Boity Beefing With Minnie? Apparently Not.

Boity has been slowly carving a name for herself in the industry. We first got to know her as Khaya’s girlfriend, then the Cheesenator girl, then she was at every event, then followed her casting as the leading lady on Loyiso Bala’s music video, then she did Media something something show on SABC 1, then her current show Zoned and the announcement that she’s the face of Iman Cosmetics.

What we didn’t know, and yes it is a fact, is that Boity was also shortlisted for the role Minnie currently plays on The Wild, Zinhle. Actually, Boity thought it was a done deal but in the final moments, it was decided the role would be given to Minnie. My information is that the decision was based on the fact that Minnie already had a huge following, due to her LIVE gig, so the producers of The Wild went with the one who was bound to get them more exposure. Minnie.

I can’t talk about the Generations thing coz I don’t know about it but according to Sunday Sun, Boity was also supposed to get the role Minnie was given but at the last minute, Mfundi Vundla is alleged to have said Boity doesn’t have talent, resulting in Minnie getting the role.

On to the drama:

Sunday Sun published an article titled “Battle Of The Babes. Minnie gets all the breaks, says Boity”.

The article refers to Boity’s Bona cover story where she mentions that she didn’t get the 2 roles because they were given to Minnie. Her manager, Sean McCollet tell us that Boity mentioned that to the mag while talking about some of the challenges she has come across in the industry. He tells Just Curious:

“Sunday Sun misquoted Boity. The Bona magazine interview is still on stands so everyone can read it and they can see that they blew it out if proportion.Boity has never spoken badly about Minnie and is too busy to be speaking to the tabloid about jealousy. Boity has just signed a huge deal which will be announced soon and she is perfectly content with the rate that her career is going. Boity spoke to Minnie about the issue and there is no blood between the two.”

Ayi, the things we have to blog about these days… I’m too old for this.

Anyway, guess the question is whether Boity was wrong to bring up Minnie in her Bona interview?

If you are still lost… what this means is that in this situation, Minnie is Bonang and Boity is Minnie….

Hmmm, why did she mention Minnie though in an interview about her successes? I smell something fishy in this whole thing.
Lol at the Bonang comparison. I hope she has signed the papers already with this huge deal her manager is talking about or she must watch out for Minnie. How hot is Minnie in the pic?

@elagni The Sunday Sun story is about the Scirocco. Apparently the 50 year-old sugar daddy took his car back (he bought for Lizelle) and gave it to another nyatsi of his, who is Joyce’s friend. The nyatsi changed addresses after breaking up with George Leshaba, so George reported the vehicle missing. The cops arrested Joyce for drunken drive and she happened to be driving the scirroco at the time cause her friend was hiding it at her place. So the cops found that the vehicle was reported missing and returned it to the owner who then dropped the charges. *whew*
