Call To Vote For Your Sports Star Of The Year

Nominees of the 2012 SA Sports Awards have been announced and now the organisers are calling for you to vote for the Sport Star of the Year.
The Top 7 Sporst Star Of The Year nominees are:
- Hashim Amla, who was the Sports Star of last year’s awards played a key role in the Proteas’ participation in the World T20 International in Sri Lanka.
- Paralympics Gold Medallist Natalie Du Toit
- Oscar Pistorius who made history this year by being the first double amputee to compete in both the Olympics and Paralympics
- The man who brought the country’s first gold medal at the Olympics Chad le Clos
- Moroka Swallows player, Siyabonga Nomvete who continues to defy age by sheer professionalism on the Soccer pitch
- Queen of the track Caster Semenya
- Vernon Philander whose Cricketing exploits helped the country to be top ranked in their tour to England
To vote simply SMS “SPORTS” followed by the Athlete’s corresponding letter (A-G) to 33617.

The Organisers of the SA Sports Awards have set aside R1 million, plus a luxury car for the Sport Star of the Year & voters stand a chance to win a 1Series BMW.
Voting closes on the 4th of November at 12h00 and the winner of the SA Sports Star of the Year will be announced at a glamorous Awards at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg.

Gonna vote for Chad LeClos, no1 deserves it more than him, clinching Gold from Michael Phelps had me on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t help but shed a few tears when he stood proud on that podium accepting Gold with the national anthem playing.
Thought I’d also point out that Cameron Van der Burg won the first gold, not Chad!
