So much for expecting a better season. Kaizer Chiefs is like that handsome guy with money, drives the best car and says all the right things but terrible in bed. what a waste.

You didn’t have to be a football expert or fanatic to see that the “best defence” of Gould and Gaxa was not working at ALL. So ke Baxter should have had a plan B of which he obviously didn’t have.

  19. kakapana on Mon, 6th Aug 2012 9:46 pm

Although I’m not going to place the blame solely on Bob Stake but he made some dubious decisions last seasons, releasing tried and tested players like Nengomashe, Sweswe…I mean how to you sell the General, that guy is Chiefs midfield (full stop). He was for Chiefs what Stevie G is for Liverfool, what Franky is for Chelsea and dare I say what Manyisa is (currently)for Pirates. The guy had spent more than a decade at Naturena giving his all, tirelessly and they just chuck him out like that.

  20. kakapana on Mon, 6th Aug 2012 9:51 pm

I’m not saying they should have kept him out of “loyalty” but Tinashi could still go out there and deliver for Chiefs, he was a diligent someone, never made the Sunday papers headlines and in my books he was a consummate midfielder, I rated him highly!

  21. kakapana on Mon, 6th Aug 2012 9:56 pm

And how do you replace Tinashi with Siyabonga Nkosi??? Like really??? Bobby really sacrificed quality for quantity with his signings this season. Actually it started last season when he decided to let go off Punch and sale him to Sundowns for a meagre fee!!

  22. kakapana on Mon, 6th Aug 2012 10:00 pm

But take away nothing from Sundowns, they had a good game plan and they executed it perfectly. The “old” McModise is back, the hunger was there, he played a role in all four goals. Sundowns signings were spot on (three of their signings scored on debut)

  23. kakapana on Mon, 6th Aug 2012 10:02 pm

Okay, I’m heading back to Silentville now

  24. kakapana on Mon, 6th Aug 2012 10:04 pm

Hopefully Pirates will hire me there (Silentville) Lord knows I’ve tried to get a job at that team…oh well :(
