castle Draught Launch

SAB just doesn’t seem to run out of ideas to keep beer fans in high spirits. They don’t have to though because the beer alone just does the trick, but they do it anyway.

If you’re in the business of saving water by drinking beer, you’ll be pleased to know that Castle gives you more reasons to avoid those little green bottles they have been warning you about on their billboards.  This is with the new launch of Castle Draught in a Bottle. The new Castle Lager product also aims to take its place against Heineken, Amstel and Windhoek Draught.

The launch, in the form of a cook off featuring Gang of Instrumentals and Durban’s Kwaito heavyweights Big Nuz, took place at Longmeadow’s in Fourways. But more than anything, it was an intimate picnic with celebrity Chef Justin Bonillo playing the adjudicator.

The ambiance was chilled with few recognisable faces including the 3sum queens, Jeremy and some corporate people.

Malome Harold “Speedy” Mathlaku refused to be photographed because of the alleged beef or is it chicken stew between him and JC but we managed to get this pic.

Malume Stoan was also there and looked on as I was told no no sinor you can’t take the pictures for JC since Lelo owns it. I’m glad there are still guys like Stoan who are as composed, talented and batseba goja leshela stereka.

I couldn’t take a picture of the 3 sum kittens coz one of them (I wont say which one though) had too much make-up and I didn’t want to suffer an eyesore. Looking at the sun and that halo resembling surrounding directly did enough damage to my struggling vision.

Anyways, it was a beautiful afternoon with Castle Draught in a Bottle doing endless rounds, free lunch and few pretentious people. Thanks to the rain I had to bounce earlier than anticipated… you know (or can imagine) what happens when it rains and you have plastic bags on your windows instead of glass.
