Analogue Nites Experience

October 17, 2011 by

A little delayed but a week or so ago, I went to Analogue Nites eMelrose Atchaar with  my Khaphela for the day. When we got there, story of my life ubaba uGatsheni was not on the guest list AGAIN. I called the boss lady, everything was sorted, the publicist apologized but didn’t even offer free drinks ja ne.

It was my first time at Analogue Nites, great concept I must say but the venue is too small. Kuyashisa ngaphakathi, we had to go outside a couple of times to get air and the place was packed .

The perfomances for the day were Flash Republic, Liquideep and Micasa, live band baba hayi manga manga business to perfom over backing tracks. The DJ who was playing there yena, the less I write about him the better! Can you spell AMAHASHI .

First on stage was Flash Republic. I’m not a big fan of white music, no I’m not a racist. Damn they killed their performance. They are now my favourite SA white band. Tamara Dey’s bandmates are my heroes, they were drinking Peroni while perfoming. I mentioning the liquor brand because they are the event sponsors.

Next on stage was Liquideep. LL Cool Z (Ladies Love Cool Zion). The moment he stepped on stage ,they started screaming. Dineo Moeketsi ne skeem sakhe Weza and Hanni from BBA were screaming their lungs out. Weza has a hot body. Liquideep performed their new song, it’s dope but I have forgotten the title, beseng’dakiwe.

Micasa were the last to hit the stage, we waited about 30 minutes for them while they were doing sound check ..Ja ne only in SA. Some people left while they were still doing their sound check. When they finally hit the stage it was worth the wait, though. That white boy can sing, they gave a great perfomance.

I asked God for an iPhone as a present on my birthday and I found an iPhone at the toilets but I returned it to the owner the next day. You see izidakwa are not bad at all. I had fun .

SPOTTED AT THE EVENT

Phat Joe, Dineo Moeketsi ,Weza, Hanni (BBA) ,Katlego Danke, Linda Moeketsi and Shakes.

Apologies for the lack of the pictures, we were told they’d be sent, we’re still waiting.

    Hello everyone *waves*…

Can I just say that this article/blog is horribly written. Like no effort was put into it. It’s here, there, everywhere – all at once. Nothing blends and it’s just lazy nje. The writer could’ve done better. And I say all this with the utmost respect.

Thank you for sharing though. Goodluck on getting that iPhone.
