Revealed: Selimathunzi Top 5 Presenters

The Top 5 boys from the Selimathunzi Presenter Search have been revealed and they are:

Mndeni Ngcobo (22) from Cape Town;

Maverick Komisa (22) from Bloemfontein;

Lawrence Maleka (21) from Johannesburg;

Lunga Shabalala (21) from Pietermaritzburg;

Lungelo Sithole (24) from Durban.

Vote Lines Details

Voting lines will open immediately after the reveal of the Top 5 contenders during the show tonight and, viewers will have the opportunity to vote through their choice of contender.

The voting number is 33725 and votes are limited to 20 calls per cell phone. Free SMS’s do not apply. Calls will be charged at R1.50 per SMS. Voting codes for individual hopefuls are as stated below:

o Lawrence Maleka (SELI 1)

o Lungelo Sithole (SELI 2)

o Mndeni Ngcobo (SELI 3)

o Lunga Shabalala (SELI 4)

o Maverick Komisa (SELI 5)

The voting lines will remain open for a period of 2 weeks and the final results will be announced on Selimathunzi.

Do u guys remember someone told us when the auditions had just started that Lunga is the winner?
Please tell me someone remembers that? We hadn’t even seen his audition guys!!!
I hate this sooooo much because his already in the industry,why not give it to someone who really deserves it!

Hahahahahaha where did all the fags go? Ya neh, phela sekfike ama dhilozi models manje, they must move over lol… Won’t lie, looking forward to becoming a regular Seli watcher after this whole search. The auditions phase was really entertaining and funny and I’m sure they gained quite a good percentage of viewers.

Also, let’s commend Khanyi Mbau, her advise to those 5 gentlemen was on point, she spoke well and she really made sense, big ups to you Miss Mbau.

This got me out of silent blogville. Lets talk about Selimathunzi n this so called presenter search. On Friday April 10 a day b4 da first leg of da search in jozi I got a call frm sum1 informing me dat Lunga got da gig b4 da audition process kicked off. And apparently he was also tipped nt 2 audition in joburg bt his home town, i think dats coz jozi has mad talent lol. Seeing dat Brown Suga was judging da Durban leg öf da search can she pls confirm if he auditioned there? Coz knowing these people he probably didnt even set foot on either of da audition venues let alone stand on da line. I can confirm he didnt audition in jozi. And i think its disrespectful of sabc1 n selimathunzi 2want ppl 2vote knwing very well they have made their choice, its fraud infact

Here is the deal: Lunga with about 20 other people had a closed audition for the job. The judges liked him and what he had to offer. But then the channel decided to do a public talent search for the hype and also the money they got out of the whole exercise. Lunga then decided to go and audition in his home town.

XtraLarge, I saw Lunga’s audition when they showed the Durban leg on TV.

Ya I remember I asked Alexis about Lunga guy the Calvin Klein Model. Alexis answered me and said he got the job already auditions where a formality. Alexis answered me here on Just Curious. We’ll see if Alexis was being for real. Tjo I’d be shocked though.

He was such an entertainer and he used to call himself sisqo and would perfom as sisqo during the pageants @ school, lol it seems like so long ago! All I can say is that Lunga will be a bore to listen to, did you guys hear him mara izolo, I dont know whether ha a tsebe English or he is just too shy, but I had to mute each time avela. it is true that we had an original audition,befor we decided to go national.everyone that come to original audition was informed that they would have to re audition.the top5 were selected and now it is up to the viewers to vote.there is no ways that the production office can influence that vote.all five have an equal chance and at the end of the day the person with the most sms’s or votes.will be the new presenter.these sms’s are recorded and registered by sabc mobile.

You know this sucks big time! Lunga sounded like Leleti Khumalo did ko Generations, so uncomfortable. He looks the part but doesn’t sound it, i smell matrass if he got the job.

Can’t we take this to the public protector (If Alexis & Xtra are correct that is) cause People would have wasted their money under SABC/Seli’s false pretence. I hate how things never get resolved in SA. Remember the MTN competition thing ya sms tsa R7.50/sms about 2 years ago, it was riddled with fraud but we never heard anything after 2 days of the expose’.

Smh for people that are trying to make this blog not trashy you’re doing a horrible job. So the boy is an underwear model and might have been initially scouted for the job along with many others doesn’t mean you guys must make up such malicious stories about his sexuality THAT is trashy blogging as far as I know Lunga is straight and there is always so much negativity here why are you now using his achievment against him? The press release from Selimathunzi should actually give you a reason as to why this rumour does exist so sad that people are now not going to vote when they should. My opinion!

Maverick is definatly my winner the maturity with the guy and following his career. I think he is the best man for the job. The literature for just does wow nevermind the looks he is too yummy definatly the guy for my red capert.
