This Week Just Makes Me Go TJO!
May 24, 2012 by Brown Shuga
Helen Zille gets her own portrait…
The Zuma painting gets defaced…
A Security guard wins a Security Guard vs Taxi Drown Smackdown and they both get arrested. For different reasons, of course.
There’s finally closure in the Eugene Terr’blanche murder trial…
the teen gets acquitted of murder…
But Chris Mahlangu is found guilty…
Drogba leaves Chelsea…
Moneeb Josephs retires from international football because (we all seem to have concluded) he’s tired of playing second fiddle to Itumeleng Khune, and people say Benni made him do it.
3rd Degree and Izikhothane take over Twitter…
And inspire Ultra Mel to realise that there is Nandos brilliance in every brand…
Usher and Tameka are still battling out in court and Tameka is enjoying every minute of it!
I’m exhausted!

GiJane on Thu, 24th May 2012 1:29 am
Nami nje bengisola uBenni, that he put Moneeb upto this stunt.

Izikhothane made me sad, like what the hell are parents thinking buying kids shoes worth R 2500.00. Those teenage girls dancing wow. Needless to say they ruined my love for Ultramel:-(. Usher Usher Usher next time pick someone your own age, eish feel sorry for him though. Moneeb Josephs you are so dom, being led by that Oros astray. I still love this country though i wish sometimes we had less drama.

Good for you Moeneeb you cannot win two league tittles in sucession and still be in the shadow of Itumeleng whose team is just a dissaster but dont come back five years from now saying your services are available if required.

Good morning guys!
I say big ups to Moeneeb for standing his ground. People just hate uBennie and they blame him for everything. Moeneeb is a grown man I dont think he is that stupid to let someone else decide on his behalf about his future. Tjo! isikhothane, i didnt watch it this time around course I have seen before on 3rd Degree twice. I wonder if it was continuing or a repeat. As for Usher If feel sorry for him and iam sure apho akhoyo uyawakhumbula amazwi kamama wakhe.

Benni did nothing wrong, he was only supporting his friends decision. Here’s the whole story, no rumours and distortions:
Josephs in shock decision to quit Bafana
Pirates goalie bemoans lack of game time in Pitso Mosimane’s squads
MNINAWA NTLOKO
Published: 2012/05/23 07:40:35 AM
OUTSPOKEN Orlando Pirates striker Benni McCarthy yesterday defended the decision of his close friend, Moeneeb Josephs, to quit the national soccer team.
McCarthy said Josephs decided to dump the national team “in frustration” when it dawned on him that Bafana coach Pitso Mosimane would always give the No1 jersey to Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune. “He (Josephs) actually cried,” McCarthy said yesterday.
“He is my roommate, you know, and he asked me for my input. But I said he should make his own decision and I will respect whatever he decides. When he explained his reasons and why he wanted to do it, yeah, the man broke down and cried. I put myself in his shoes and if I was in those shoes, I would have done exactly the same.
“If I feel that I am doing more than enough to earn a place, or at least a chance at being No1, and I am not being selected….”
Josephs declined to comment and walked away yesterday when approached by journalists to provide further light on his shock decision.
Bafana face Ethiopia in a 2014 Soccer World Cup qualifier in Rustenburg on June 3 and Josephs should have been in camp with the national team as Mosimane announced him in the 30-member squad last week.
The 32-year-old made his Bafana debut in 2003 and has struggled to come to terms with playing second fiddle to the 24-year-old Khune, who made his debut in national team colours only in 2008.
Matters came to a head early this year when Mosimane named Khune in the Bafana starting line-up in the friendly international against Senegal in Durban on February 29, despite his coming from a long injury layoff. Khune had been out injured for more than three months and Josephs thought he would be No1 as Khune played his first competitive match after his layoff against Jomo Cosmos at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium only on February 16.
Josephs made the decision to dump Bafana a few days ago and has ignored the call-up that was sent to Pirates and to him last week.
His Pirates team-mates — Andile Jali and Oupa Manyisa, who also play with him at national team level — travelled to Rustenburg after the club won the league title at the weekend. He was the only absentee.
Josephs’ representatives contacted the Bafana camp and told them not to consider him for this encounter and any other future Bafana matches.
In the letter Josephs also requested a meeting with Mosimane to explain his decision.
Mosimane asked the player to write the letter himself, rather than through his representatives, and explain himself before such a meeting could take place,
The Bafana coach will make a decision on Josephs only once the player has sent the letter.
McCarthy said he understood where Josephs was coming from but he feared the public would lash out at the player after his decision to turn his back on his country.
McCarthy himself had numerous clashes with the media and even the public during his incident-riddled Bafana career.
He resigned regularly from the national team after numerous fall-outs with the South African Football Association.
“I understand Moeneeb’s issues,” McCarthy said.
“People will hate him but they must put themselves in his position. It is a sad moment for us to see one of the best goalkeepers pull out so close to the start of the Bafana World Cup qualifiers.
“Moeneeb is a great professional and if I was in his situation I would have probably done the same thing.” He said such things happened.
“In an act of frustration, it happens. Once you read clearly that you are not achieving your goals, then it is better to not continue.
“I am sad that he has pulled out of the national team because I think he is an absolute gem in goals.
“I am fully behind Moeneeb whether he decides to go back to the national team or decides to concentrate on playing his football at club level at Pirates.”

busidiko on Thu, 24th May 2012 10:12 am
Moneeb Josephs’s shock resignation made me go tjo. I see treble twice gives ppl an ego. What he forgot to do is look at the log & see that SSU, Sundowns & Chiefs have a better defensive record despite Pirates winning the league. Obviously that translates to more goals were scored against Pirates this season than Chiefs. So Khune remains the number1 goalkeeper. He works hard & uyalibamba ibhola period.
Izikhothane need prayers shem. Lost generation. Our society cant carry on like this & have senseless lifestyles that impoverish black people even more. Its wrong, should be condemned & not joke about it. Parents also need to draw the line.
For me Moneeb is just moemish of the week….his friend Benni self appointed Spokesperson for Moneeb spilled the beans & Moneeb tries to do damage control by downplaying Benni’s comments. Its now clear…HE WANTS THE NO1 Jersey. Why did he agree to do the KFC ad where Khune told him in his face that the Number1 jersey is taken. Guess it was a bitter pill to swallow.

He always makes sure he has Mphela in the squad in the starting line up even when he hasn’t beed performing! It’s about time other players stand up against that man!
As for Usher, ayeke ukubhayiza!
Vesa on Thu, 24th May 2012 10:53 am
Pitso’s selection process has been flawed since the date he took over as a coach. His selection is not based on merti & he has loyalty towards certain players regardless of their performance.

Mathaz on Thu, 24th May 2012 11:04 am
True that @Vesa, Khune has not been perfroming of late. In soccer the more medals you have, the better your chances of being called for national duty. It does not make sense why he still prefers Khune. In life you must know your worth. People treat you the way you treat yourself. Gordon Igesund deserves that coaching job, period. We have wasted enough time with Pitso.
There was no way Chris was not going to be found guilty. He did commit it.
President Zuma must steer clear of controversy and it will not follow him. We have given his *member* too much publicity now, it is time to talk about real issues like the textbook debacle of Limpopo, service delivery protests and he must just study that Bheki Cele commission and bring him back already. #TeamBhekiCele.
