Maybe It Was Cute Then But…
June 19, 2012 by Brown Shuga
….. and these things should STOP. END. DIE.
- Tweeting/Updating your status with quotes all day – dude we follow you because we are interested in you, not your plagiarism skills.
- Fighting over a man! Ummm… do I need to say more
- Bafana Bafana – It was cute in 1996. Ban than thing.
- Tagging people on tweets. If I want to tag a person I can and will do it… don’t be tjatjarag and go tag people on tweets that talk about them. You think you are doing them a favour by bringing negativity to their attention? Stop being tjatjarag.
- Speaking of Tjatjarag, that word should also die with Malema.
- Being on a magazine cover when you have no story to tell. So sick and tired of reading the same recycled stories about celebrities. On the covers nogal. Can people not agree to cover if they have nothing to share. Unless you are Faye Peters saying “The Truth About My History With Vusi Twala” or Bonang saying “Why I Now Choose Batman over Superman”, or Vuyo Mbuli saying “Let Me Explain The Vase Story “ we don’t wanna hear it.
- SA celebs and their threats to write books when they themselves don’t even own books. Forget the fact that you aren’t even 30 yet you think you have lived long enough to have a story worth reading, but this is SA, generally we aren’t a reading nation now you are coming out with a book about what we’ve already read on Sundays.
Gonna leave it here for now…. And make this a regular feature just to keep reminding us of what needs to STOP in 2012!
Feel free to add your voice!

vumaaa on Tue, 19th Jun 2012 5:18 am
I agree more ku Point 1, people really need to calm down and be original.
Excessive Tweeting/ Re-tweets damn this dries all cum in my balls.
Ul find people saying Hi to all the celebs and non-celebs on tweeter. Its annoying and u end up with a Lousy T nx.
Lol shame poor Malema . Nkosi yam its so peaceful without the dude.

Yes yes BS, you gotta make it a regular. Fighting over a guy it’s a downgrade, upgrade yourself by walking he will smell the perfume after you gone. As for magazine covers they just a bore, e.g we all see our mothers as our heros so making me read about someone else’s mom(Drum) really! Moving on~ haaa.. BS, let’s keep tjatjarag please. The book thing they just trying to make moolah hle- phela ku tough here in SA, hence we have so many entrepreneurs.
Ms_B on Tue, 19th Jun 2012 6:51 am
I get so annoyed by those who spend their entire day on twitter kissing celebs behinds…oh I love your show, oh I love your music…like really can people not do that, its pethetic to say the least.
vumaaa on Tue, 19th Jun 2012 6:57 am
@Ms_B phela they get RTs then go and Brag on Facebook that they were chatting with a celebrity and then they will be FB celebrities.Seee??
lorrelai on Tue, 19th Jun 2012 7:07 am
Why does this “Magazine Covers” point make me think of Claire. I mean I love the woman to bits but yho! How many times is she gonna tell us how she left the modelling world while the room was still full and what not? I aint buying anything with her on it.
Mna I hate anyone who tweets/rt’s anything along the lines of “DO YOU”, “haters” and celeb ass kissing. And then there are those who always complain that “but @DJZinhle never replies to any of my tweets:-(“. Ngqumakho I wanna kick those on the shin!!!

dejane on Tue, 19th Jun 2012 7:25 am
I agree with Phathu about people that always posts quotes on twitter and facebook, I wanna know what’s your mind from time to time, your thoughts, not someone else’s.
What also needs to stop is people who post tweets that have only been retweeted by celebs on facebook. Facebook people are chilled, they couldnt give a flying fcuk if you were retweeted by Bonang or Dj Sbu.
What also needs to stop is people who check in at mostly larney places only, umuntu disappears off facebook for while and the first they do upon their return is check in at Spur. Seriously? Or get you someone checking in at the airport kanti they’re only there to drop off someone. If you gon check in at OR Tambo, please do check in at Noord or Bree too, then i wont moan as much.

but to think your opinion is the gospel…relax maan
Beautiful-Butterfly on Tue, 19th Jun 2012 8:19 am
Another thing that needs to stop is “twitter” people always feeling the need to diss people from facebook. Forgetting that they also come from there- a person screen munches a facebook status with lots of spelling errors and be on some “I rest my case with Facebook peeps”- Like really now, if you too glammed up for the “Slow Facebook” why do you still have an account there? People forget gore Twitter wasn’t started by their parents. Leave those who love Facebook and love your ass licking celebrities twitter.

I find twitter to be very informative and educational.I dont follow celebrities, mostly journalists, politicians (ANC politicians are so scared to air their views) and those in the know about politics.I dont have a lot of followers though. There are some people who are just rude and plagariasm is rife on those streets. One does not have to be rude to make a point.

@Botshelo… i read that Bonnie moved out of their marital home to go stay with her mom in Soweto with the kids..Apparently Sisanda is very controlling would tell her not to take jobs where she had to kiss/get close to any man. He would read her scripts and all, they also said that they are having financial problems

And the slang kills me, one friend of my once wrote “cunt” instead of “cant”, Wondered if she knew what “cunt” is?? counted the letters in both words, and both have 4 letters, so why didnt she just write the correct one??

they broke the door of that house @4am and walked for like an hour to get to the main road, they left the body of that baby and they separated so she doesnt know what happend to the rest of them cos everyone there was just running for her/his life.

I always say relationships with broke men don’t stand a chance in hell!!! Sisanda did a great job of making Bonnie fall in love with him (as all broke men do – giving lots of love and adoration to get you hooked), but in the end, his inability to provide and his lack of funds drove him to his behaviour and ultimately the end of the relationship.

Hello hi Jc bloggers. Some ‘celebrities’ think they are own the tweeter streets, its actually sad and annoying. The asslicker and groupies must just relax tu! I really puzzles me why people repeatedly tweet ‘celebs’ like Sizwe dlomo, when they get dissed or not replied they lash out. Some even tweet celebs ——>>> “I love u,but you never reply to my tweets” ” or I think your hot *blush*\ *hides* but you never reply to my tweets. like WFT??!! Who’s care?! *seriously* get a life.

@asa
Halala #TeamHealthyliving #TeamFitness loosing weight is wonderful! The rewards of weight loss are sweet. Yes I go to the gym. I do spinning in the am from Mom-fri. In the evening do aerobics 3 times a week and then on sat I do cardio. My clothes are baggy and people are complementing me already . still have a long way to go.
asanwababe on Wed, 20th Jun 2012 11:35 am
@Samlicious, you can still lose the weight without cutting out meat. The trick (works for me) is in the way you prepare your food and the portions you eat. So instead of frying your meat, grill it. And also buy lean meat. And you can do stir frys, but watch the amount of oil you use. Portion control is really key, especially the starch part.
*my two cents*

@mamabear, it’s wonderful impela! I had to change my wardrobe, which felt good, but left me broke. When people ask me what I did, I tell them it’s a lifestyle change and not a diet, because i won’t be going back to my comfort eating self. Ngeke shem. Eish and I totally get what you mean about the clothes. When you see those nice jeans, but know ukuthi they’ll never make them in size 22, heartbreaking I tell you.

BlindFold on Wed, 20th Jun 2012 11:54 am
@Alexis, it is still a work in progress for me but the results are great, you eat your normal food, but replace papa, samp, pasta anything with wheat by rye bread and oh cut on the sugar

@Blind Fold,Help here :
I don’t eat bread, I hardly eat rice, I hardly eat pap, kahlekahle I hardly eat starch.I eat cereal and milk in the morning, Veggies and fish/chicken/livers/piece of steak , pro-vita sandwiches for lunch and fruits or tea for dinner. In general, I am not a junk consuming person, I snack on fruits. I have been living like this since I can remember…

1. Cereal is wheat
2. Pro vita is wheat
3. Livers have a very high percentage of carbs
I hope you eat skinless chicken and fat free milk.
When buying food please check the nutrtional infromation, the fat content should be less than 3g per 100ml in anything you eat. The amount of meat should be 180g a day not more than that. Eat less red meat and more white..remember 180g.

Hayi hayi hayi stop misleading other children! Any diet that is not balanced is not good period. A person should a eat all these nutrients they are there for a reason. The only thing is to eat less of the fatty stuff. Geez guys starvation diets are so 19voetsek. Eat a well balanced diet in small portios six times a day and drink lots of water, obvious exercise if you can. This way you manage to keep it off because you get used to a healthy diet that does not restrict you from eating anything. How can you not eat wheat? Hawu! I mean how is your body supposed to keep regular? I don’t wanna make this about me but those who know me will tell you how much weight I’ve lost and kept off and all I did was eat healthy nad eat from a side plate. I still do and my tummy is used to it such that it can’t take any more than a side plate. I still indulge in slap chips,McFlurry and ales when I feel like but the important thing is my daily diest is healthy.
mamabearlove on Wed, 20th Jun 2012 12:55 pm
@sama. Unyanisile. Its not a diet , its a healthy life style. It won’t be easy. It takes time and need pacience+endurance.one needs to just make a decision. I used to drink booze but not anymore, alcohol makes u gain weight especially ciders and soda drinks. I’ve stopped eating carbs and red meat. Meat I eat chicken and fish and drink loads of water 2liters a day.(I only drink H20) A trick I learned from sure slim you must have 5hrs between your 3 meals. Overload on fruit on veggies… The trick is to start at step at a time, like ditching red meat first|try to drink a litre a day.| taking walks.| instead of coffee have rooibos, herbal tea or green tea (freshpack)| instead of soda drinks, drink fruit juices|
missTmzee on Wed, 20th Jun 2012 12:56 pm

i tried the special K,it works neh but its not sustainable because its a ‘diet’ not eating plan. I think you were hungry because you were not snacking. Try it this way ,have special K in the morning then snack on the special K bars before lunch then have a protein high, good fat lunch then snack on fruit between lunch n supper then have special K for supper.
i ate like that for exams in varsity because i gain weight when i stress
then after i go baack to normal eating habits (well healthy one)

Another thing that you people should understand is you can’t be a size 6 forever. At 22(7years ago) when I was pregnant with my first child I was weighing 55 and right now that would be underweight. I did my BMI test before losing weight and I know my minimum and maximum weight but I chose to settle for the maximium which is 68(for my 1.65m height) and I’m still a bit more than that but I refuse to be skinny. I’m a size 36/34 and whatever Joburg standards say that is my right size with my right weight and I’m happy with it. Geez I can’t live my life looking over my shoulder and feeling guilty with every slice of carrot cake or every bottle of wine. Bathong!

If you overweight adopt a heathy eating plan that works for you not starvation diets, you will lose the weight and keep it off while leading a good healthy lifestyle.

This is for @samlicious (now I’m not so sure of the spelling) but she said something about wanting to lose weight and loving meat too much! Guess what? That’s great (the fact that you love meat), I’m not going to tell you about the Protein and fat diet cause even though that’s how me and my sister lost weight (God knows we did not even need to lose any weight, it was just a test but it works like magic…I’ve stayed a size 6 since then) it’s just NOT healthy!
You can lose a great deal of weight by simply cutting on ALL forms of Carbs (I don’t mean don’t eat them) I mean eat as little as possible. E.g 1 slice of bread a day, I don’t eat veges so I can’t be telling you to eat that, carbs are your biggest enermy. When you are used to not eating them, your stomach reacts badly when you all of a sudden have a lot, which then motivates you to eat less. So….Goodluck! *does not hide*

Please do not be fooled by ‘Low fat’ and ‘Fat free’ labels. It is all a marketing strategy to make people believe that they will gain something out of it.
I don’t wanna get all scientific up in here but…a simple example is milk, milk has all the nutritional content it has because they are necessary, there are different types of fats and NOT all of them are bad, the fat that is in the MILK is NOT bad for you, what makes matters even worse is that when we process the milk and remove the ‘fat’you cannot get rid of all the fat or be left with just 2% (lies), the worse part is to compensate for the loss of ‘milky flavour’ atrificial sugar is added, and that is WORSE than the fat in the milk. So, for your own good, buy full cream milk, yoghurt, ice-cream…etc. #OverAndOut

Eeeeeeh, one more thing. Someone said they get a flat stomach by cutting on wheat, if you are a woman please brace yourself for the WORST case of hemorrhoids in the future. Women, especially need to eat as much fibre as possible!
Whoever said tightening your muscles is the best road to a flat stomach is right. Do sit ups, push ups, whatever…you will be smiling after giving birth, and eat lots of fibre, cause those piles might strike when you are pregnant…it’s a nutritional-hormonal thing really.
The 3 day diet from the heart foundation is your best bet, and no it’s NOT really a 3 day diet, it’s a 2 months diet just 3 days a week for 8 weeks (for optimum results). And it will also teach you healty eating as you get to read up about the types of food you eat and WHY (it’s very balanced diet, just small necessary potions)….and then go to gym.

@ Kamzababy to calculate BMI =Weight(kg)÷height(m) x height(m)
E.g. Say a person weighs 65kg and is 1.58m 65kg ÷ 1.58 x 1.58=20.5
BMI less than 18.5 is underweight,between 18.5 – 24.9 is normal,between 25 – 29.9 is overweight and 30 above is obesity…
You don’t need to join the gym to loose some weight, walking, using stairs, mild jogging, dancing, those little moves you do daily make a bit of a difference nyana. For mkhaba try walking and sitting with your tummy tucked in everyday,it helps to tighten the muscles..

The News 24 article mentioned that the Thai police acted on a tip of. Now I believe it when they say these drug mules are just a distraction. Apparently while the police are busy with a 2kg bust, a 50kg package is passing right in front of them and they are too distracted to notice. Like really, who calls the police every time these woman land in Asian? Now it really makes sense to ME of course.

SWORN STATEMENT MADE BY NOLUBABALO NOBANDLA TO ADVOCATE NTSIKELELO JOSEPH SANDI re: HER CASE IN THE CRIMINAL COURT OF BANGKOK IN THAILAND SCHEDULED FOR HEARING ON 11 JUNE 2012 I the undersigned, NOLUBABALO NOBANDLA, do hereby state under oath that, 1. I am a 23 year old female and a citizen of the Republic of South Africa currently being held at Klong Prem Central Prison in Bangkok. 2. I am charged with bringing 600 grams of cocaine in Thailand. 3. I have already pleaded guilty to the charge and explained how I landed in Thailand with 600 grams of cocaine. I did not even know the weight and the type of drugs I was carrying into Thailand. Initially it was said that the weight was 1,500 grams which I did not challenge because I had no idea of what I was carrying. All I knew was that I was forced to take drugs to John, a Nigerian gentleman, and Sulezo a South African woman who had persuaded me to go to Brazil under the pretext that I was accompanying her to get a job from Tony, also a Nigerian. 4. The only reason why I have pleaded guilty is because I cannot deny that I brought the drugs to Thailand. However, the court must understand how it happened and when sentencing me, to show mercy and understanding. 5. I am not a drug trafficker but a victim of the human trafficking business that is conducted in South Africa by foreigners who come to the country under the pretext that they are running from persecution in their countries. Others claim that they have come to establish businesses and employ the local population. 6. In my last appearance the Honorable Judge questioned me about my story. I am however not certain if the court fully understood and appreciated my story and I now give a detailed sequence of events which landed me in this country on 13 December 2011. My State-appointed attorney Ms Woranuch Page 2 of 6 Sittivicharpinyo can hardly say a word of English and I cannot speak Thai. She consulted with me through an interpreter and I am concerned that she may not have fully understood my story so that she can effectively represent me. The affidavits that are before court were prepared for me by Advocate Sandi from South Africa and got them translated into Thai. 7. I consent that the authorities in South Africa may use my statement to investigating the activities of human traffickers in that country. These are acts whereby the targeted women are promised with jobs overseas, but only to find themselves trapped in a spider web of drug traffickers in foreign countries….cont.
?8. This is how I was deceived and induced to travel to Brazil where I was forced to carry drugs to Thailand. Round about November in 2011, I was approached by my friend, Sulezo Rwanqa, from my home town, Grahamstown, South Africa. She said she had a Nigerian friend in Port Elizabeth whose name was Samuel Uchengu. I did not know Samuel personally and all I knew was that he was once married with a lady from Grahamstown. His nickname is “Tuko”. He has a shop in Central where he operates from his house at Upper Hill Street with a writing on the wall, “New Age”. 9. Sulezo told me that Samuel had a brother in Brazil whose name is Tony Achengu. Tony was running a business in Brazil of selling hair chemicals. Sulezo said she had been given a job by Tony to sell hair chemicals for him. Sulezo was reluctant to go to Brazil alone as she had never been to that country before. She also did not know Tony personally. I very much trusted Sulezo as we grew up together and she was very well-known to my family. 10. Sulezo wanted me to accompany her to Brazil to fetch the hair chemicals which she was going to be selling for him in South Africa. In excitement, I agreed. At the time I had just started a business of catering through help from my aunt and her husband, who are both business people. I also saw a business opportunity for me and Sulezo said that was precisely the reason she had approached me. She had previously assisted me in my catering business. I was also excited about going overseas. 11. Later in November 2011 we went to see Samuel who confirmed what Sulezo had told me. He said we should not worry about travelling expenses. He was Page 3 of 6 going to buy us the tickets and give us pocket money for the trip. Tony was going to pay the money back to him. He bought the flight tickets at a travel agent in Greenacres, Port Elizabeth. I do not know or remember the name of the travel agent. 12. But on his return Samuel said he had not been able to book us seats in the same Flight because it was full and the next flight only had one seat available. He had been forced to separate us by booking Sulezo in an earlier flight which was leaving on a day before mine, and me in a different flight. We were to fly from Cape Town International Airport to Argentine and from there to Brazil. Samuel said I should not worry because Sulezo and Tony were going to fetch me at the airport in Brazil. 13. Although I was not happy with this arrangement I still agreed to go as I did not suspect anything. Samuel said the flights had already been booked and could not be changed. He would lose all his money if he went back to the travelling agent to cancel the tickets. So Sulezo then left first. 14. Sulezo and one gentleman came to fetch me. Tony had already phoned the hotel where I was going to be accommodated whilst in Brazil. The name of the hotel is Topiza in the city of Sao Paulo. 15. The following day Sulezo told me that Tony had said there was a certain lady who was going to meet us at the bus stop. She did not tell me her surname except that she was a South African. When we met the lady she confirmed being South African. She was much older than Sulezo and me. Her name was Hilda. She said she was employed by Tony and her duty was to receive people who had come to work for Tony. It was her task to take such people to a place owned by Tony where they would be trained. But she first wanted to know if we knew what we were coming to do in Brazil. Sulezo said yes we did. Hilda said she was upset that she had not been told that we were very young people, because the work we were coming to do was very hard and dangerous….cont.
?16. I asked Hilda what she meant by dangerous. She said it was about selling and delivering drugs for the Nigerians. I was very shocked and afraid for my life. I realized that I had been lured into a trap. I looked at Sulezo who did not utter a word. Hilda said she had been doing the job for many years. She said she was once convicted in Brazil and was sentenced to four years’ Page 4 of 6 imprisonment for smuggling drugs for the Nigerians. When she was released on parole she went back to South Africa but came back to Brazil as she could not get work there. She also knew Samuel and said Samuel was recruiting South African women for Tony and other Nigerians based in Brazil selling drugs. 17. I told Hilda that I was not prepared to be a drugs smuggler. I then told her what Sulezo had told me. She said it was too late for me to say that. If the Nigerians got to know that I was not going to do the work, they could even kill me or eliminate me in one or the other. No person would know anything about what happened to me. She advised me not to escape but to pretend that I was willing to do the work. According to Hilda, the Nigerians were very brutal people who could do anything for money. I took her advice to pretend I was willing to deliver the drugs. 18. Hilda said some women had tried to escape but were found out by the Nigerians. Nobody knows what happened to those women. She said the Nigerians could even attack my family in South Africa if I they thought I was a threat to their activities. She also said the Nigerians who were selling drugs were very well-connected world-wide, including South Africa. They had a lot of money to bribe the police and even politicians. She said nothing would happen to them if I got killed. Even the owner of the hotel where we stayed was possibly a friend of the Nigerians and I could not go and report to him to call the police. She also said the Nigerians had friends in many international airports and would know if I reported at the airport that I was being forced to deliver drugs. When sent on a mission some one would follow me without me knowing. 19. Initially, I thought Sulezo, just like me had been misled by Samuel and Tony, but when she did not look shocked at all by what we were being told by Hilda, I was concerned. From that moment onward I was too afraid of Sulezo and felt that she had misled me. I never told Sulezo that I was not a willing to work for the Nigerians. 20. Hilda took us to a certain house where we met two gentlemen and two ladies, all being Nigerians. I do not remember their names. The “training” then started. We were to swallow the drugs wrapped up in condoms so that when we got to the point where we had to deliver the drugs, we could just Page 5 of 6 eject them from our bodies at the toilet. I cried and said I could not swallow the staff. I was vomiting but I was forced to try. I was repeatedly told that this was the job I had come to do. I was screaming very hard in the hope that the Nigerians would release me and let me go back home. I was also cursing myself for having been so stupid. 21. They then suggested that the drugs were going to be wrapped up around my hair. To this I agreed, seeing it as away out of Brazil. They told me that no person would take any notice of my hairstyle. The two Nigerian ladies then wrapped up the drugs around my hair. This took several hours. The weight around my head was so heavy that my head was painful. I was so dizzy that I could not walk around at and had to sleep. I was told not to worry. I would soon get used to the load on my head. I took about 8 pain killers to relieve myself from the pains. I was tired and exhausted. When I got up I was still feeling dizzy….cont..
22. When I got up I was told that I was going to be taken to the airport and be flown to a place to deliver the drugs. No name was mentioned of the place where I was going to deliver the drugs. So I thought I was going to deliver the drugs within Brazil. At the airport I learnt from the ticket that I was actually being sent to Thailand. There I was going to meet Sulezo and one John whose cellular mobile phone number was given to me by Tony. 23. Sulezo had left Brazil about a day or two before I left for Thailand. I was not told where she was going. I was only told that she had gone to Thailand at the Brazil Airport when I was just about to check in and fly to Thailand. The Nigerians also told me that Sulezo was not like me because she was “bold and strong”. She had taken 15 kg of drugs to someone in Thailand. I was going to be paid R 16,000.00 for delivering the drugs on my dreadlocks. 24. When I came to the airport in Thailand, it seemed that the immigration officers already knew that I was coming, because they went straight for me and took me to a separate room. There the television cameras had already been set up. I told the police that I was coming to Sulezo and John. They phoned the two but their cellular phones were off. I told the police to let me go but follow me until I meet Sulezo and John, they refused. I said I would keep on phoning the two until they answered. They still refused. Page 6 of 6 25. Obviously, I made an error of judgment in this matter for which I am now forced to pay a heavy price. In retrospect, I should have been more cautious in my dealings with Sulezo and Samuel. I deeply regret the hurt this incident has caused to my family, my mother in particular. Already, I am receiving reports that since I was arrested her health has worsened and she is now receiving medical treatment for acute stress. In fact, I have already apologized to her and the family at large. I also apologize to our government in South Africa and the nation as a whole. To this court, I express my heart-felt apology that I was not suspicious enough even before I left South Africa. I am not a drug trafficker and I do not even know how drugs look like. 26. By the time I came to Brazil there was no way of turning the clock back and pull myself out of the sophisticated web of deception of which Sulezo was apparently a part. This is confirmed by the fact that although Sulezo was in Thailand, she was never arrested until she left. Since she returned to South Africa, she has not visited my family. 27. Even Hilda was possibly part of the deception. She just wanted to know if I was genuine and if not to report that to the Nigerians. I was sent to Thailand simply to get rid of me and to ensure that I would not go back to South Africa and report Samuel to the police. 28. I humbly request this Honorable Court to consider this background and how I was deceived.

My neighbour was approached by a Nigerian that lives in our complex. The guy told her about a shoe factory in Brazil, that since she’s stylish…she will be responsible for buying the shoes which are sold in a factory in Durban. At first, the guy was saying she’s gonna collect the shoes, and when she asked why don’t they use DHL since it’s cheaper….that’s when she was told about being a buyer. The guy promised her R30 000 for every trip she was going to make.
But she kept on probing him more, until he decided to tell the truth that it’s actually drugs that she will be fetching. Tjooo…..I couldn’t believe the modus operandi to used to lure people. She was told that she will be bought a return ticket to Namibia, but she will get off in Jozi when coming back to lessen the risk. Her luggage will be taken care of by someone and she doesn’t have to worry about being caught! Tjo

If that’s the case our goverment must intervene cos clearly SA women are easy target for these Nigerians.

A friend whose husband is nigerian invited me to her church in Hyde Park hehehe i dicovered when i was there that the husband is a drug lord and the boys in the choir are his (meaning they deal for him) and he sponsors the church and i was intrigued because the guy is very quite and prays to God every day he even fasts ! i was beyond shocked but ke hhayi each to their own! All these SA & Zimbabwean girls married to nigerians and have shoe shops or hair shops always have something very unnatural is going on in their lives!

Yho, really sad.
I think I was also almost a victim. # years back when I was job hunting and desperate, I saw a post on gumtree I think of opportunities overseas, and they would take care of everything for my “12″ months there, my salary would be purely mine, no expenses.
I went to the website, it was dodgy for an international company. It was incomplete, and the telephone was never answered. i started asking questions via email, and on the third e-mail I noticed the bad english used, then realised that the email address was the companyname@yahoo.com… thats when I stoped.

Nigerians are ruthless, they all about Moowney shwem God Forbid! i know a girl who’s been dating this Nija dude for years now, she would take a bus to CT I mean WFT for when there’s planes and stuff and she would come back after a day or 2,until this one time the cops raided their house and found abt 200k banked in the house, i mean who the hell keeps that kinda money in the house. Cops are corrupt thou coz they confiscated the money and nothing was heard of the case nor the money. Question is why was she taking a bus to CT 2 make a U-turn the following day?
Alexis on Thu, 21st Jun 2012 2:43 pm
I think it’s time for me to talk people. Mna i went there first and left Babsie here in SA, so then she followed. If ever she didn’t wanna do it she could have said no, but she went anyway. So we met in Brazil, then i left her here. I got lucky that they didn’t bust me. So what did i do that got her arrested? So please stop blaming me. So all in all, you guys are saying it should have been me that got arrested but i am truly sorry that she got busted, but i cant change the situation now, i really hope that you’ll forgive me because i also lost a friend in her. Thanks to all who have given me support and the benefit of the doubt.. Phew!

From what i remember Sulezi was stuck in Thailand for over a week after Nolubabalo was arrested before she made her way home & told the government, media and Nobandas family 2 leave her alone as she had nothing 2 say, now if the police in Thailand knew of her details and her involvement in the drug smuggling why the hell didnt they red flag her @ the airport and borders so she could face the music? This gives me the impression that they really are in cahoots with the syndicate, they are being bribed 2 let them pass thru.
Lapho lo Sulezi wakhona wrote on fb that she feels bad for her friend but people mustnt blame her, she was lucky she didnt get caught & the nigerians didnt even pay her what they had promised. Her friends and family were attacking the Nobandas till sum1 copied and pasted Babsies statement bathula duu after Sulezi got caught in a lie. Smh who needs enemies with friends like that?

I did check out her profile last year, & towards going to Brazil it seemed like she was splashing money on her friends saying there is more where that came from.. I don’t quite remember where i read that.
Anyway, judging from her statement, she sounds like a smart woman who wouldn’t fall for the things she wrote there. Why on earth didn’t the guy just deliver the goods instead of having to people fly all the way there just to fetch hair products. She knew exactly what she was doing and too bad she got caught and now she’s playing victim.

My aunt worked at SAA and a colleague of hers was caught with drugs at the Heathrow airport. Think the lady was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
Hai this is sad hey. Nna i think i would’ve taken the risk to try and run away. Even though that would’ve proved to be difficult in a foreign country and all. I cant imagine going through such trauma.
A lady was on Redi’s show, ahortly after Babsie’s arrest, she says she was framed by her then boyfriend. She says the boyfriend had given her a parcel. Kanti when they searched her bags BOOM… that was it…

@dejane…..I’ve read a story about the Durban gals, who ran away from these naijas. They said that when they got to the Sao Paulo airport, instead of going to Thailand as expected, they tricked the airport staff into changing their tickets to South Africa by pleading poverty and being lost in a foreign country. They said that they came home with the stash and went straight to the police….though they live in fear, they ran away from the whole thing

So this girl, openly admits to being a drug mule, and still has or claims she has people that given her the benefit of the doubt. Eish taba ya di drugs e boima straight. A guy was fired at work, for being in possession of cocaine. A young talented dude, that was working on his way up. He had a good thing going. Then BOOM, fired just like that.

thanx Lela…that FB statement of Nolubabalo asidibani with what she is saying here..ngoba if she was really in trouble as she says, then she could have posted that too – to alert family and friends that she is being forced to traffick drucks; her aunt is an advocate mos – she would have known on what to do. I feel sorry for her; but she knew that she was trafficking drugs, but they used her yena. You dont go overseas and not tell your family or other friends about it- ngoba they would have warned her, but no she was thinkig about being the richest chick nge festive without working hard for her moolah..
what dont the police question Sulezi about this nigerians and arrest them?
That R250000 is too much for any one- ill rather spend two extra years then forking that money. She left them broke – where must they get all that money now..

Last year around the festive season I was approached by 4 Nigerian guys I got introduced to by my former-colleagues. They were part of a international money laundering scheme. The plan was to use a Standard Bank Cheque Account as a money trafficking platform to send money to Dubai. They told me to empty my account then they were gonna send it via EFT and give me some to deposit and then my job would be to direct it to a Saudi Arabian/Dubai account thru mine. It was just too much work even though they promised me over 100K as my account was gonna transfer MILLIONS of rands over a period of 6 months. I chicken out. It was just too much work and too much to lose. These Nigerian/Foreign African Mafia Syndicates are similar to the Italian/European Mafia Syndicates in the sense that they come across as very religious/deeply rooted in GOD. It just adds to their allure.
Another syndicate that I know consists of Nigerian/African Foreigners who masquerade as charismatic pastors yet behind the scenes collude with Banking officials in Property Deals. All of these Men I’m talking about run Real Estate businesses in the South of JHB(Turffontein/The Glen/South Gate Suburbs/Mondeor area. They then bribe bank bond originators/officials to manipulate the figures so that their clients bonds are approved even if they don’t qualify. They work w/ FNB/STND Bank officials. I know this because I used to work for a bond origination firm and one of these Pastors/Property business owners was friends w/ our directors and other bank staff. Their claws are everywhere. These Nigerian pastors will make you tithe w/ you life, money, and wife. They are dangerous.
Sundani on Thu, 21st Jun 2012 6:00 pm
Gosh sometimes our justice system its the worst in the world tjo.
Sulezo just made a confession of dealing in drugs and she is not yet arrest.
I feel sorry for Babsie.
Sundani on Thu, 21st Jun 2012 6:23 pm
I wish our airports have the searching system like the one in Bangkok and Australia instead of wasting money by improving Inkandla and bringing abo Beyonce to perform for 15 minutes and get millions.
I don’t blame people for xenophobia attacks if they are not smuggling drugs, its money laundering or its scanning devices.
Thase on Fri, 22nd Jun 2012 2:00 am
Tjo tjo tjo. Poor Babsie, ke sono shem. She must JBS and serve her setence, dont think the Thailand officials will agree to sed her to SA, hope they do.
You right Sundani, I was so shocked when I came home in March and at the airport the lady just asked me what was in the bags and I said clothes and she was like ok you can go, no searching or Xraying the bags nje. I think thats why its eady to smuggle drugs to SA, they are relaxed those people at the airport. In some countries, they will search the bags million times. In Dubai they even make you take the shoes ooff if you are wearing closed shoes to check for drugs…
Thase on Fri, 22nd Jun 2012 2:18 am
Eish nigerians are something else I tell you. I met this nigerian guy in 2008, very cute. He claimed that he stayed in the US (didnt believe him) but wanted to start a business in SA. And was thinking why SA, cant you go and start one in Naija and the thing that made me run for my life was the dude used to fly to Cape Town every 2 days, which didn’t make sense. I think he was transporting drugs I tell you, should have reported him to the police but I just disappeared and even changed my number.
Miss T on Fri, 22nd Jun 2012 7:30 am
@Kimmo. I’ll be going home (Naija)on da 28th luv. My hubby is nowhere near these people ya’ll r talking abt. My man wakes with me every morning & we both get ready 4work. He works in a corporate environment, gets a payslip monthly & has nothin 2do wit drugs. So don’t worry I hav a gud responsible family man
Fab Tee on Fri, 22nd Jun 2012 9:49 am
@Fezzy, a confession isnt enough to get someone arrested without evidence, I could post on my facebook that i killed a man, that isnt enough to get me arrested without a body or murder weapon, so should they charge Sulezi now, those charges wouldnt stick in court coz there’s no evidence save for what she yena is saying
