The Feather Awards Report Card

It was my first time attending The Feather Awards and boy did I have a great time! I can’t wait for the next one, it was way better than some awards that I have attended before and I hope as time goes on they will be broadcast LIVE. The company, the music, the enviroment, the drama, entertainment and the food. #Thank you!

A lot of people came out : Hlelo Masina, DJ Zinhle who made sure we danced. Zikhona, Minnie, Miranda (Tshisa), Eric Miyeni, Lucia Mthiyane, Zam Nkosi, Mr & Mrs Msengana etc.

It was good to see Koyo out and about again.

Somizi

Madam Gigi went all out and showed a lot of artists how it should be done on stage. Shim was a brilliant co host to Kenneth Nkosi and brought the house down with jokes and everybody was rolling on the floor with laughter. Gigi complimented but most of all criticised a lot of artists from one hit wonders, tata ma chance, dead and resurrected artists, and shim even included Somizi on the list (talk about being REAL).

DJ ZInhle looked beautiful and it was good to see Theo from Boom Shaka, he looked good and has shed some kilos.

Kagiso Lerato

Kagiso AKA Shazz looked beautiful. Lerato Kganyago was there too. I asked her why she deactivated her Twitter account because we are missing her. Her response was that she just woke up one morning and decided ‘no more Twitter for now’.

Lira was sizzling hot. I loved her gown and also the grey/black outfit she performed in when she paid tribute to Mabrrr.

Bucie was joined by Amstel and they worked the Lebo Mathosa dance moves to the tee.

Sophie Ndaba accepted her Award with a great smile and said that she has to attend all these events because it’s her job.

She has to know what is happenning around her and keep up with the times, which makes sense because she runs an Events Company.

The Kwela Brothers looked fresh & clean

Speedy & Stoan both looked yummy in suits. When they went up to accept their Award they did it with swag. Speedy whispered things to Stoan and then uStoan repeated it out loud. Talk about being gangsta.

Dineo Ranaka is one gal that knows how to have fun. She danced the night away. Her acceptance speech was ‘All those that are still in the closet must come out so that they can be loved as they are’ She went on to say ‘Diamonds are no longer a woman’s best friend but gay guys are’

Theunis Crous arrived with his wife Primrose. He was all smiles as if his life was not an open book. All cameras & eyes were on him the minute his name was called out as a nominee because almost everybody knew that no one else deserved that Award more than him “Drama Queen – These are personalities we read about every Sunday over breakfast, their lives revolve around a lot of dramatic behavior or situation.”

Then he was announced as the winner and the media had a feast coz then the drama started. While we were busy paying attention to Crous just to capture his reaction before going up to collect his Award we heard Khanyi’s voice on stage. “Who said people can have Feather Awards without me?” everybody left poor Crous and ran to film/photograph Khanyi. She said what she wanted to say and her last words were ‘Congratulations on your Award Crous’. The minute Crous set foot on stage Khanyi started moving. Then madala said to Khanyi ‘hello baby’.

Miss Bling (with her bodyguards and Malcolm X) just walked off as if Crous was invisible.

I must say most of the people that were there sounded like they were on Khanyi’s side because while Crous was giving his speech people started boooooooooing him and that must have pissed the old man off because then he started attacking the media calling them ‘MOTHERFUCKERS” ring any bells?? heheheh. He then thanked Khanyi for being a problem in his life.

I really don’t know why Primrose allows herself to put up with such rubbish. Primrose I have said this before and you blocked me for it I will still say it again: Sisi you are a beautiful woman and you deserve better,kick that old dogg to the curb because he has no respect for you and your children.

uPoplar bethunana! cant she just divorce and take that man to the cleaners. i mean what happened to her self respect? or maybe again, she’s always wanted to be in the limelight (from her days of beauty contests and never winning them). dont care what her pastor says, no woman should ever put up with ish like that. it says a lot about her (even though she claims to have met uTat’omkhulu when he was still driving his bakkie). any self respecting woman would have long walked out, especially when there’s kids involved. how is she gonna explain all of that to her kids one day?

Crous-Mbau-Primrose saga is such a big *Yaaaawn*, who gives F**** really? MEDIA!! Who ever is so fixated by these boring ppl should stop it now. Yessses! every flippen day we have to read abt who dropped the chargers, who acquired restraining order, who beat who, who said this, who went to the loo, WTF?? mnxiim.. I dont even feel sorry for that Primrose girl, I hope another Biyaaach comes and take Crous and parade with him just like Khanyi did, she makes me soo angry, for such a beautiful gal like her be ass-lickin that man beats me. Money cannot buy your respect. mnxim why do I even bother!

I must say though I am not as excited as I was abt this article, I guess I waited too long for it, pls Ms. Kiki, next time dish out the Mgosi while its still Hot, now i feel like nditya umbeko wa Saturday, i’ve seen most of the pics and heard the gossip on twitter already..

Sisonke,I have been a silent blogger for as long as I can remember. I even witnessed the changing of Kiki to Nonkawu and the reasons behind. I also remember that JC Bloggers started focusing on BS & Kiki’s personal lives instead of the articles written.I just need to know and understand exactly what the bad in her positiveness is and that is why I need clarification.

I personally don’t have a problem with the Kiki now. Also BMS has changed for the better and that is a very good thing. Do we want JC to be known as a site that always pumps negatives?

@Kiki there is absolutely nothing wrong with writing a positive caption. How people respond or write about it shouldn’t worry you as it is their nasty behind that always sees the negative and the bad in everything.
Pics with no caption are boring. You can make it funny and positive.

UNonkawu was one of the ppl who made me spend most of my day ku JC (which is not good but I was addicted), she was friends with no one and she will tell it like it is.UKiki is friends with most of the celebrities and its understandable that she doesnt wanna talk badly about them noma azi ukuthi there’s some juicy news she doesnt dish it out. And Im not gonna force her to do that, I wudnt do it to my friends too.

@GoneBlack,I think that was Jozi Insider’s job. Where is he? He is the one that used to or supposed to attend events only for gossip. He never used to take pictures but all the other JC writers brought us pictures and we like it.

Whoever said gossip has to be malicious? Why do we have to bring people down, and if Kiki has changed, then good for her. Because at the end of the day, if she hits the fan all JC Bloggers will be nowhere to be found-and it will be just BS and Kiki left to pick up the pieces. MissH I respect you for your comment. It’s very mature and real. People tend to forget that Kiki,BS,Lebza,Hastings etc are the ones who attend these events and come face to face with these celebs and when sh*t goes down NO ONE ELSE is there,they have top face the music. Not so long ago Kiki mentioned that her camera was almost thrown away because she was representing JC.

I am also saying Kiki keep your positive attitude some of us love it,forget those people who act like they are paying you.
