Here’s my interview with TBose of KAYA FM for those who missed it last week.

More about “The Best T in da CITY” - Weekdays 09h00 – 12h00

This is a family show that incorporates people in the office and those at home. Their subject matter speaks to mothers and fathers, married and single people, daughters and sons, boys and girls and seeks not only to entertain but inform and educate. The show is made up of Good Music, News and traffic reports and listeners get to SIP the Best of inspiration and aspiration.

The Best T in da CITY – Features

09:05:00: The City Hits Music Marathon – This is an uninterrupted music sweep of 4 songs

09:30:00: Ten-Second Challenge – This is where T speaks to Fentselite, the show’s producer, about the topic of the day before they do the Ten Seconds Challenge Competition, which is when we experience high phone calls because listeners are trying their luck at winning the Jackpot, which increases daily!

09:40:00: The Three T spoons – This has become such a listener favorite; it is where T shares tips, advice or any witty or educational knowledge about the chosen topic. The 3 T Spoons is more like T’s 2-cent’s worth advice on the day’s topic and listeners can get these on our website as well and get to share them with friends and colleagues.

10:05:00: My Top Ten – This is by far the time when we enjoy the most listenership across the station. This is every listener’s favorite. We invite listeners to email their choice of music and we get to dedicate the entire hour to one chosen listener’s Top Ten songs. Radio enjoys most listenership when a listener is made a “celebrity”. Listeners relate with that because they look forward to hear who it is, if they know them and whether their choice of music differs from theirs. During My Top Ten we get to speak to the listener whose songs we play and we get to also ask them the 3 T-Spoons, which are questions based on the day’s theme as well.

11:05:00: The City Hits Music Marathon – This is an uninterrupted music sweep of 4 songs, but the thing with this Marathon is that is follows the Day’s Theme and we pick songs that speak to the topic being discussed and this anchors the theme more. This allows the listener to “relate” to the songs differently because they now see what the song says and how it fitted into the Day’s theme!

11:35:00: Emails – On the show we prioritise the role a listener has to play on the show and every day in the last hour we get to read the listener’s emails and this allows the other listeners to get to know other people’s take on the subject and to see if they differ or have a lot in common wit other listeners.

    You said you are older than you look. So do i. And ive been frastrated offlate with little boys thinking they are “my size”..it offends me beyond words. My little brothers are 22 and anything younger than that just reeeealy offends me. Well anything a month younger than me puts me off…but ya… Do you encounter this problem. Does it offend you. Infact i need tips from anyone who goes through this… What can one do?. Im Even thinking of a make over, wearing clothes that wil make me look my age. #distressed

    MissAN..i just tested on my pc….im able to hear this and all.
    It depends on whether your computer has sound drivers.
    1. Are you able to listen to normal songs on your computer?…if yes, then maybe u need to install an ADOBE Flash player software, its a free downlaod…
    2. IF you arent able to listen to anything at all on your computer, then there arent sound drivers and u need them.
    3. If its at work, there is a lot of staff they can do to prohibit audio streams etc…

    MissAn…im 24 and half…and ive been told i look anything from 18 to 20. LOL this one time last year i was having a chat with this lady, we were having a very mature converstaion..bcos i am mature enough to have one. Kanti she was impressed and she said she would like to introduce me to her 19 yr old son bcos she likes me and not the girls ba ko kasi ya hae whom his only son may end up bringing home. She was very embarrased when i told her my age..and disappointed…and i was less offended coz ke mme, but offended nonetheless :(

    GA why do you think it’s a bad thing to look younger than your age. If you had to choose between only two things, looking younger or older which one would you choose.

    Wait until you hit 30, you’ll appreciate your youthful look, at that stage you realise there’s no turning back age wise, you can only make yourself at least look good at that age and maintain your ‘Precious Motsepe’s’ look..old by age but hot and looking young.

    Posh…i hear you.I do wanna age gracefully. But however gracefull i age. i want to look that particualr age. Is it possible?, Ryt now….what bothers me ke gore my lil brothers are 22 and they respect me a lot. And younger kids think they can size me up or whatever. I know it can be worse…but it just bothers me. I also tutor, and for the past 2 years, every first time i walk in class, the students think im there to also write a test or do a tut they dont keep quite untill i start throwing papers on the table.
    Where i come from, at home ko strateng, ke nna Sesi GA, the respect, im used to that from anyone younger than me…mara mo makgoweng mo,….i have to contend with this, its really not nice. Need to get over it or find a way to deal with it. #releasing.

    @ GA Nna shame I’d like that.It does’nt feel nice when people think you are older that your age.Nna Im 25 but most of my friend are 27-3o.So people think lenna Im somewhere there.

    I was a bit excited last month when i was in cubbana and a kid liked me when I ask him to guess my age are I was born 88 and Lol..I got a bit excited to hear something different for a change.

I neeed a majoor corporate makeover then because I work as well, and its a jean and sneakers enviromnent at best* if one is to be efficient or comfy..worst PPE:(. I make the non jean effort during tuts and exams dates so i can look older…my best “corporate look” effort is still very much not too corporate..*thinking as write*…i need to enlist a wardrobe consultand…*deppressing staff**..but ill take this one by the horn MissAN. something has to give…

    As for the show’s programme up there…I think him and Fentse did a great job in actually sitting down and structuring the show…I love every slot (just by reading above) but i admit that I only catch Top 10 + Last Sip when I can (i.e. on the road)…

    Aww just listened to the interview,loved it,BS and Tbose bounced off each other so well,I like how he wasn’t pushy about THE question and just let the whole thing flow .I think its such a big turn off when interviewers almost want to strangle an answer out of someone

    …lol good Cafes are hard to find,but when you find the right one you will never order your latte from anywhere else !!
