Jozi’s Top Socialites: The Blerh List 2011

There are many lists and awards that honour celebrities, businessmen and fashionistas out there that have become official annual events that we all look forward to. I thought that it would be nice to honour certain people that often go unnoticed but have a major contributions to the Jozi social scene. I am referring to the socialites, the guys and girls that are seen at almost every party. A guest list is not a true guest list with out some of these names. So, why not honour these individuals with a list of the top 20 socialites or A-Listers (as I would like to call them). My list contains the top 20 of the “colourful” gentlemen whom a party ain’t a party without.

Since “MaBlerh’s List of A-List Colourful Socialites 2011″ is quiet a mouthful, I have resorted to call it “The Blerh List 2011″.

The criteria, before you ask, is

(a) the gentleman must not have an album or a show on TV,
 (b) he must be featured on guest lists of a wide array of events and
 (c) the gentleman must be known by other Jozi socialites.

Obviously, I’m at the top of the list but BS (buzz kill) would not let me include myself. In no particular order here they are:

1. Shekeshe Mokgosi – Brand Management Consultant

2. Linda Moeketsi – Artiste Manager (LSM)

3. Maque DeGorgeous – Fashion Blogger

4. Lucoh Mhlongo – Professional Make Up Artist

5. Vuyo Varoyi – Professional Make Up Artist

6. Vusi Zama – National Sales Manager

7. Vista Kalipa – Owner: On Point PR

8. Mika Stefano – Celebrity Blogger & Internet Radio DJ

9. Sydney Mekgwe – TV Insert Producer

10. Ngcebo Mdima – Assistant Director

11. Thulane Hadebe – Brand Manager

12. Olwethu Mlotshwa – Journalism Student

13. Xolani Ndlovu – XtraLargeTV Owner

14. Denis Phathudi – Insert Producer and Production Researcher

15. Sylvester Chauke – Marketing Manager

16. Linda Makhanya – Male Stylist

17. Andile Bhenya – Head of Production Wardrobe (TV)

18. Thami Kotlolo – Feather Awards Creator

19. Teboho Pheko – Fashion Buyer

20. Neo Kgolane – Sales and Marketing Manager

Congratulations to these fine gentlemen and we are planning a little soiree in their honour soon.

    Mablerh that’s a hot list. What’s so interesting about these socialites is that they all got their JOB on lock down. Maybe these are our positive gay role models.
