Wanna Be A House DJ?

If you believe you’ve got what it takes to knock the biggest names in House music off the top-of-the-charts, then now’s your chance!

Channel O, the Original.African channel, has again come up with a cool way to get you noticed if you have any aspirations of becoming South Africa’s next big House DJ and producer!

They are looking for the ultimate total package, a House music producing maestro who is also skilled enough to perform his/her chart-topping tracks. It’s a competition titled Think You Can Do Better? and it’s calling on all wannabe stars to enter their originally produced song that they believe can stand up against the best tracks and talent currently making an impact on the House music scene.

The prize for the winning original track includes being featured on the Channel O – Think You Can Do Better CD and DVD compilation, due for release in September 2011. This means being heard on the dopest double-disc House Compilation ever – as well as being in the company of past, current and future House music stars.

The winning DJ and producer will have a music video fully paid for by Channel O, which is set to change the face of House music videos to date.

With its Think You Can Do Better? competition, Channel O is giving South African DJs and producers a career-launching opportunity of a lifetime. All it takes is to get creative, and then email or post your original demo – the track needs to be your own work and not an existing song – and you could be headed to the big time.

Post or drop off your original demo and profile on disc to 137 Braam Fischer Drive, M-Net Magic Center Reception, Randburg or email it to channelo@mnet.co.za. Emailed original demos and profiles should not be bigger than 3MB. Entries open today and close Friday 26 August 2011.
