Spotted: Frisco Black Coffee House Party

The ”Wide Awake Shake” campaign, alongside Dj Black Coffee and Frisco, threw the biggest house party on the 23rd of June at Emoyeni, Parktown.

Brimming with celebrities, media and well…a few randoms here and there, it promised to be an eventful evening, the minute I stepped in.

After a bit of scouting around, I noticed Boity wasn’t there…I thought she was running for Socialite Of The Year. Would have loved to see her. *sigh*

However, Zakwe, DJ SPHEctacular and obviously, Black Coffee were there and boy did we cut loose to a performance and their sets, respectively.
So we didn’t really feel the Winter chills…oh and the coffee helped as well, for those of us that don’t drink *winks*

Zakwe.  Trust me when I say, this guy is one of the best performers in SA. His lyrics actually make sense, unlike….nevermind.

Vuzu and Channel O presenter, Dineo Moeketsi also showed face. Spent most of my time with her. She’s such a good sport.

RGB presenter, Pearl Thusi, getting her interview done with Willy Monfret. Wait, did I mention that he was there…well…there you have it.

Presenter and Franky’s ëx” hehehe, Tumi Voster. She looked stunning.

Now what’s an event without Kuli, Toolz and Mika.

Lunga Shabalala and friend. Seems like they were having a deep conversation.

Just how beautiful is Mbali hey. I was speaking to her about her tiny body…you’d think she’s lying that she has a baby. Quite a big baby in fact. She’s out here, supporting her husband.

Jam Alley Presenter and singer, Noluthando. Yes, believe it or not, Jam Alley is still on our screens.

Dj SPHEctacular on the decks. His hip-hop set was on point. Hit after hit.

    I love Hulisani and Mbali. Apparently Mbali has a blog (which I’m yet to visit) called ‘Simply Enhle’.

    One of my employees said something “silly” about BlackCoffee this week when we were viewing some of his party pics in another blog. I found myself taking offence on his behalf. I love this guy shem, I find him humble. Lela, or anyone from Mthatha; do u have any idea why abantu baseMthatha bem-banga kangaka uBlack Coffee? Is he from here? I mean one guy from my church got emotional the other day, pointing a house at Ngangelizwe esithi, “kukulo Nathi maan apha” ede engathi uzolila shem. I was like, usually I know things like these but hay, I’m not sure. And nam I constantly find this need in my heart to support him, because I seem to have convinced myself that ngumkhaya, smh.

    When u have time guys, take a pic of Dineo Moeketsi, put it next to a pic of Susan of Muvhango. I seem to have convinced my self into thinking that Dineo is a lighter-skinned version of Susan. Bayafana shem. The kid that I work with disagreed at first, she was like “hayi sis Lorrelai, it can’t be”. But then I whooped out that Move mag with Sussie on the cover, Dineo on google images, I won the case. Lmao!!

    *sigh* this Willy Monfret person. How come I never meet people like him randomly noba kuse Madeira street? He’s what we used to call “cream” in high school. Yi-cream!!

    Black Coffee was born in the Eastern Cape and grew up in Hammarsdale (KZN_DBN) whatever you want to call it, so the Mthatharians have a right to claim 20% of him of Kznites can claim the rest LOL.     As far as I have read and listened to B Coffee’s interviews, he is from the EC (Ngangelizwe) to be specific (not sure of how long he lived there) but he grew up in KZN. Every December he always throws a party in Mthatha and he is one of the loyal dj’s ze”Silly Summer Party” and he helps out young dj’s zaseMthatha. He says this is his contribution to the Mthatharians and I THINK the incident with his hands happened when he lived in Mthatha.

    I also think Tumi and Franky are back together. One of her tweets gave me that impression a while(nyana) back. I love me some Tumi shem. I’ll tell u why, it’s because of those mini-cheeks that she has below her cheeks. Robert Marawa has them too. I have them too. I used to loathe them, and I never used to smile because of them.
