The Metro FM Music Awards Ceremony

The Metro FM Music Awards Ceremony was quite entertaining and the performances were out of this world. I am not that concerned about our music and where it’s headed, and we have to give credit where it is due, our artists are making an effort and yes we have a long way to go before they can show us the kind of artistry we watch in the VMAs etc, we’re making great strides.

As mentioned in my prior #MMA posts, creative wise, nothing stood out… but I guess the organisers are just happy that the show went on without technical glitches. Well, if you don’t count DJ Sdunkero’s heheh you’ll have to wait for the TV broadcast to find out why the crowd started laughing at him… eish darkies! There were dancers but I hardly noticed them… guess Somizi’s touch was needed.

The noisy bikers who opened and closed the show… I missed the show’s ending because I fell ill and had to leave but I hear it was quite pap… almost felt like something was missing.

Azania looked absolutely stunning…Nthato did a great job with her make up.

DJ Sbu wore red shoes with this outfit and I thought he looked fresh!

Winnie looked really hot in this suit. I missed this performance but knowing her, I’m positive she gave it her all.

I didn’t like how Busi made fun of Mandoza’s English when she was on stage…. I’m sure (the black I’m sure) it was funny but I didn’t laugh.

Aaaaah, the night belonged to Professor, who scooped the coveted Song Of The Year Award for his hit song, Jezabel.

Thanks to Metro FM for an entertaining night. We all had fun but y’all deserve a “TJO Award” for asking “people” to present awards and later change your minds because “they work for DSTV” or “Work for YFM”… like didn’t you know this when you called them? SMDH!

    The performances were wonderful, I agree.

    You only mention Sdunkero, wait until you see DJ Siyanda. He was the biggest joke of the day. Shem man. Kids, go to school, that’s all I can say.

    Kwaaa @ Something about that look. Nicely done. I love Zion. There is something about a man in a suit. I even overlook his kiss madolo because he just looks so good in a suit.

    Yes, Winnie was amazing with the lovely Kitty. One of the high points of the night.

    I didn’t like Azania first dress. Those strips ezilengayo didn’t do it for me. Maybe it was by the same person who did Simphiwe’s because the bottom of her dress had similar ones too.

    Oh yes, I loved DJ Fisherman and Professor’s Zulu speeches. It actually even masked if they can speak uGeorge or not. Take notes those who always mess it up. This is not aimed at Mandoza, I feel the same way about him as you BS.

    I absolutely loved the 10 year celebrations. Oh my, another high point of the evening.

    I thought you were going to post the picture of Khanyi presenting showing us her booty. Modimo, la ntombazane iyayithanda idrama, abayiyeke.

    I have to say the whole production was good…except for those bikers. I also don’t know what the purpose was. When the first came in I though maybe the presenters or the hosts were riding in them.

    Hubby’s young brother was in the same train. He says Ishmael was drunk and insulted a lot of people but most people didn’t pay attention to him bcoz they could see he was drunk. I don’t know why Gabi is making a whole lotta noise about it. It’s not like her Zuluboy is a saint. I have seen him in action but nobody writes about it because a drunk person’s craziness is NOT news.
    She even went on & on about it on Twitter as if she was the ONLY victim. I am not surprised anyway coz she is best friends with Lerato who also claimed abuse in the BBA house. SMH

    Sarafina, It wasn’t my first time in Nelspruit …. I’d been there about 4 or 5 times before. The venue was stunning, it didn’t feel like we were at a stadium.. .except when you had to go to the loo. I enjoyed the place, it was damn hot but I’d have heat over cold any day so I enjoyed Nelspruit.
