Unusual Encounter: Sthe Smells A Rat

August 16, 2011 by

Continued from Part 1 - Josh Meets Sthe :

News of Noku dating this charming fellow started to spread like wild fire. She would gloat about all his best attributes and share them with us. Josh managed to keep his act clean. For a whole year he never left a trail; always cleaned up after himself. The two girls never knew that they were sharing a man.

Equally, news that Sthe had gotten back with her man started to spread amongst her family and her very few friends. She seemed happy and her relationship with Noku remained. Sthe shared very little about her personal life, yet Noku spared no details. In all this exchange, the two sisters never suspected anything amiss.

Well, that was until Josh slipped up one morning. During one of his conversations with Sthe, he absentmindedly referred to an experience he had shared with Noku, thinking that it was Sthe with whom he had shared it.

Confused, Sthe looks at him and asks him to repeat himself. His senses return and he quickly remembers his gaffe and slyly shifts conversation away from it. For the sake of peace, Sthe stores this encounter in hindsight and moves along with the conversation.

That morning, they made love. Skilled with his tongue and experienced with his pelvic thrusts, Josh took Sthe to a place she called “paradise.” He had done to her things that no man has ever done. With him, she enjoyed marathon sessions she never thought possible. He was tireless, skilled, experienced and adventurous. A slight stroke of his tongue in her womanhood was enough to send her to the wilderness and heaven all at the same time. She was content and had forgotten all about his mishaps.

It was only that same evening that her senses were jolted back to memory. Josh had received a phone call, after which he acted strangely. She began to suspect that he was up to something. She recalled the funny conversation they had earlier that day and slowly began to rage inside. When he dozed off that night, she stole his phone from beside his head and slipped into the bathroom. Like a mad woman, she went through his phone book and text messages.

There, all laid out in front of her was the confirmation she needed: Sexually explicit messages from different numbers listed either under “Babe”, “Ma Girl” or “Dawg”. It must have been the last one that got her shaking. It was a message from “Ma Girl” but at the end of the message it was signed, “Your girl, Noku.” She instantly remembered the stories Noku shared with her and how she’d described the sexual experiences she had with her new man. And it clicked, Noku must’ve been talking about Josh. It all began to make sense to her and certainly that message confirmed it.

Not finding anything she could use as a weapon, she dipped a towel in cold water and stormed out of the bathroom. Without saying a word, she forcefully smacked the wet towel across Josh’s face and yelled out, “You son of a bitch!” Feeling the pangs of pain, he shot up from bed and launched towards the incontrollable Sthe. She ducked his hands and banged her head on his stomach, which caused him to fall back towards the bed and then she started throwing things at him and continued to shout every obscenity she could manage.

She then collected her things and stormed out of his place. Still mad with rage, she pulled out her phone and called her half-sister. The only word Noku managed to say was the initial “Hello.” At the sound of her voice, Sthe screamed at the top of her lungs, calling her a “skanky man-stealing whore who should die of AIDS.”

It was only at the end of their indecent exchange of words that Noku managed to piece it together that she and Sthe were sharing the same man all along. It was Josh that Sthe had been seeing and she also now remembered why Josh looked familiar. He was the guy that Sthe had shared a ciggie with outside the mall.

She was now in a conundrum. She was helplessly inlove with Josh, especially loved his skills in the sack. Her relationship with Sthe was not so close anyway. “So, I could continue to see him if I wanted to. It’s not my fault that he decided to leave her. She’s not his type anyway,” she convinced herself.

Indeed Noku continued to see Josh, despite his philandering ways. She did however confront him about the Sthe situation and he sweet-talked his way out of it and managed to paint Sthe as a lunatic, which was easy for Noku to accept as truth.

Noku was the kind of girl who struggled with her self-esteem. Only material possessions and men boosted her ego and of course those sometimes-solicited compliments from her close friend, Sanele. It was only with Sanele that she shared what Josh done. She told him, “I’m sorry but Josh is like the man of my dreams. He understands me. It’s like he reads my mind and knows how to please me. So, I’m not gonna leave him just because he had a minor screw up with Sthe.”

Not wanting to hurt her feelings, Sanele generally agreed with everything Noku said. So this case was definitely no exception. He sided with her and fed her ego and so Noku saw no wrong in her relationship with Josh. She laboured over their relationship and Josh also paid her more attention and often visited.

It was during one of his visits that he finally got to meet Noku’s best friend, Sanele. They were hanging out in her room playing games and drinking. And this was the encounter that sparked the chemical energy between Josh and Sanele. Josh underplayed it and Sanele didn’t want to think much of it. He resorted to feeling that his mind was playing tricks on him. Josh only regarded him as an acquaintance and Noku’s friend.

Since that night, Josh frequented Noku’s place and would sometimes suggest that she calls Sanele over so they could all hang out. She thought his gesture to be lovely. She loved that he was showing more interest in her life and her friend. “He’s not like the other guys. He’s the one for me,” she told Sanele.

Little did she know that Josh had ulterior motives. The rat that Sthe had smelled earlier has now reared its stinky, ugly head.

@RexonaABC My love I’m sorry to burst your bubble. but we’ve (women, izitabane, ama-twin-plugs) always shared men, it’s just that women didn’t know about this or like MANY, they were in denial about this. You must just embrace the fact that human sexuality is colourful, and it comes in varying shades / degrees. #RealityCheck

You find people who are attracted exclusively to people of opposite sex or the same sex, but MOST people fall w/in this dual sensual attraction continuum (bisexual / twin-plugs), but many often deny these feelings especially so-called hetero-inclined kind. The are two type of bisexual people:

    (a) Those that are attracted more towards people of the opposite sex w/ the ability to enjoy same sex liaisons.

    (b) There are those that are attracted more towards the same sex w/ the ability to enjoy opposite sexual liaisons, I fall w/in this category.

    Advise to women #JBS #NuWorldOrder

@JoneighGALAXY, hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Now i am shaking, plz i am just curious, do gay/bisexuals use condoms with other men?
@snapshot, what did you do after finding out? Some time back, I was listening to one radio programme, and one woman called in crying, saying she doesn’t know what to do. Apparently her husband was bi, and used to bring one boy at their house or drive around with him. Little did she know that, her hubby was in a relationship with that boy.

@RexonaABC Well in depends hey. From my experiences w/ lots of these bi / gay men that I’ve had relationships and flings w/, a lot don’t use caution. I know that it should be a given / expected norm for us to use caution all the time, but that doesn’t happen all the time. That why the HIV / AIDS infections w/ the bi / gay men’s community are spiraling out of control. Because many of these men (bi / gay) are deeply closeted, they prefer having convenient sex (w/ different partners @ different times). We don’t invest in condoms most of the time, myself included. *SMH*

A anonymous study (participants were asked to be anonymous when doing the medical tests) was conducted in Soweto a few years ago to gauge the extent of STI infections w/in the bi / gay men’s community in the townships. What they found alarming was that many of these men didn’t know that they were infected. Bear in mind that statistics aren’t the only truthful measure of such occurrences so view them w/ an open mind. Here’s a link:

Thanks EnVeeKay for the novel, please keep them coming hle, month break inbetween is not doing anyone any good : )

Hei Kunzima indeed emhlabeni. JG, the information on that link iyathusa. They have to find a cure for AIDS pretty quickly. 1 in 3 Sowetan guys are positive… i wonder how does this translate to other kasis. People need to wake up and take care of themselves regardless of sexual orientation. Kusho abo Intersexions had little impact hey. Imagine just in Soweto how many women are dating gay/bi-ntonton guys, and how does that affect their sexual health? Ku ruff!

  21. Dark8lord on Tue, 16th Aug 2011 4:36 pm

Maybe this is why my freinds who are girls keep their Boyfriends as FAR as possible from me. you’d swear women have a rule that says
“keep your gay friend a away from your boyfriend”
