Mechanix of House = Masterpiece
It’s a 3 CD house compilation mixed by Thee Gobbs, G-Funk. Featuring most tracks and remixes from DO IT NOW Recordings a company owned by 2lani “THE WARRIOR”

2lani has been in the game since 1997. He is famous for his trademark “sweet house sound” and flawless technical mixing. He has been featured alongside international house DJ legends such as Kaskade, Harrison Crump and Troublemen. In this project the house genius is working alongside Thee Gobbs, Eastrand born DJ/Sound Engineer. Thee Gobbs worked with JR on his second album and has also worked with veteran producer Lebo M. G Funk, a passionate DJ who has been around since the days when Chicco, Senyaka and Brenda Fassie were at the peak of their careers.
2lani has released 3 (solo) compilations First class house volume 1 & 2 and Devine house of 2lani. First class house compilations have become known of their deep uplifting grooves. Devine House of 2lani was a trendy fuse of jazz and house.
In this compilation Thee Gobbs takes us through a soulful journey with tracks like Shine -G Spice featuring talented singer Bantu, Secrets Of Life-Nastee Nev (Instrumental), Ngawe-Bosrruu ft Wandile. Tracks that stand out are Thru Anything – SoulAGENDA ft Teepee. Teepee is a very talented singer ,it’s about time Mzansi starts appreciating this young man’s music. Heart Song G Spice features Mpho Maboi.
G Funk shows his experience with his style. Tracks like Katuma – Prince, Ibizwantoni Lento and Zulu Dance both by Fiso Da Cosda will make every DJs set hot. Heavy bass and drums on these songs will drive club and party goers crazy. Other songs to look out for are Her Name – Fiso Da Cosda Ft Phizay and Jamaica – Mapeps & Keeg.
2lani as usual doesn’t disappoint. If you love deep house you will love his disc. He mantains the standard with tracks like Hold – Mad Nuchies, Saint- T-Solo, Emotions-Nathan X,I feel -Mindlo& Essencial 1 (Instrumental mix)..All the tracks are dope but the tracks that stands out is A breeze within a breeze by Thee Gobbs.
This compilation is a masterpiece. If you love quality and timeless music. This one is for you.

The SA House Chart is a dope compilation with 2010 house music hits..
It’s a double CD mixed by two talented DJs: DJ Shimza and Franky. Shimza, a Thembisa born DJ, burst into the scene when he won The Channel O Betrams VO DJ competition THE NEXT BIG THING. Shimza is a beast on the decks, most DJs are scared to play after him.
It’s Franky’s 3rd project, he’s Euphonik’s protege, they work closely together and he’s a resident DJ on Euphonik’s Sunday night house show My House on 5fm.
CD1 mixed by Shimza and the opening track is I wanna Love You by The Award winning dj Lulo Cafe featuring Nothende. The vocals are on point followed by I Lost A Good Friend- Chris IDH featuring Nickson a chilled track.
Shimza compiled two big tracks at the moment by Mphoza On And On and Power. Other hits on his CD are Boni Mores- DJ Whisky, Pepe-Cuebur ,Love You Better- Crazy White Boy remixed by him and Ceuber. The biggest track in his CD is Bang Her- The Phoenix its huge in the club scene..
On CD2 mixed by Franky, the opening track sets the mood. It’s In Luv In A Luv Song by Jaidene Veda (Jasob B remix). He compiled three dope tracks/remixes by Rocco: If you ever need a friend, Suite Disappointment and my favourite Each and Every Day (Life Goes On) a typical Rocco club banger. Other tracks to look out for are Hey Hey – Dennis Ferrer (Df’s Attention Vocal Mix) and Complicated – Ralf Gum featuring Kafele.
After listening to the compilation, all I can say is that most of the songs are already in other compilations but if you want hits in one album go out and get it.
Album rating 7/10
