Congratulations Orlando Pirates

May 22, 2011 by

I don’t have much to say except, Congratulations Bucs, you deserved to win it and this comes from a Kaizer Chiefs supporter. With everything that Pirates has been through, the cup drought, remember the beautiful football we saw from them without anything to show for it (remember their time under Papic), Orlando Pirates needed this more than we did and yes, I’m sad that we couldn’t make it to the top spot but I’m happy for Pirates.

Ajax Cape Town have no one to blame for what happened but themselves. They messed up and it’s sad for the guys but hey… that’s how the cookie crumbles. As for Supersport United, they should be ashamed of their performance this season.. Finishing 7th is a disgrace, I hope this will wipe the arrogance of their coach’s face.

Goodbye to MP Black Aces, good luck to Vasco da Gama in the playoffs, welcome back to Jomo Cosmos and goodbye in advance for the end of the next season.

On that Pirates note: Can the PSL please dock 3 points for their fans’ behaviour?

They said it can’t be done…

    They quoted the past…

    They pulled out old stats…

CONGRATULATIONS to the Mighty BUCS – you held your nerves when it counted the most – and for that you are true CHAMPIONS.

    2 down – 1 to go…

(The pitch invasion was not cool at all – but fortunately it didn’t end badly)

    UP THE BUCS!

Shame man, the championship keeps eluding him….he left Supersport for Pirates, and they won the league….and now the same happens with Pirates.

    Congratulations Pirates!

What a day on saturday, what a way to decide the PSL champion, wish all seasons could end like this…no dull moment, exciting soccer, competitive, goals in abundance…

all the big guys, Marawa, Happy Ntshingila were in Cape Town thinking Ajax had won…and I was happy for that young commentator dude who got a chance to shine in Marawa’s absence, he did a stellar job..

    Eish KZN teams disappoint me.

  19. Mathaz on Mon, 23rd May 2011 9:03 am

Shem Baroka Chips thought they had a chance of winning….I am sure Robert Marawa was kicking himself for being in Cape Town. What a superb finale and now for the Nedbank Cup #operation teka hinkwaswo continues….

Well done to the boys especially you, Andile Jali…

Ok, now that’s out of the way I just wanna say big up to Krolination, and the boys, especially Happy Jele and Rooi Mahamutsa who were so solid at the back.

Big up as well to Andile Jali. if he remains focus and humble, that boy is destined for greater things.

A special mention to Isaac Chansa for those rare but very appreciated long range goals.

To Mark Mayambela for always being a super sub, hope you get more starts next season.

And I strongly believe ukuthi u Bongani Ndulula is the striker we’ve been longing for. He just needs some grooming and he could come close to being the next Lesley Manyathela.

    :-D :-D :-D

Just let it go already… Orlando Pirates = MTN + PSL CHAMPIONS

Now back to Chairman Irvin Khoza : Do the right thing and keep Krol and Rosslee for the next 3 seasons. With so much pressure off Pirates I believe they can be able complement the winning mentality with the “stylish football” that the fans seem to always demand.

Congratulations to all Buccaneers. I hope the real trophy has been flown from Cape town to Johannesburg.

LOL stop sipping on that jealousy juice…kwa kwa kwa

@ Peachy as a khosy fan you’re the last person to start criticising pirates fans for their behaviour.

Need I remind you about the cabbage throwing incidents, the breaking of stadium chairs incidents, the number of times Chiefs have been fined by the PSL for the behaviour of their supporters.

So ja, lets not throw stones if we also live in glass house#justsaying.

  31. posh on Mon, 23rd May 2011 11:00 am

What do you think of broadcasters, SABC and Supersport, I think they did a superb job and were well prepared…everytime a goal was scored they’ll put up an updated log table and kept on crossing over to other matches and showed how other teams have scored goals…

  32. Vesa on Mon, 23rd May 2011 11:09 am

@posh…..that was too awesome! Supersport always does that during the games, and I was glad SABC also caught onto that

  33. kakapana on Mon, 23rd May 2011 11:13 am

I dont watch SABC sport so I wouldnt know but Supersport lived up to expectation as always.

I was so impressed with Kamza, shame he worked his ass off, interviewing the coach, players and fans.

Congrats BURCANEERS. Truth is Chiefs couldnt careless about the PSL tittle but as soon as they realized Pirates was in it to win, they started the race(a lil too late). I was watching the game with my niece and uncle who are both Chiefs and lol their hopes were on Ajax to win so that pirates wont take the leauge. Yah neh at the end the best and most deserving team won.
