Random Post!

You know…  if you have ever heard “This industry is fake”, trust me, take that and always remember it. Especially those of you trying to break into entertainment.

If you’ve wondered why I’m in it but also not really in it… it’s because I can’t be in such a world. I’m very naive… I trust people nje by default. For me, life should be simple… you say what you mean, mean what you say… when you smile with a person, it should be because you want to smile, not because you have ulterior motives, but that’s not how the entertainment industry is. So for naive little me, my position is kinda cool… one foot in to kinda give me a good view of what’s going on in there, but the rest of my body is out there with the rest of the world & that’s exactly how I like it.

It’s also important to know your position, coz that will determine how you deal with things.

Firstly, the industry is small… everyone wants to make it, so once you seem to be doing well, there will be lots of forces that will try to bring you down so they can take your spot. Be careful… Not even any of these friendships you see out there are real. People get close to you for a reason. To find out how they can tear you down.

I will tell you this… you see abo “my friend this and that” in public and on social networks? Ba jikelana FAST kabi in private… so don’t be impressed, most of what you see is really FAKE. Like the industry it’s in. This is not something new, we’ve all heard it a thousand times… I’m just reminding those who keep forgetting.

I always avoid writing such negativity… I ignore it but felt like I needed to say this, and now that I’ve said it, I hope it will mean something to someone.

It’s a fake industry, kid, be careful. Not everyone is your friend so when you make it… never forget your family because they will be there when everything and everyone else disappears.

    I agree with this 100% truth.
    My problem is with lupi:
    1. Wasn’t he dishing (old)gossip about celebrities a week ago?
    2. He became Famous(in joburg) by dishing gossip on Y’lens (dj sbu’s show on yfm)
    3 whenever gona le diawards on TV he makes fun of celebrities and gossips about them.
    4 SO what’s his problem with tabloids en gossip sites?
    isit because they’re doing a better job and ba thola le dibenefits which he never got?
    5 Haaii man He likes to terrorise(sp) people on twitter and this celebrities are scared of him,a ke tsebe y?They are more famous than him but You’ll swear he’s the Kingpin and every1 needs to worship him in order to make it.
    6 If sizwe dhlomo(typoist) corrected/RT his spelling was he gonna throw a tantrum like he did with JC? NO. Infact he was gonna laugh it off like they all do.
    7 Lastly he likes to befriend the new kids in the industry eg khaya mthethwa,minnie/successful ones eg sizwe etc so he can feel important kante wa ba user.

    So true. I look at these celebs and just think ‘WOW’. I remember when Minnie got punched at Hush and the only person that supported her was Uyanda nabo Mablerh.     Entertainament industry or not, this world is full of fakes so nje one must get rid of toxic people. First hand I know this, been through it all and right now I am happiest with being my own best friend and my closest friend being my boyfriend, my family being at the top of my friendship list. This way I don’t get to be implicated in gossips I don’t care who said what about who!

    i got a job as a news-reader for SABC1 fot the 5pm slots. as a young person from the Coast(s) that job was what could have changed my life for the worst i think, becasue the stipend they were offering would not cover my expenses (my car, rent, clothes, food, family etc). so i opted not to take the job. it would have forced me to stay in a shack somewhere in Tembisa (not that its a bad place to stay in), car-less and all. but i would have taken it for longing for fame and would probably end up doing things i would not have done so that i save face.

    It’s a fake world nje, not just limited to the industry. Be it in the work place, social circles, etc. Be careful who u allow in yr personal space. Not all the people who smile at u and laugh with u and say that they are happy for u, are genuine. C’est la vie. My grandmother always used to say ayikho into ekthiwa umngan emhlabeni. Be yr own best friend, ungalokhu uhlekela noma ubani!! No one knows u better than yrself. On the otherhand, no man is an island. Always be cautious when allowing people into yr life, keep them minimal. Associate with great people that add meaning and purpose into yr life, that make you aspire for great things and vice versa.

    This is why I have delayed my move to Joharzadsburg. I refuse to deal with the entertainment industry, like be IMMERSED in it like my colleagues. Being in Durban gives me that sanity and like BS, I have one foot in, and one foot out.

    It’s generally a fake world. I was in Swaziland and Moza this past week (Lupi was there too and he was really nice) and the faking that was going on. I ended up being called an arrogant SOB and mean person because I didn’t want to be involved in a situation where I had to resort to being fake. It’s a fake world, it’s just that the entertainment industry highlights it more than other industries.

    I think sparrow was an Adilah member. The group had 4 females (Letang, Karabo, Refiloe,Thembisile) n 1 male (Tumi). It was rumoured that Tumi had a thing with Refiloe. Please confirm Sparrowtjie aka Tumi.
