New Host Needed For SABC 1 sCupid Show

All You Need Is Love has only been back on SABC 1 for 3 weeks but there’s already drama!
Last week I got an email from the production company asking if I had a certain celeb’s contact details because they wanted him to come for auditions and I knew then that there was trouble in paradise.
Yesterday we read that Sisanda Henna, the new host was now the ex host, due to “viewer feedback”. You guys complained about him and the channel decided to cut ties with him.
As much as I respect that they listened to the viewers and let him go when he was presumed not to be performing, I have a problem with the fact that they would just let him got kanjalo nje.
- Was his ‘performance”a surprise to SABC 1?
- Did they not audition him to see what kind of a presenter he was and what kind of show he would deliver?
This is such a bad reflection on the channel and it’s unfair to the presenter because they cannot claim that he was good in his audition, there can’t be that big a difference. If his sacking was purely based on the viewers’feedback and not their opinion of his skills, would that then mean they aren’t in tune with what their viewers want to see on their screen? They really should’ve just asked!
Now he will be known as that guy who got sacked after a few episodes and whoever they get, they better think long and hard about their decision because for them to embarass Sisanda like this, the replacement better be WORTH the drama!
I’m not interested in the show this time so whoever they get, I’ll rely on the loyal viewers for how he’s doing.
Got any suggestions for SABC 1 on which guy they should get to host? And please do not say Zwai or Hlomla. It’s 2012.

Shame poor guy nd he looks a bit down and out as if he really need the job, ja ne life,anyway I think that should hire Luclay Mr BBA fame since is the only xhosa I can think of right now,I think he could do with the job aswell,havnt seen him on my screen since BBA.

Shem,ke sono.I remember when Bonnie henna(wife)was criticising SowetoTV,she even got into an argument with lerato kganyago on twitter regarding their shows. Heehee I wonder gore oreng ka this, since she’s such a big critic of others.

Forget about the embarassment & all, he was boring. Or rather the show is a bore on itself.
I suggest Luclay coz he’ll cry together with peole that are being prosed to & he’ll shout at anyone that’s breaking people’s hearts.

It’s sad for Sisanda~ now you have a job & suddenly you don’t & the channel is saying to themselves they don’t know how to hire presenters, they merely depend on viewers. It’s 2012, maybe they should have changed the name of the show or just let it have been really.

Sisa Henna was quiet bland and uninteresting for the show. He was just out of touch nje. He might hold it down as an actor but as a TV host/presenter, his energy isn’t for a show of this kind. Ingathi indoda idlile ikorobela waya-waya with his big beady eyes and slow speech.
I nominate Dr Rebecca Malope. Now that’s a mad presenter I tell you. She’s like the gospel version of ‘Madea Come’s To Paradise’. If it weren’t for Sis Reb’s Gospel Time would not be interesting to watch. That’s Woman with The Anointing, ojampa amatafula when She presents. Sis Rebs for ‘All You Need Is A Shag’.

Hay’bo Guys; Sisanda nje when I saw him there,I really became uninterested to the show,hayi nyhan I do liked him for tshatsha,or any other SABC1 drama,but not Presenting,utyafile.
I choose Hlubi Mboya and Azania Mosaka (Ndoro)
Okanti a random person would be: Kholeka “the Gospel Singer (she is good,I know nje); or Tsidi Montero (Jokwana) “from Umhlobo Wenene (she hosts the radio version of All you need is love and she is good).

GOOD RIDDANCE !!!!!!!!! Yessess that guy is a ywan tlhe! And the love I have for him, and his acting abilities, him and Anelisa from montana are probably my favourite underrated Xhosa talent in SA.. I loooooove Sisa but aowa he’s a bore on that show.
I agree with @fabTee, a Spirit Sundae type show would be better, plus he’s the religious type akere. I think Thapelo Mokoena wouldn’t be too bad, or someone more hyper-active to balance out that equally boring girl presenter -__-

I watched the show for the 1st tym last week and yena he was boring shame
he lacked the charisma…even the studio audience nje they were all wearing black lyk baqoqiwe bafakwa ebhasini o_O…
Maybe some1 lyk Sbu, Pabi Moloi, Dineo Rakana, or Phat Joe will do for me…OR PERHAPS A NEW FACE…khathele abantu ababodwa!!!

i stand to be corrected, but in my understanding when they hire someone for shows like all u need is love they look for a married person, yes, no, maybe??
so i doubt if the likes of KM, BN, DR etc will be considered…

Shame man. Mina I think its unfair that Sisa had to suffer for an overall BAD show show nje. The show in itself is such a yawn, I don’t think any other person will do justice. Lol and speaking of Pearl @RBG, I just don’t look forward to the show anymore. She’s really killing the show slowly but then again I’ve learnt not to judge or criticise these guys anymore cos its really not an easy job trying to please everyone at once, u could be next!

A popular sabc1 presenter was supposed to be axed earlier this year wen the had a presenter search however I hear she has been sleeping with one of the marketing bosses of that show who are at 8th floor at kulesiyasgogo sa’sathane ebathi sabc. If they were really serious about performance and taking the masses serious , they would have fired people like Lunga tshabalala ages ago. So I believe this was also a personal vendetta against sisanda – screw sabc1 and their nonsense – Zinja nxa!!
