Fun At SABC 2′s Live Rugby Experience

My first EVER experience of a live rugby game was courtesy of SABC 2 and that I will never forget! It was also one of the toughest games for the Springboks, facing New Zealand… so not the best game to start with but the atmosphere at the stadium was great, and I liked it so much I’m considering going back again. I think the more I go watch, the easier it will be for me to finally understand the game. I need something else to watch now that my fave has quit Bafana anyway…

Thanks to Zandi and Caroline from SABC for their hospitality. SABC 2  hosted media, viewers and SABC 2 personalities and it was a fun, chilled Saturday, and we even scored original Boks jerseys. Like, how else could I have gotten a Boks jersey, dankie SAUK.

Ingrid from 7de Laan on the far left with fans and Themba Nofemele from Muvhango. I met Themba for the first time there and when I saw him there I was like “huuu… hope he didn’t read that blog. ” lol

 7de Laan’s Jacques Blignaut with fans. He’s such a nice guy man… actually SABC 2 personalities are very down to earth, they aren’t your typical “celebrities”… Real people.

I was shocked when I started talking to Vuyo Mbuli and heard he didn’t know JC. We need to push guys… we can’t have media personalities who don’t know us? heheheheh.

I think this was when it was clear that the Boks weren’t gonna win that game… That’s Parsons aka Tshepo Maseko with a phone in his hand. He’s a trip! LOL

Themba is quite popular hey! He got stopped and stopped and stopped by fans.

A big shout out to SABC 2 for a great day, the prezzies and a chance to meet and mingle with your personalities. Please invite us again next time :-)

    No Monei, the rugby match was ko FNB, most people went to Orlando stadium to watch the match there.. Pro performed earlier in the afternoon.. So nekile ko orlando stadium and judging from the pic, the celebs were at orlando stadium..

    I also attended the game, my very first Boks game, and i would pay R560.00 to watch another gamein. I attended it with one of my “white” friends. Organised a taxi for and off we went to soccer city. even though I was the only darkie there it was great. Rugby games are different from soccer games for one the whites get there early have a braai. I got all teary eyed when the brought out Joost, regardless of what he did in the past. He was a fantastic player.
