First Thoughts: Kabelo’s Immortal Vol. 1
November 7, 2011 by Toniice
Last week I took iBenz yase femini (company car ), drove all the way to Sandton Yamaha with my Khaphela to Kabelo Mabalane’s listening session. When we got there I saw a lot of new KIA RIOs parked outside . We got in sagawula, we were then given keys to the new RIO. The car is sleek.

I have to give it to Dream Team , these guys are smart. They put Kabelo’s CD on the front loader and made us listen to his music on our trip to Lesedi Cultural Village.

We listened to the CD on our way there. WOW ipantsula libuyile.
The first song on the CD is The One Who Saves Me featuring RJ Benjamin, it’s a nice song but there’s nothing special about it. I guess it will grow on me.
Can’t Kill Me Now and Amapantsula Ajabulile made being stuck in traffic fun . Kabelo brought back that old skool kwaito feel . If you thought Amapantsula Ajabulile was dope you haven’t heard the great music on this album. This is Kabelo’s best work to date.
It’s not a kwaito album. It’s a cross-over album because he featured artists that your typical kwaito artist will not feature. On this album he featured RJ Benjamin, Proffesor, Real Black Pearl, Lungi Naaidoo, Danny K, AKA, The Parlotones and GT.
The songs that got my attention are Ice Cream Soda, Generation X2Y, Bouga Ngiyakuthanda and I Got My People. This is a really good album and it’s worth every cent. Kabelo has grown as an artist and businessman, his vision is beyond ekasi. I’m proud of ipantsula coz he’s attracting corporates and is now being endorsed by KIA Motors.
I had a chat with him, he’s very happy with his deal. The new RIO is hot too.
Dear KIA I wouldn’t mind that toroza nami.

I had lost all hope in kwaito until I heard that mapuntsula ajabulile track on radio. I can’t wait to hear the whole album.
Nice one with the Kia endorsement shem, this man I a hussler.
Is this the same dreamteam that handles Nonclaire’s pr? Why aren’t they doing the same good pr for her instead of letting her commit career suicide so?

Once saw him in Sunninghill driving a very odd looking kia …which led to a humourous discussion as to whether why was he driving such a car..a friend of mine went as far as saying “U kabelo is now a man of the cloth he is no longer materialistic little did we know zi endorsements”…like this kia though and totally love his music…heyi nanku umuntu uyachisa shem
