Joyful Noise Movie Premiere

One Gospel invited Lelo to the premiere of the movie Joyful Noise but she couldn’t attend so she asked me to go giving me the ”It’s your kind of movie Kiki, you will enjoy it. It has black people” . Hehheheh
This event took place more than a week ago but I thought I delay a bit with the article so that I don’t spoil it for you. Just to give you time to go watch it.
Written and Directed by Todd Graff the movie stars Queen Latifah as Vi Rose Hill, Dolly Parton as G.G Sparrow, Jeremy Jordan as Randy Garrity and my favourite gal Keke Palmer nailing the character of Olivia Hill (Latifah’s daughter).
What I like about Keke is that, we have watched her grow on our screens from the little ghetto girl to a beautiful smart woman. Remember her on Madea’s Family Reunion? On this one she shows her vocal strengths. I didn’t know she could sing that well. First scene of the movie she leads the choir in singing Michael Jackson’s Man in the Mirror and trust me with that performance, the King of Pop must be smiling wherever he is.
I’m not sure if Joyful Noise falls under Drama or Comedy but for me there were a lot of comedy moments and I was on the floor most of the time. It’s a movie about a gospel choir that had been entering some music competition but not winning so they then decided to do things differently and go more Hip on their performances and songs but it wasn’t that easy because their choir master still wanted to keep it the old school way. The very same way that had cost them the number one spot in the past.
There are a lot of crazy moments especially the Dolly Parton and Queen Latifah fights. What’s worse is that Dolly’s grandson ended up falling in love with Latifah’s daughter, so you can imagine the verbal balls that were being thrown from one house to the next. There is actually a lot to learn from this movie; Love, Acceptance, Tolerance, Faith, Hope and Respect for the next person but most of all respect for your parents.
There is a part where one of the ladies from church agrees to get involved with an old Chinese/Japanese man and the first night they slept together he woke up dead. We all know ke, the talks and labelling started doing the rounds. It was so funny. The most emotional and touching scene for me was when Queen Latifah’s disabled son questioned her as the woman of God saying ‘You are my mother but you worship the same man that made me this way. I am not normal but you sing God’s praises all the time. How could you? Why didn’t he make me normal like other children? You are supposed to hate him for making me this way’ Eish,I couldn’t hold back my tears during that scene.
Anyway, let me slow down. Go and watch the movie guys. It’s entertaining. Kirk Franklin also makes an appearance. Yhuu, but that man is too short. Lol
I spotted a few celebs at the premiere. Here are the pics.
Jabu Hlongwane. He asked me which publication I was taking the picture for? When I said it’s for Just Curious he was like ‘I am going to Google you guys and I will find you’ Lol
Isidingo’s Tshepo Maseko made fun of my camera the whole time. I asked him to donate.
Hulisani Ravele was there too. CC is another Keke Palmer. Just yesterday she was the Yo TV chick but now she has grown so much.
Still on Yo TV, I spotted another former presenter Akhumzi chatting to Mahalia.
Carly Fields, who is also a former Yo TV presenter showed face. She is one of the One Gospel presenters.

I enjoyed reading this,trailer looks good and definitely comic,pity it wont be hitting the cinemas in my neck of the woods,will have to wait for the DVD.
Miss CC looks young and fresh in her short hair.I love her focus ,she’s achieved well in her young life.

@H2G I think that guy is tsill having an affair with the other woman that is why he refused for them to go Parys. He should just tell the wife that he wants isithembu finish and klaar so that the wife can decide to iether stay or go. I think Dial (cute name) the name is quite meaningful, it means that the dude is communicative like a phone…If I have another child, a son imma name him Dial.
Unfortunately the wife keeps getting a bisy signal when she tries to talk t her hubby. Kwaaaaa! Mam Angie is loved by me shem. She is totally consistent , week by week she makes the problems of feuding families worse, theredore creating drama which is killer entertainment. Her shows are soon gonna be like that old American show, bathi yini uJerry Springer! Just a lame excuse to air dirty laundry. No therapeutic value @ all!

Oh how much I love Mahalia, she has such a beautiful voice. I wish she hadn’t gotten carried away ka make up like that. Or maybe it’s just the picture quality, the Mahalia I know is super HOTT!!

Hayi mam’Angie’s counselling skiils are wack. I was so suprised when she told the woman she is lying to herself if she expects the other woman to communicate with her athi it wont work.
I thought hawu it works perfectly foor me and my babby daddy’s wife, no drama at all there. If anything i call the wife or she calls me, she comes to pick the child for visits and she does all this with an open hear because her home is respected by the baby mama, no midnight calls of baby is sick, like really.
If as a baby mama you respect the woman’s space with her marriage she will also respect you and your child will be loved and cared for but if you disrespect the wife and invade her space by making unnecessary calls to her husband she will have to be defensive and you will be saying step mothers are bad.
No woman wants to share her husband, baby mamas should repect epoeple’s homes and i think comm via wife is the best deal eva.

I gave never seen such defined man-hips / man-handles in my entire life. It’s like he’s posing to show them off. #SMFH
Proverb simply has charm. He’s far from great looking but he’s charm and zest is undeniably strong. That’s why you get vrou mense going gaga over him.
The gay rumours would still be there even if Theo Kgosinkwe did not wear earrings on both sides. It’s just the way we acts or presents (as we call it in bi / circles) himself whenever he tries to articulate things to the world. It’s can be tolerable to be slightly feminine, but not loke Theo. He’s too extreme. He reminds me of Lundi & Kci when they used to preach being straight.
