I hijacked Lebza ka last minute and asked him to accompany me to The Feather Awards Nominees Announcement at The Venue in Green Park, Sandton. Beautiful venue but as usual we got lost. As long as I am with Lebza, we always get lost.
The place is not too complicated to find but they should have at least put signs or banners outside that big building to make it easy for guests since the place is very new. Anyway let me focus on what’s important. Lol
We arrived when it was time to socialize, network, eat & drink. The place was packed with Media & Celebs mostly the nominees. And here are the pictures.
The Founder of the Feather Awards Thami Kotlolo gave a speech before introducing this year’s nominees. He thanked the entire team that has been supportive from day 1. It’s now the 4th year and it seems The Feathers are getting bigger and bigger.
Olwethu, was busy interviewing guests. Those who watch the LKG show will remember Olwethu from there.

Koyo Bala on the other hand was also busy terrorizing people. Poor Zola Hashatsi. Lol
I heard Bujy will be the MC at the main event. I don’t know how true it is. Let’s hope he will hold it down. We had Kuli Roberts & Kenneth Nkosi last year and they nailed it.

For the very first time I met Melody Motha. When Lebza introduced her to me I was shocked. She is so tiny. We chatted, laughed about JC bloggers and their ‘love’ for her. For a moment I thought she was going to refuse to pose for us but she is cool yena shem, very pretty too. She is posing here with another hottie Lerato Kganyago who’s nominated in 2 categories.
Also saw DJ Miza. This guy is too cute. I’m gonna ignore his height that I always make fun of. He is nominated for Socialite of the year. Death!
Still on nominees, Mome and her husband Tol Ass Mo are in the running for best couple. I really would like to be a fly on the wall in their house. Do they ever get serious?
Madam Gigi, Somgaga, Somizi wouldn’t have missed this one. He said JC bloggers only love him when they feel like it. ‘Most of the times they diss me but ke anginandaba. I remain fabulous’ hahahahah
Ses’khona Presenter Tsholo Maseko also showed face. She is spreading her wings into acting. Let’s see if she really has got it going on.
If you have been following the MTV VJ Search you will know Nomuzi Mabena. I think she was also on the Live Presenter search.
Back to the nominees. Lela’s other husband Sphe with Lunga Shabalala and DJ Naves. Lunga is up for Hunk of the year. Sphe & Naves are up for the cutest couple. Lol
I was happy to see Theo Nhlengethwa from Boom Shaka. He hardly goes out this one.
Tina Mkwaiwa is nominated for Drama Queen of the year with the Bishop & Tshidi from Idols. I honestly think there wasn’t much drama from these nominees. Tshidi nominated for only saying ‘don’t jump on me’? What did Tina do this year?
The only person that’s killing me on this list is Bishop Keith Harrington. There was drama there for sure. They should have put Mbhoro & Julius Malema too. Or even the guy that did the Zuma painting. Tl tl tl tl
