Shout Out To These Stars

I am addicted to Television. Be it movies, sitcoms or series,  if it grabs my attention then I will stay hooked. I am one of those people that pays attention to a show because it stars so and so. For example if it has Tupac Shakur, Morris Chestnut, Vivica Fox, Martin Lawrence, Gabrielle Union, Janet Jackson, Chris Tucker, Denzel Washington, Ky-Mani Marley,Terence Howard or Larenz Tate then trust me I HAVE IT. The only problem with the acting industry is that we focus more on the ‘leads’ and hardly take note or pay attention to the supporting acts.

While watching DVDs at home, I thought of coming up with a list of those hot International Celebs that we sometimes forget to add to our chats/convos when we talk about the Nias, Halles, Tayes, Gabrielles.  Most, if not all of the people on this list have been in the game for more than a decade and have appeared in a lot of movies and TV series.

In no particular order.. Here is MY list of the not so in your face hot BODIES of actors & actresses.

Elise Neal:

This lady grabbed my attention when she played Chris Tucker’s woman in Money Talks. There is a scene where she is wearing a denim bum short and a smalinyana top. Lawwwwd the hotness there?  She also stared as Tia in the comedy All Of Us.

Kimberly Elise:  

I know some people always say Kim is not ‘that beautiful’ but the fact is she has a body to die for. Her debut was on Set It Off as TT. Her body shines on Diary Of A Mad Black Woman. The part where she is wearing a long floral dress and she is walking with Shemar Moore and the song (What If God Was One Of Us) is playing in the background? Her body shows every curve and what I admire the most is that she is not the skinny kinda woman but still she oozes sex appeal. She is in shape.

Lisa Raye:

The curves that Lisa has?? She always looks good in anything. I fell in love with her body when she stared kwi Players Club. She works it more playing Neesee on All Of Us as Duane Martin’s ex wife.

Persia White

She played Leanne in Stalled. Girlfriends the sitcom she played Lynn and she is also in Kiss The Bridge which is one of my favorites.

Regina Hall:

You will remember her as the hot Stripper (candy) in The Best Man & also King’s Ransom as Peeches. She is/was rumoured to be dating Damian Wayans.

Gina Ravera:

Hehehe this is actually the woman that made me come up with this list. I was watching Soul Food the movie just the other day and realised just how hot she was on there. She played the troublesome cousin Faith. Who can forget that sex scene of hers with Miles? In the TV series The Closer she plays Detective Irene Daniels. To think she is in her mid 40s now? Still looks ‘fresh’.

Roselyn Sanchez:

Yazi this lady sometimes reminds me of Nicole from Pussycat Dolls or even Lisa Raye who is also on this list. They kinda look alike. Well Roselyn made me ‘look at her’ in the movie Rush Hour 2 as the undercover cop Isabella. Yummy!!

Michael Jai White

He played  Angela’s hubby Marcus in Why Did I Get Married? Ladies, this guy has a black belt in 7 karate styles. He is the same guy that appeared in Nicki Minaj’s video ‘Your Love’. Those arms neh??

Michael Ealy:

 

 

When we talk about being in love with a bad boy..this is the guy. He is the bully/bastard in For Coloured Girls that abuses his wife played by Kimberly Elise and ends up killing his own kids. I fell in love with him kwi Barbershop where he played Ricky. And yes,he is the leading guy in Beyonce’s video HALO. *sweats*

Darrin Dewitt Hanson:

I HAD to use this pic shem. Look @ that hotness. He played Lem in Soulfood the Tv series and was Michael (Vivica Fox’s man) kwi The Salon. My current fav is his latest offering The Ideal Husband where he plays Devin. I know I love my men yellow but this neh? We can definitely have a meeting or 2. *coughs*

Jason Winston George:

Eish jah neh? This guy played Eve’s man in the movie Barbershop as Kevin & the Eve sitcom as JT. He is also kwi Three Can Play That Game.

Khalil Kain

His debut was in Juice as Raheem along side Tupac Shakur. Yes,he is the one Bishop (Pac) shot. He is famous for his role as Maya’s hubby Darnell in Girlfriends. Pity his role as that rapist Bill kwi For Coloured Girls doesn’t do him justice.

Lamman Rucker:

I didn’t know about this guy until I watched Why Did I get Married? I fell for him immediately. Remember him as Sheriff Troy? Damn,a man in uniform neh? He is also in the movies I’m Through With White Girls and Meet The Browns.

Well, I know they are a whole lot of them so feel free to remind us of the ones that come to your minds and their outstanding scenes. I tried to think of doing a local list and I realised that our industry is way too small. Maybe next time.

    Michael Ealy lana looks a bit like Donald the muso neh (he sang on Rhythm City a couple of times). He is good naye, even uTroy is a good actor out of nowhere nje.

    I also think Kevin Phillips should be in the list. He starred along side Terrence Howard in the movie Pride.
