In Zahara News…

April 16, 2012 by

A lot has been said about the allegations against TS Records that they are ripping off Zahara. TK Nciza and her wife Nhlanhla are accused of treating Zaraha like their mad because she lives with them and is expected to do chores.
Well, if someone stayed in my house I’d expect them to help with household chores shem, celebrity of nie.

Anyway, sunday world says the claims come from Zahara’s family who are saying that TK promised to buy them a farm, buy Zahara a house and 2 cars! One for JHb and one for when she’s in the eastern cape. Hayi a farm and 2 cars? Hard to believe.

Zahara has spoken out defending the Ncizas and saying the allegations aren’t true.

She isn’t ready to buy a car/house, she doesn’t wanna splash out on those just yet because she has seen people go broke in the industry and doesn’t wanna follow in their footsteps.

I personally don’t think we should rush her to go out on her own, she has just come into money, so she needs help and education in handling it all because if she’s not ready, Lord knows what vultures she will come across in Johannesburg. This place ain’t friendly and at least now that these allegations have come out, TS Records will be under pressure to make sure they do her right, coz we are watching.

These allegations aren’t shocking though, because when Zahara first came out , a lot of people spoke and said they hoped TS Records (who have a bit of a reputation) would not exploit her.

For now, Zahara says she’s happy living with the Nciza’s, she’s in no rush to get a car because she doesn’t have a driver’s licence yet.

Whether or not we believe she’s being ripped off, we can’t do anything about it. So let her be, it’s her journey.

P.S. When I saw the Sunday World report that Zahara sold 50 000 copies, I wondered what other inaccuracies are in there.

I think as much we’d like to think u Zahara ngu nolali olele she’s an old woman who can make decisions for herself without us meddling into her business.
She doesn’t have a drivers licence tho? Tjo SMH

  4. Fluffie on Mon, 16th Apr 2012 12:58 pm

    Finally BS!

I think what the newspaper wrote not entirely correct!
Sbu didn’t say much on Twitter and this will be really bad for TS Records nje!
But Zahara doesn’t even have a licence? I was gona say even if ke she’s living with them etc but I think she would like to have her own car. Are they encouraging her to be better or they are happy that she’s depending on them?
Leaves a lot of questions shem! I hope they are wrong Zahara!

@Lustagp, that makes soo much sense.most of us dont know half the story but we are quick to judge (myself included)

  12. hlengzzz on Mon, 16th Apr 2012 1:15 pm

To those who listened to the radio interview: did uZahara reprimand her siblings coz they are the ones making these allegations? Or is it a case of Sunday World making up the sources as well…(wouldn’t put it past them)

    Highly Confused, GP

  13. Jahara on Mon, 16th Apr 2012 1:25 pm

For 2yrs she lived with the Ncizas when she was a nobody….then why didn’t they advise her in all those 2yrs to get a driver’s lincence coz obviously they knew they were groomin a star in her? They knew(or atleast hoped)that she was gonna be famous and so she’d have to be able to transport herself from A to Z.

  14. vundlas on Mon, 16th Apr 2012 1:27 pm

Is quite difficult for any of us including SW to come to the conclution that Zahara is been ripped off by TS records, when we dont know the contents of her contract with TS records.

If she is happy with their setup who are we to complain, what is interesting is that by defending TS records, she is actually saying her family are lying and manufacturing this lies..

  15. Jahara on Mon, 16th Apr 2012 1:31 pm

And in those 2yrs why didn’t they give her some educational workshops on how to handle money and everything else in the industry? Surely if they did she wouldn’t be fearful(or wateva it is)of moving out & standing on her own 2 feet…!?!

Sentle-sentle nna I need to know, what did she do in all those 2yrs??? Nothing? Just sitting at home & waiting for the Ncizas, just like her guitar?

  16. fabulicious on Mon, 16th Apr 2012 1:32 pm

So does this mean uZahara akanayo ne learners le?
Something is fishy vele in this story.

Siphokazi is also unolali mos,she made it big 6months after she was driving around in a 1series, flashy car yes but then she cud afford it and it took her from A to B, what abt Zahara? K this is not fair,as for the rest of the story I’ll shurrup

  17. Jahara on Mon, 16th Apr 2012 1:40 pm

Yaaa…kogore Zahara is saying her siblings are liars…lol. Haai, mara le bone,2 cars and a farm? Hehehehe….and they fell for it? Lol…

  20. siya on Mon, 16th Apr 2012 1:41 pm

Jahara, Zahara isa grown ass woman, yena ke ngokwakhe didnt she think ukuthi kumele enze i drivers license, or get some education about the industry to avoid being exploited, phela asikhulumi ngenga ena 12 years lana sikhuluma ngomuntu omdala, if Zahara wanted to get a lisence ngabe unaye sikhuluma nje,

  21. Maka-Khanya on Mon, 16th Apr 2012 1:42 pm

Hay maan uZahara ebeshwaqa nje yonke into ekuseni. She uthi She’s been a good kid to her parents, who asked her that?she also said, she thinks her siblings had a misunderstanding of what was said or promised to her family, yada yada, where ther;s smoke there is fire ke shame

  22. Lustagp on Mon, 16th Apr 2012 1:42 pm

this ZAHARA thing is a stunt just to shake her and her managemnt by SW..for what I have no clue…

if you go on the the SW website

    http://www.sundayworld.co.za/news/2012/04/15/zahara-s-their-maid—sisters-believe-nciza-is-ripping-her-off#3

Theres a pic of her mum standing outside the house ..check far left…theres a house..its kinda freshly build ..its quite beautifull..the mkhukhu is where they used to stay before zaharas dad built them a house …she did say this on an interviwe done by mablerh..check it out on youtube…

so now the bloody attention seeker of a sister she has ,wants paving done in the yard coz she suddenly has a car …
zahara fitted a kitchen unit and wardrobes for them we all know kitchen units dont come less than R20k…

  25. Smang-mang Warona on Mon, 16th Apr 2012 1:52 pm

All I can say I know someone who lives with one of the band members in Zahara’s band and not all of this SW story is lies. The amount that Sbu takes as commission on Zahara’s performance fee as her manager or whatever.. hmmmmm *silence* Maybe that’s how they do it in entertainment I don’t know.. That said, Sbu, TK and TS records are leopards – never going to change their spots..

Either way, whether they are ripping her off or not will come out either two years from now or five years.. the truth will come out

  26. manny on Mon, 16th Apr 2012 1:58 pm

@siya….i drivers licence does what ? doesnt mean a damn thing ….and people buy them all the time ..licence hase honours degree…yithi laba solokhu saba nama licence many years ago..kodwa moto dololo#embarassed ..mara i licence means niks

  27. vundlas on Mon, 16th Apr 2012 2:04 pm

I remmeber when Sbu announced on Radio that he bought a new car, they (with Tbo touch) and others will be driving in a convoy to cape town for the new years celebrations.

In the back of my mind,I just thought even Zahara must be driving a decent car as well.

If bo Sbu and TK can have cars now why not her?A car is not a luxury but a need,so everytime she wants to move must wait for a ride cum on.

  28. siya on Mon, 16th Apr 2012 2:10 pm

hhay although i TS might not be totaly innocent here, but i SW is known for fabricating stories( just saying) and if bethu u Zahara uyi maid do they mean kumele ahlale nje avuke angenzi nto just because sekayi Celeb? hell no if uhlala kwam uzocleana nje qha. as for u no sisi ofuna i paving, i think uzifunela i paving for her new car nje kwaaaaaaaaaaa hhay angaz othi ngithule.

  29. BlindFold on Mon, 16th Apr 2012 2:11 pm

Zahara is no longer a girl, she is a young women and i bet she needs her freedom and space, somethings are just basic necessity ie a car and house. She should stop defending these people and use this opportunity to demand what is hers. Who is she kidding here, haibo!

  30. siya on Mon, 16th Apr 2012 2:15 pm

Vundla, if she wants a car she must get a lisence KWAAAAAAAAAAA or leaners nyana ke, shem skepsel.

  31. Ntombi Yomzulu on Mon, 16th Apr 2012 2:15 pm

But guys to be honest we all know that a car is a necessity especially here in Joburg especially if uyiCeleb. Abo Sbu bought cars for themselves abasamthengeli ngisho iPicanto nje so that she can be able to move around without depending on them for Transport. I think the Nciza’s enjoy ukuthi uZahara abakhothe ishlama*excusemyfrench* it gives them some sort of power nje. Sphokazi when she started to make it big waqala nge Yaris then bought herself a house then after a while she bought herself i1series that shows independency and responsibility. Doesnt Zahara want to have her own things and be independent. If the Nciza’s are really helping why bangamu-Advis(e) umtana bantu and mentor her. She will depend on them till when? By the time evuka emaqandeni imali izobe isiphelile. Ubhayzane lengane

  32. siya on Mon, 16th Apr 2012 2:17 pm

heheheh nam ngisho loko blindfold, she must demand what`s hers and stop being unothithibala wase lalini, kuse Goli la,

  33. inURdreams on Mon, 16th Apr 2012 2:21 pm

Personally I believe where there’s smoke there is fire. Contracts are very difficult to figure out even for educated people so I don’t blame Zahara for here ignorance in this matter. I just think her success and lifestyle don’t add up. I mean who squats for 2 years seriously. Zahara has not grown nje streetwise and I think that’s a strategic move on her manager’s side they its like they want to keep her ridiclously hummble so that she forgets that she’s the real talent of the show. Mna I think this girl needs to wake up and realise she’s the goose that lays the golden egg and that’s the end of the story.Zahara singabaXhosa we go to Joburg to go strike it rich and make sure we improve ourselves and to a greater extent the quality of life for our parents back home. There is absolutly no reason why you are squatting with your boss and living the say lifestyle you had before you struck it rich.

  34. siya on Mon, 16th Apr 2012 2:21 pm

hhahaha @ntombiyomzulu uthi ubenza ubakhotha ishlama? kkwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa phelile mina yinsini.

  35. Jahara on Mon, 16th Apr 2012 2:29 pm

No no no @lusta,I refuse to believe that she was writing her songs for 2yrs. & if u remember one of her debut interviews she said she wrote those songs long before she got famous, that she used to sing them locally at her hometown. So that ish of ‘she was writing songs’ is out. N she needs a licence to be able to drive herself around, even if she doesn’t have a car, they will borrow her one of theirs since she is so hellbent on dependin on them!

  36. Lustagp on Mon, 16th Apr 2012 2:37 pm

making an album i said- Jahara, so who is stopping Zahara into making a car licence mhlawumbi??? Sbu or TK?? heheheh!
2years of grooming the girl into the music industry, to be able to deal with fake Journo’s like SW’s ones!!

  37. Lela on Mon, 16th Apr 2012 2:43 pm

Let me go copy and paste all my commets from TVSA.

  38. siya on Mon, 16th Apr 2012 2:44 pm

    how old is Zahara kanene??

if ufuna imoto akayokwenza i license, then buy a car bakithi kanti why siloku sigida gida entweni eyodwa?

  39. Lela on Mon, 16th Apr 2012 2:44 pm

Zahara is not being ripped off. If TS is to rip Zahara they will do it on a contractual base not on making her their maid and staying with them, that is Zahara’s choice and NO she is not brainwashed to say this because whe she told me the same thing six months ago TK was not there and no one was telling her what to say. From what she told me all I can say she is a girl with her plan and her family is just being a typical black family, as long as useGoli unemali and even worse when you are a musician. They are just ignorant.

Sphokazi did exactly the same thing as Zahara, she used public transport(cabs) for a long time when she was already being celebrated all over , she then did her licence and bought a 1Series cash and a house in Midrand cash, as well as top of the range furnisher cash.

Not everyone in the music industry will live according to people’s expectations and standards. I am not saying TS is not in any way cheating her, like any record company they may be doing that but that will be suttle and part of her contract based on percentages. She only got her millions last two weeks and that is a fact that you can call EMI and ask. Tjo hayi people like exagerating yho!

  40. Lela on Mon, 16th Apr 2012 2:45 pm

From my little knowledge of the industry, the artist is payed based on agreed percentages. I didn’t know that the contracts now build houses and do pavings, that is new to me. If the family says Zahara has no cntract so what then entitles them to a house built by TS and a paving? TS has absolutely no obligation to do shit for that family, if TK did promise them anything it could have been based on the relationship they built with Zahara over the months. Typical greedy, jelous sister goin on about she only fitted cupboards, that’s what she could afford, so what?

  41. Ntombi Yomzulu on Mon, 16th Apr 2012 2:45 pm

Kanti inqondo yalentombazane ilelephi cela ukubuza, why ifuna ukucatshangelwa. She is not streetmart lentombazane iyinyoni nje. I wonder if it is really true ukuth akanayo icopy of her contract as per SW. If kuyiqiniso lokho uyisidomu sokugcina, even if you do not understand icontract you need to keep a copy yecontract yakhe. Does this mean she does not know what she signed up for why angabuzi? Im so confused right now.

  42. Lela on Mon, 16th Apr 2012 2:46 pm

Hayi guys let us not be impossible Zahara will do what she can for her family and when she can.
I have been working for 5 years and at home they are still using a pit toilet, you know why because imali endiyirholayo yanele mna neentsana zam.

  43. cherries on Mon, 16th Apr 2012 2:59 pm

@Siya I fully agree with u!! According to @princesskatlee on twitter Zahara just got her learners, so I guess she is working on her licence..

But do we expect Zahara to move out of kwaNciza @the 1st sight of money, rent an apartment & live the pretentious Jozi life? Why not give her the chance to do things her way?! Kahle kahle singenaphi tsine in her financial issues?

Her sister yena she must stop being isidli, and work for those things if she wants her parents to have them- even though I believe Sunday World is misrepresenting her in some way..

  44. Letebele on Mon, 16th Apr 2012 3:02 pm

Ok. SW exaggerates all the time,we know that. Kodwa where there’s smoke there’s fire.

Zahara had to stay with the Nciza’s when she first came to Jhb coz they had no other option. TS was on the verge of bankruptcy,we know that. Sbu left TK with the mess and TK discovered a talent that saved the company.TK has single handedly saved TS records and as usual,Sbu took the credit when he saw a gap and remixed Lengoma. Sbu was now active and took Zahara to all his interviews. As usual,TK was in the background coz its not about fame to him. That man is hard working. That means hussles everyday for his artists.

So for me as someone in the industry,I’m two sided by all of this. Zahara’s Loliwe did well last year and royalties for last year’s cd sales were paid out in Jan. In all honesty, the money Zahara would have gotten from cd sales is not much, that’s a fact! CD sales do nothing for an artist coz she probably gets between 10-12% of the income, after deductions of packaging and distribution is deducted.

Zahara might have been the one artist who performed at all these major festivals around the country BUT it does not necessarily mean TS got anything from the promoters. All well organised festivals finalise their line ups months before the actual show and that means the budget to add another artist is not there. So TK negotiates that the promoter pays the band and Zahara as well as TS don’t make anything from that particular show. All in the name of ensuring that the artist is accessible to some of the biggest crowds.

    My 25cents worth:-)

zahara being interviewed on metro, hai poor child, but why is tk with her

  58. Lela on Mon, 16th Apr 2012 4:27 pm

So Letebele are you trying to say that Nhlanhla and TK have kidnapped Zahara, if it is her choice we have no right to question it, same with how and when she decides to use her money. I personally spoke to Zahara 6 months ago and asked her these questions and her answers reminded me of Sphokazi and left me saying I just hope she can really be like Sphokazi and not be fazed by all these talks. Belive me as someone in the industry u should know vele ngeke bangakudli but that is usually in the contract percantages not ukuthi they can take all your millions and keep u as their maid, please people. She also told me that even when she does buy a car and a house she will buy what she wants not what people expect.Next we will be saying why is she driving a corolla when Sbu is driving a Range Rover. She wants to invest her money and do other things that wise girls like aboo Sphokazi did. Sphokazi even bought a Quantum fr her band and all that cash. And now that Sphokazi is not really getting a lot of gigs anymore, how is he surviving, by her wisdom! Tomorrow we will be the same ones saying artists don’t plan they live beyond their means when inini ababafaka ipressure. Yes Sbu and TK have a reputation but they are not doing anything that other record companies don’t do. Vele umuntu uyadliwa kule industry but udliwa eyenza imali if ewise.

im not apologetic though about what i said althoughif it came out as insensitive i apologise!…… I wouldnt care less nana atleast not from a woman like you. I grew up using pit toilet daily and i turned out just fine, my kids use it only for a few days. If you lived in the real world u would know that it does not work like that ezilalini, you cannot just put a flushing toilet, izowakhiphela kuphi lawomasimba engadini? This is real world nana and believe me my mom can hold her own and I’m the one who actually asks her for airtime so my home is not in dire need of help. I was just tryina make the point that,no matter how well achieved you are there are some systems that you can’t jsut really get rid of in your enviroment. If you were not so cought up in your own world you would have picked that up considering you are an educated girl.

Wow @lela you’ve been working 4 five years and your parents use pit toilet?!?!?! so you saying u cant afford to build a simple toilet?……Believe me if they could they would have built their own they ca AFFORD it, I’m from ezilalini but i’m one of those kids who didn’t grow up poor, it’s just that my mom is fine staying ezilalini and she is fine with her pit toilet because she can’t really do anything about it. As for me working for five years, you won’t belive that I still can’t even afford to have R10 left in my account by month end so even if I was from a poor family I wouldn’t even afford ikalika le. Yes that’s the reality of some of us, we can only afford to lve from hand to mouth while trying to make ends meet for our kids so if you are in my shoes are from a poor family thwn you are in shit cause they’ll be saying she is living in Joburg, she has a car nywe nywe nywe.By the way even a pit toilet is built.

What made me TJO, was rumour that Constable Rasuge was actually a mistress, that Nkuna (the guy that murdered her) was married with kids. Shuuu, some people from Hammanskraal are not sympethizing with her family because of the drama ya teng….

  65. RexonaABC on Mon, 16th Apr 2012 4:45 pm

This is a tough one, and needs no emotions. I hope allegations are not true. What concerns me is why didnt her sister guide Zahara about all these earlier, and really why would TK promise Zahara ‘s family those things while it’s Zahara sweating her B***?
Sometimes I think our families should not act like they are vultures. Zahara is a grown up woman, and I think in many companies, one is given a contract to go through it for some days before signing, that’s when the sisters should have really advised their sibling.

  66. mbulela on Mon, 16th Apr 2012 4:47 pm

I am one of those who flew out of the blocks and felt she was being fleeced by her recording company. Having read more informed views here and elsewhere,i think she may just be playing smart. However, she needs to get a license as soon as possible and a functional car. It is not a luxury by any stretch of imagination.
We have enough stars living beyond their reach and we the public criticise them when shit hits the fan. If this one having tasted poverty decides to be prudent with money, we need to applaud her. However recording companies are leeches, i hope she has a lawyer independent of the rec company to look after her interest. Never be too trusting.

Kodwa labantwana abakhulele eSandton angazi banjani. What the hell is wrong with a pit toilet? U can’t just go and build a flushing toilet emakhaya while everyone is using pit toilets. Ubani ozogubhela wena wedwa? I grew up using a pit toilet and I’m still alive, my parents were using and so were my grand parents. Abantu abake bayeke ukuzenza ngcono bo. Its not all of us who had the privilege of being raised in Sandton, abanye bethu sibuya emakhaya and we r proud of that.

  73. Letebele on Mon, 16th Apr 2012 5:41 pm

Lela, chomi you misunderstood my post. Ndithe they took her in when she came to jhb because there were no other option for any of the parties involved. TS couldn’t afford any other option of housing Zahara because financially the company was not doing well financially.

I can’t believe that there are people who still think that bcoz you have a job, that automatically means you can change the situation back at home. That just means you don’t come from a poor background. So you can’t really have an opinion about this because you don’t know the facts.

I just heard Zahara confirm that she does have over a mil in her acc (even though she tried to turn it into a joke) so I’m guessing now she’ll get the advise needed on how to sustain her money and still find a way to live off the money and help her parents. I honestly don’t give a rats ass about the sisters, they should find a way to make a better lives for themselves. Zahara must just worry about her parents, not a sibling, cousin, uncle, aunt, etc.

Flasing toilets is not a luxury and it shouldn’t even be placed in the categories of ‘luxurious acquisations’

The western colonized people stole and robbed us of the basic, standards of living and imprinted a facade of tainted perception over reality.

Truth is the basic needs of a mere mortal are not luxurious but a neccesity.

Water, lights, food, transport, property , health incl sanitation and ofcourse education.

The root of origin of the above mentioned stems as needs, basics and necessities hence we should aim to strive for that as opposed to accepting , the level of living standard which a white man has set for us.

Yes the real reality we faced with see black people still living in dire circumstances and then learning to accept such as a norm. But its not a norm, shouldn’t be a norm, its wrong and its an injustice towards africans.

Hence its imperative that as the revolutionized offsprings of aluta, to breakfree from such mentality and aid back home where we can. We have more resources today which allows us to do that.

    There should be no excuse.
Sucess is failure to an inside out. If u fail to dust your roots, u have succesfully allowed opression to reason on ur behalf.

Did anyone expect Zahara to go on those radio stations and say yes she is being used? Anyone who think that then is just as gullible as Zahara. The other concerning issue is that instead of DJ Sbu and TK helping her to clean up this mess, excuse the pun, they let her deal with this issue on her own. That does not look good either. Nobody except Zahara is responding to this negative press. I don’t know much about the entertainment industry but I would assume it works just like any other business. I did not expect Zahara to be the one dealing with this issue. TS could have send out a press release of did the interviews on her behalf.

Hehehe, Well I am speaking of areas whereby……let me give you an example. The Municipality in the Sekhukhune area has been and still continue to put down Pit toilets as some households can not afford to make their own ….doesn’t this scream ” flushing toilets are luxurious to them” to you? Even if they were not ready to accept it after 100 years of voting and asking for proper ablution facilities after getting the pit ones, I can tell you gore they celebrated, hence the acceptance.

    But I get you….:)

Khweeeeeee hai keh. . . Here’s my 5c. I think this whole thing is a publicity stunt, The SAMAs are around the corner, and we no longer wake up to full blast ya Loliwe. Of course Zahara’s management needed something to remind people that Zahara aka Spinach is still alive and kicking. She broke the record MaBrrr set with her Memeza album (apparently). Now they want her to be the first musician to win all the SAMA categories she’s nominated in (our very own Adele). Mr HipsDon’tLie is the future shem.

@MyThoughts: I think I’m gonna agree with you. This has publicity stunt written all over it! It turns out Zahara will be recording her live DVD at Carnival City in June. So what better way to start a PR campaign that with this whole drama. It got everyone talking and that’s what they needed to ensure that Carnival City is sold out on the night of the recording. Sad thing is PR stunts like these ruin reputations and relations. Ngoba ngoku people will think the sisters are after Zahara’s money. I can imagine uMama ka Zahara being questioned by neighbours and having to defend her child at every single turn.

Kodwa ke ngoku,is she gonna record a dvd with only 12 songs? Hayibo!

But I never fell for her ways like you all have. Today she proved me right. She’s actually @Trashlin.

@Trashlin reminds of that Eda Rose character who’d go on and on and on till that squeaky voice of hers damaged your speakers, about how her dad is rich and Italian. 125. Maratahelele on Tue, 17th Apr 2012 7:12 am

it seems like people always wanted to attack Sexyln and they finally got a chance today. I never understand why woman are always suffering from PHD. You ar all jealous of Sexyln, just admit it.

Lela made an example of the pits toilet implying that she did not have money to fix them. She never talked about municipality of other things that stopped her from making her parents flushing toilets. Sezyln had every right to question someone who drives and stays in a nice place ko Jozi while folks dnt have a flushing toilet. Zahara said her family were the first to have a flushing toilet,if she can do it,whats stopping Lela and Fezzy??

What you guys are saying about her husband is totally unnecessary and stupid. Stop pulling each other down. If you have a problem with Sexyln’s degrees, get yours,if you have a problem with her ”Sandton” house, study hard and get yours or just open your legs and get a rich husband. Ya’ll can fight for stupid things sometimes

  128. makaboy on Tue, 17th Apr 2012 7:48 am

You guys are so wrong, Sexylin didn’t look down on Lela she just said she should change her parents’toilet since she’s working & bare in mind thhat Lela had said she didn’t change it bcoz her money was enough for her & her kids not bcoz there was no way it could be changed coz she’s living in rural areas. She then apologised to Lela for being insensitive. Why everyone’s jumping down Sexylin’s throat I don’t know unless nincadekele coz you’ve always wanted to rubbish her. Why do we as women always attack each other & bring personal issues while at it? Bringing her husband into this was so unneccessary. I also come from ezilalini & we use a pit toilet but I didn’t become offended by anything Sexylin said bcoz I’m not ashamed of it. Let’s play nice guys & not be mean to other children. @Lela sorry sisi if what Sexylin said offended you @ Fezzy plz calm down hle mntakwethu

  131. Nomaha on Tue, 17th Apr 2012 8:20 am

I can bet my last two cents that Zahara wants to move out of the Nciza home qha ngoku ingxaki is that she feels she will forever be grateful to them for her fame. Yes! they did right by her and 2 years is a very long time surely by now she knows the ins and out of this industry. I think its time she became independent.

I dont think people need to apologise, feel sorry rather for who and where they come from. We are not responsible for our backgrounds but we are responsible for our futures. Whether you come from a home with a pit toilet like MOST of us or a Sandton house like Sxylin you shouldnt even be explaining yourself. How you live is none of anyone’s business. Its yours and your family’s qha ke.

    Blog gone all Ultra -Ghetto!

……anyway Zaharah says she is comfortable with her current arrangments,so whatever reservations others might have, they can only remain as speculations

….When we really put it into perspective Zaharah is only 23,has 1 album under her belt that has done very well in S.A,and is reasonably known by the rest of Africa (nevermind the rest of the world),…has not done any international tours etc,……did not have a Jozi up bringing where driving at 23 is proly standard……so even by the dizzy heights of people’s expectations we really need to give her a chance to figure life out her own way.

The problem is when we define necessity by our own needs.A rooftop heli-pad might be necessary for my sunrise in jozi-sunset in france lifestyle (J.C historians take note :) but I cant suddenly define that as a standard necessity for all, lifestyle is what
    detects necesity.

I’m looking forward to Zaharahs future offerings in the music industry thats for sure.I hope she stays grounded in the things that matter to her.

  137. fabulicious on Tue, 17th Apr 2012 8:59 am

Okay @jellie that’s just uncalled for.

  138. Leungo on Tue, 17th Apr 2012 9:06 am

Fabu, you got it very wrong dear. X Fucktor was talking about a JC blogger, not Sexyln’s husband.

Interesting to see that people who are always attacking Freckles are ganging up against Sexyln today. Indeed, there are cliques here on JC.

Anyway, back to Zahara. She has been with the Ncizas for far too long. Why are they making her dependent on them?
If she was your sister and has all that money in her account, I don’t think you wil appreciate the fact that she is still squatting and does not even have her own furniture.

We are not saying she must blow all her money on cars and townhouses, we are just saying that the first step to be independence is having your own stuff, learning how to handle grown up things like buying groceries, paying water and lights etc.

How will she negotiate better contracts in the future if she can’t even tell the Ncizas that it’s been far too long and it’s time she ventured out on her own and be a woman?
    Hai man, Zahara was kwatisa!!

anyways, i heard some of Zahara’s interview on that annoying dj’s show.

was impressed at her self-marketing. shem, ke na le go mmona a le rural and slow so def didnt expect that lil ambush marketing abt her live dvd recording. i’m sad i’m gona miss it since i will be leaving for my contiki that nyt. and i still haven’t seen her live :-(

She said getting a car and buying a house were in the pipelines vele. and that now when she gets them as planned ppl will think that shez tryna prove the mgosi paper wrong yet she was working on these.Well, if thats the case u go girl. i wud also stay (rent-free i’m assuming) til i do the big move.

Whether these allegations are true or not one thing that is as clear as daylight is that TS Records keep their cash cow on a very short leash. They have made her completely dependent on them and have fostered an environment that’s more about control than support. The Ncizas and Sbu are vultures.

can someone advise her though that akho zipeto kwibusiness

  154. Cutie on Tue, 17th Apr 2012 10:06 am

Let me clarify the issue with rural areas and pit toilets guys. Sometimes it has nothing to do with money but infrastructure. There has to be a sewerage system of some sort before you can have one. Unfortunately service delivery is going at a snail’s pace (if going at all) in South Africa.

I recently built my parents a house that I was soo proud of but they could not use the bathroom because of the infrastructure. I am looking at havig a septic tank issue resolved soon.

  155. lolo on Tue, 17th Apr 2012 10:14 am

Khaniyekeleni ukurasela uZahara ngemoto nedrivers license tuu! Ningena ndawoni nina if uhamba nge public transport! We all KNOW that Zahara prefers trains! Loliwa was her biggest hit! Tshh myekeni omnye umntana adudule uloliwe!

  156. Fezzy on Tue, 17th Apr 2012 10:15 am

If you can check my comment, there’s not even one word I said that was meant to insult Syxlin or anyone. She then came back and said I smell shit (I found that really funny by the way, kusho ukuthi bonke labantu abahlala ezilalini banuka amasimba. Ukuhlakanipha kuyabaxaka kodwa abantu).

Now she came back and said that I smell shit and I said what I said. Instead of ukuthi anake mina namasimba ami, ngathi akanake something thats really important to her that might leave her smelling shit for life, agcine esefana no Fezzy.

I can neva come to JC and insult my fellow bloggers but if ungizela ngamasimba, I will give as I get. I dont care ukuthi ungubani, mawungibhedela noma ngizokubhedela. And nje as poor as I am, I can neva be jealous of sum1 engingamazi. Impossible.

With all that said, I still love all my fellow bloggers, ya’ll always make my day. And I still love Syxlin’s cute lil boy , he makes me wanna go looking for a sperm donor, noma umamakhe ethanda ukusichomela.

    Peace!

  157. Nomaha on Tue, 17th Apr 2012 10:18 am

@Cutie can I just explain further about the flushing toilets in rural areas. If you build a 2m deep manhole outside your yard (as we all know there is a lot of space between yards in rural areas and no one can claim thespace as theirs) the manhole can then accomodate your family’s sewer flow for no less than 2 years depending on how big your family is. After 2 years youcan then hire thetrucks from the Municipality to come and collect your waste or use a chemical that gets rid of the waste. Kweyetu ilali we dont need the municipality’s consent to build full flushing toilets andiyazi kwezinye ilali but in most houses where they have the flushing toilet they go about what I just said.

  158. Jahara on Tue, 17th Apr 2012 10:33 am

Nomaha I was about to say that. My grandma has it at the rural haven(love that place, wheneva I need peace of mind n laughter I go to grandma’s),they dug a manhole & I remember they had to put in many rocks inside & I asked what the rocks are for & they said its a drain…or something like that. Its been a long time now. So the municipal sewage trucks come after some years to drain out the hole. So yeah,u can still do it even though u don’t have proper drainage & sewage system facilities.

Offtopic: aren’t retrievers natural born swimmers? I nearly killed my poor puppy this morning when I went to swim this morning for my not so usual mornin stretches…lol,it nearly drowned…my poor hussie.

I had a dog when I was ten it died 2 years later. I was soo miserable. My friends and I held a funeral for it sayingcwaba egadini nge bhokisi ye tomato. I vowed never to have a pet again. 176. Monei on Tue, 17th Apr 2012 11:46 am

i’m with u nomaha. it took me 12 yrs to have another dog after my beloved Blackie disappeared. then 3 months with the new puppy it got poisoned and went to die under my car (where it used to kp warm after i parked). when i reversed to go to a funeral i saw its lifeless body reveal itself frm under my car and immed assumed i drove over it. that was a seriously sad day. whats worse is i never told the vet, so i got a letter in the post reminding me of its shots appointment and ka xmas, ‘my dog’ sent me a wishlist (these dog food companies know how to market).

  177. Jahara on Tue, 17th Apr 2012 11:47 am

Oh well, nna kea di rata dintja shame, from a young age. Ene ke tsene le yona ko metsing ke nagana gore e tlo swim(a)…lol, coz my other 2 dogs(a poodle & a german shepherd) didn’t have a problem with swimming, infact they loooove water,so I thought this new member would follow suit. So ya,some dogs can swim from a very young age.

  179. Fezzy on Tue, 17th Apr 2012 11:57 am

@Thandwayo…come on gal, bengizokuvumela if we were all sitting in one room right and can actually see each other. Sibonane ukuthi who’s rich and who’s not.

Lemme make an example, we know Lusta la ku JC and the way he blogs, sazi ukuthi he has his own company, doing well, married with kids and has a side dish. For all we know, Lusta cud be some average guy working a call centre yaka Vodacom. Asimazi. So saying that one of the guys here, eg. Biskiti or whoever is jealous of Lusta’s success, that wud be….I dunno.

La ku JC, we know Lolo as this girl who doesnt mind to start a fight and ongamoshi iskhathi, calls a spade a spade. And for all we know Lolo cud be this well respected CEO and her employees dont even know that she blogs. So saying @freckles is jealous of Lolo cos uyayimela indaba yakhe, that wud be…I still dunno. *sigh*

I said what I wanted to say, lendaba ka Syxlin kimi iphele last night ngafika ngayivala this morning. Ngidlulile manje, sengikhuluma ngemgodoyi.

  180. Cutie on Tue, 17th Apr 2012 11:57 am

@Fezzy & Jahara – Thank you. I think the septic tank I’m going to install is something similar to what you have. It will be drained after a few years.

I don’t think people had anything personal against Syxlin per ser or are jelous. They were just rubbed the wrong way by her statement. But ke that has passed and she apologised

  181. kimmo on Tue, 17th Apr 2012 12:00 pm

and sxylin could be those ladies that rent other people’s babies to ask money on the street akere fezzy?phela anything is possible ‘runs”

  182. Lela on Tue, 17th Apr 2012 12:01 pm

@Nomaha I don’t think that would be possible kweyethu ilali, the way ingakhona ibulokishi izindlu zisondelelene exactly the way kungakhona elokishini and iyard zincinci. That means sohlala sinuka ikaka(this killed me),lol. But guys truth is some of these things that some people see as a disadvantage are so normal for some people.

  183. Nkey.. on Tue, 17th Apr 2012 12:05 pm

Cha lapho ke phela singabafazi siyazi awumane ukhulume nje ufake ingane babhem. Manje futhi sengixolile ngoba angiyena umuntu obamba amagqubu.

  185. Thandwayo on Tue, 17th Apr 2012 12:10 pm

Fezzy—your examples fail me dear cos i think you using your life experiences into not trusting people and you are failing to read some deatil in things for instance:
i know Sexylin dear, i know her real name and her life is what she says it is…!

Ohhh on Lusta’s part i would like to say the guy yi-bosso:

He is the real deal to me cos he doesn’t brag but talk about his life bits and pieces, he keeps referring to himself as a gardner and i dont remember reading anything about his wealth or him shoving it in our asses unlike some fakes in here..! i can name a few but for peac sakes lets rather dont!

as for Lolo,,,sorry but no CEO has tht time in her hands never!

  186. Fezzy on Tue, 17th Apr 2012 12:12 pm

  192. hot.chocolate on Tue, 17th Apr 2012 12:28 pm

okay, I havent’t had a chance to read all the comments. I’m def not taking anyone’s side, cos I don’t have the time to suck up to anyone, kodwa this thing of dragging another person’s marital problems when engaging in an argument is just plain wrong and tacky!!! So now everytime @sxyln gets involved in an argument someone is going to mention her husband? From what I’ve gathered here, most of the ladies have relationship prblms!!! Kutheni, ayikho anye into eningamthuka ngayo omnye umntwana or is it umona vele???

  193. Lela on Tue, 17th Apr 2012 12:29 pm

Kwaaaaa Fezzy I said babhem, sisimpondo for people,it’s like saying bathong or bantu.

Lapho ke nami Fezzy angizweli lutho ukuthi ubani unani ngoba lokhu enginako kunganele nengani zami ezinuka amasimba. Manje if laba abacebile bevumelekile ukuthi bakhulume ngempilo zabo zokudla izambane likapondo nathi siyafuna ukukhona ukukhuluma ngezethu impilo ngaphandle kokubukelwa phansi.

Akusi ubuntu ukuthi ewww or sies kwindlela abanye abaphila ngayo even if uzizwa ngolohlobo ngoba vele ma usho lawo magama lo omunye uzozizwa ngathi umbukela phantsi bese naye ke afune ukuzivikela.

Shem nami Fezzy anginandaba ukuthi ubani ucebile or unani or uwubani mara ngifisa sengathi nathi thina bangadlli izambane likapondo singakwazi ukukhuluma ngezethu impilo without being subjected to bo eeewwwww and sies ngoba kimi asi ubuntu lobo.

  200. Fezzy on Tue, 17th Apr 2012 12:42 pm

@Thandwayo…ok dear. As long as u know that its you who owes her, not mina.
Ngingene indaba ka Lela no Syxlin and that makes me ugaxelekile. Wena wangena indaba yami no Syxlin. That means name ungugaxelekile angithi?

  201. lolo on Tue, 17th Apr 2012 12:50 pm

@Thandwayo because I am mean and tactless I will tell you that the words dark, ugly and chunky with short coarse hair were mentioned when I asked what you looked like.Since I have never actually met you you need to ask yourself ukuba ndiyithathaphi lento endiyithethayo so here is my suggestion.
    1. Go buy a hair relaxer, wig or weavem
    2. Buy herbex and join a gym.
    3. Oh and it was also mentioned that your breath is not that fresh so some toothpaste and a toothbrush can fix that for you.

But since @Sxylin is your bosom buddy, maybe she will source the listed items and courier them from NYC for you.
Just some friendly advice, use it , don’t use it.I’m also chucky BTW so you might wanna pass some Herbex my way!

  206. sxylin on Tue, 17th Apr 2012 12:56 pm

@Zenam i wanted to stop commenting up in here but somehow i had to come out and ask ; have u read the comments cos clearly im dealing with ……….! i’ll let u finish this! For you to say im ignorant is really given back to you! because my statement to Lela was clearly not meant to degrade! Clearly people’s characters here are very evident! Lela said her PARENTS USE A PIT TOILET BECAUSE THEY KNOW THAT THE MONEY SHE MAKES IS ENOUGH FOR HER AND HER KIDS! So now tell me having said that did she not imply that the situation could be changed?

And Lela u saying i made a dig at your kids is childish! i would like to think im dealing with mature young ladies, as to my wealth, my poverty and my husband cheating on me; thats my business! I said the things i said because i was called up on my lifestyle like suddenly i must stoop to Lela’s level because i asked why she couldnt get her parents a flushable toilet so her kids can atleast visit their grandparents and still use the toilet they are used to! Someone went as far as googling what their idea of my husband’s proffession! Unfortunately they got it wrong and iwont even entertain all that hogwash! With having said that there are people i will address here that have become more than just blogger friends and if my life does not matter that much to u then let it rest! what i did for Thandwayo has nothing to do with this and same goes for everyone else! All this that i see being written here goes to show what im being told about small minded people!

  222. Jahara on Tue, 17th Apr 2012 1:23 pm

Do I believe love can exist on JC? Realistically speakin,no! But I do believe some form of truce can be established & I do admit that although most of us here will not see eye to eye(well…databundle to databundle),we can stil embrace one another, flaws & all, like any dysfunctional family.

People here need to stop takin this sh*t so damn personal. See JC for what it really is: entertainment. I’m willin to extend the olive branch to anyone I’ve ever had an issue with,to anyone I might have offended…nxae kgaitsedi.

We don’t have to be “friends”, but I’m assumin everyone here is an adult, so let’s act accordingly and atleast try to be civil and respectful towards each other. That’s all I gotta say.

    Love,
    JAHARA

i’m also toying with the idea but i have no experience whatsoever in the industry/business i wana do. plus the competitors r huge and well established. i need a little light to say therz room for a starter like me.

  235. NOLO on Tue, 17th Apr 2012 1:44 pm

He is hoping you quit so he can stop spending a small fortune on air freshners!

  237. BlindFold on Tue, 17th Apr 2012 1:52 pm

@kimmo, i do not necesarily specialise in nannies its just that its easier to get Mmme wa Lesotho than the local people. What has you nanny done?? @smatsatsa fire her..@Nolo if you realise that they are giving you attitide, when you dish out instructions you do not look them in the eye.

  238. kamzababy on Tue, 17th Apr 2012 1:53 pm

Sorry Sexylin, my comment is incomplete… what i wanted to say is its not what you said but how you said. “sick face and !!!!!!!” and they only reason people are “bashing” you is cos they “know” your personal/marital “problems”. Dont take it personal (i know you dont). Its normal that people will always remind you of your past mistakes/problems in life and by your statement MOST of US felt that o iketsa betere. with that said i hope gore atleast Lela’s parents has clean running water.

  239. Smatsatsa on Tue, 17th Apr 2012 1:53 pm

@Nolo oho, I had a bad experience with an agency yako Mfolo, someone reffered it to us, it’s ran by a Sotho woman specialising in women from Lesotho, we had this helper who was staying with us for a while, when her “brother in law” passed on, she had to go to Lesotho obviously, heee, this woman only moved in with one suitcase but she left with 2 bags! And left her suitcase behind! Riddle me that..

@Monei it’s in services, I also don’t have the enough experience but I know I can do it, the problem is convincing others, and the industry’s white dominated and you knwo how “some” blacks are not supportive towards each other and some have the mentality that whites are more proffesional/successful hence they’ll opt to do business with them..

  240. kamzababy on Tue, 17th Apr 2012 1:55 pm

and NO i do not have any notes written somewhere about what happens in JC bloggers life. i just have a good memory especially when i read something its hard for me to forget it so just because some of you forget doesnt mean we remember because we choose to. it just happens so people better get used to it.

  241. Thandwayo on Tue, 17th Apr 2012 1:58 pm

Lolo, this is not your blog, you might confuse it as such i understand; i will go here when i want to do so. @blindfold, she wants off every single weekend, there is always some sort of a story @ home, i had one from lesotho le yena she once dissapeared on me ka weekend and switched her phone off and came strolling back on a sunday night, i mean people like that how do you leave them with your child cause you cant rely on them , i even told her this past weekend that she is not doing me a favour by being there is either she wants a job or she doesnt, and when i spoke to her about her always wanting off’s all of a sudden , how do i plan, all she did was just look at me and kept quiet, i got so mad that fact that she even gives me attitude in my house , gosh they are tiring i tell you, the only thing after screaming at them you think about the baby you leaving behind with them,

My baby was 11months when I started working and I used to leave her at a day care centre. Yazi I cudnt even concentrate thinking about her all day. The idea of leaving my kid with sum1 who’s not family freaks me out. People are mean out there.

I prefer older women, even though the one i have is so lazy, she eats a paqame (lying on her stomach).

Can you sue a taxi driver for maintanance? My cousin who is not right ngokuphelele ekhanda, well uyaphila yena but she repeated Grade8/Std6 5 times kwacaca ukuthi akuhambi kahle and she quit school. Well she got pregnant by a taxi driver and he wont give her anything to support the child unless she sleeps with him. Basically kumele amvulele amathanga b4 she can get anything from him.

So my question is, can you sue for maintanance if the father is not registered and doesnt even have a payslip?

I wonder if oboss bethu abakhalazi na ngathi njengoba sikhalazela inanny nje thina.

  291. Botshelo on Tue, 17th Apr 2012 3:42 pm

@ Fezzy yes you can sue a person who does not have a payslip, but the person must have a bank account. If the Taxi Driver is also the owner, then chances are your cousin can get maintance money from him. If he is just a driver and is not paid/ have a bank account, then it will be very difficult to prove that he has sufficient money for child support.

If he slept with your cousin, and took advantage of her, because she is not mentally up to date, then he must pay still, and in fact can be arrested.

all this comes from a person who did not study law, so it might be flawed

  292. Shandu on Tue, 17th Apr 2012 3:42 pm
